Reading the comments today, everyone is for Canada, including us Americans. Trump is an idiot and we want his idiocy to end. We want to be friends, not the opposite!

As an American, I'm sad about what my government is doing to a long time friend. Canadians, I'm sorry about this.

Dear our friends of the world, please know that we American disown this horrible, terrible, no good president and his government. Many of us are currently suffering, too.?

That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse. Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America: This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator. And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided. So what do we do about it? I know I’m preaching to the choir here. I have lived in Canada for almost 50 years.. The United States of America has been our closest neighbour and friend ever since I came here.. \nLong before I came here Canada and the US were partners… \nWe relied on each other, we supported each other and we profited from each other..\nLet me make it perfectly clear I consider myself Canadian and I love the Americans like they were my own brothers and sisters.. \nAlso let it be known that our government does not speak for the citizens of this country… \nWe are being forced by the government to follow the rules. His only mistake was not to talk to his Canadian in the same way about the external diplomatic journey. I'm quite surprised that every country thinks America is a friend. My dear folks, AMERICA DOESN'T HAVE FRIENDS, ONLY INTERESTS. If it wasn't Trump then I'm sure it's only because he was too busy ordering the National Guard to power hose and pepper spray the 30 or so elderly nuns who had been distributing bottled water to folks demonstrating in support of Black Lives Matter on the hottest day of the year. Satisfied in his victorious battle against the nuns - 9 of whom had been hospitalized for critical injuries including the 92 year old Mother Superior who suffered massive brain bleed, swelling and concussion due to the excessive force of the power hose and an 87 year old nun who lost permanent sight in one eye due to the pepper spray - Trump had the nerve to pose for a publicity shot in front of the church while holding a Bible - UPSIDE DOWN - and scrunching and contorting his face into that hideous trademark scowl he does ever so naturally. Yep. This is the man my fellow Americans chose to represent our nation as President - a man who beats up 90 year old nuns and imposes 25% tax hikes to our ONLY FRIEND in the entire world simply for refusing to accept his invitation for statehood. As a Canadian I am shocked that very few Americans seem to care at what Trump is doing to their country. It's not the tariffs on all of the US's former allies but that he has dumped its allies to appease Trumps good friend Putin. I am looking at dismay watching the US go from being the leader of the free world to just another dictatorship run by billionaires, America is Russia. It's up to you America to stop this, no one is going to come to help you. Good luck you are going to need it.
