They did not and still are not allowing any Palestinian who are willing to leave the country due to health or maybe because they don't want their children and woman to suffer under constant bombing and terror from Israel and Hamas ...\nIt's not only always the west or Israel the biggest problem is that the Arab countries rather out of political and ideological reason watch how the Palestinian ppl suffer each day under horrible conditions then letting at least the children, woman and hurted ones escape to safety ... This is not about Palestinian not wanting to give up their land ... It's more about them getting used by politicians and radical islamic ideologies and as a result being ropped their freedom and being used as human shields to use it as a political weapon against Israel and the west ... And the sad thing about it is that so far they are quite successful with it ... Look I'm not saying Israel is doing everything right they are also making constant use of inhumane methods to justify their cause and goal but at least they are fighting also for the Arab refugees in their state ... In terms of Western values and basic humane rights Muslim ppl living in Israel have it by far better than in most other radical islamic countries

I'm an American who moved to Canada in 2009 and I'm quite happy never living in The US.\n\n\nWhile Canada is not immune from many of the social ills of The US, they are nowhere near as prevalent.\n\nGun crime is far less of a problem here. Racism exists but it is not as virulent here and the government, while not specifically trying to help me (I am black) it is not trying to hurt me or dehumanize me.\n\nLife is just...generally...more civil here and community minded.\n\nI'm not saying that I hate The US, just that I. Much happier and feel safer here.\n\nAt my age (62), that is important to me.

Well, as a Canadian, I guess i'll pitch in.\nWould I move to the US? The short answer is no. But I will explain more in detail.\n\nFirst, I do not see any advantages to the US compared to Canada. Americams often tout their country as the beacon of freedom and the land of opportunities, but I don't feel that Canada is so different there. We're actually higher on the world freedom index, and its not like our economy was in shambles and everyone dirt poor... We pay more taxes, fine, but we also get more services in return, and that last part has the advantage to remove a big layer of worry. Like, for healthcare, I don't have to worry if i'm covered by insurance or not, or if the insurance carrier will drop me on some technicality. I'm a citizen. All the basic needs are covered; no questions asked (and the healthcare quality is not half bad. We just prioritize urgent cases over non-urgent; so if you go to the hospital for something non-urgent, you will wait, and more urgent cases will pass before you. Annoying when it happens, but I understand and agree with that in the end)\n\nSecond, I do see a lot of disadvantages. All the points raised in the video are valid, from the private-sector healthcare system, the gun control laws (or lack thereof), the social policies and legislation in some states; they don't agree with me.\n\nI think it comes down to some specific social and cultural ideas that are prevalent or at least present in a substantial manner in the american society. Bear in mind that I am generalizing here, not every american believes these points, but many do. I'm talking about ego, nationalism/patriotism, secularism etc.\nI feel that the US often has a really overinflated vision of itself. Like, the idea that America is the best. At everything. Everyone in the US is taught a lot about the US themselves in school, but not much about the rest of the world. I've seen a poll somewhere where 48% of americans were AGAINST the separation of church and state. For me thats not only insane, its dangerous. I'm a Canadian citizen I came legally under Federal Skilled worker pathway. I had cancer and recently lost my eyesight due to slip and fall. I sponsored my nephew 2021 as I am alone in Canada. But as a taxpayer, it hurts ?why does it take too long for immigration to consider its own citizens. My nephew had his medicals in August 2022 and nothing from immigration up to now. They prioritize Ukraine and Syria over taxpayers citizens. Too unorganized and fake. Pretending to help people at war and calamities from other countries neglecting its own people who contribute to economy.?

So I think Canada is ranked 3rd best in the world to live in (I might be wrong but it's top 5 for sure). While Canada does have issues (like any other country in the world) What you outline highlights the privileged life you are living. You are correct in pointing out that the health care system is flawed, it is not perfect by all means but AT LEAST YOU ARE GETTING HEALTH CARE. Take the stats for example (I had the privilege of going to the hospital in Texas) My bill came to 3000 for a twisted ankle. They charged me over 500 dollars just for walking into the hospital. I'm not knocking that stats, but if you do not have money, you're fucked for health care. Instead of waiting 8 hours to see a doctor, you're now on Web MD trying to diagnose yourself. You are bitching about high taxes, how do you think Schools, Police and fire services, Emergency service hospitals etc etc etc get paid? through wishes and hope? You are again welcome to go anywhere else and enjoy whatever bs they have going they might have low taxes in other parts of the world but your going to have to pay for certain services you are taking for granted here. As Cost of living, if you live in Toronto or BC yes the cost of living is high, but at the same time, the average household income is high as well. I'm sorry minimum wage in most of Canada is roughly 15 dollars an hour, and the average incoming for most provinces is over 100k. I'm not sure what else to say on that subject :D As for things to do, seriously, stop living under a rock. Please go and travel Canada, to name a few things you can travel to Niagara, Go to Banff, Visit hot springs or enjoy any of our national parks. Not to mention all the multicultural festivals that take place. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, Canada is flawed and has its issues. I'm Canadian, when I sold my home of 20 years and was moving away I wanted to say goodbye to my neighbors, it was the last time we would see each other I had gifts for them, they were home but they wouldn't answer my knocks and open their doors to talk, it was hurtful, I thought they were friendly but it was phoney friendliness.

I'm an Indian, born and brought up in India. In 2019, my parents wanted me to go to Canada through the express entry program. My father had recently sold a property and we had a lumpsum amount of money to show in the bank account for this program. However, when I researched and saw that after a Master's degree in India, and while being paid well according to Indian standards I will have a difficulty finding job there even with 7+ years working in the IT sector. I found out that I might have to work in a restaurant in Canada before I could find a job that would suit my calibre, I was totally under a lot of stress. My family kept pushing, but I finally decided to put the money into buying a property in India. I think it's a better decision. I have maids who come to my place to cook and clean and not the other way around. I will never let my self esteem be hurt because I wanna chase some elusive dream. I think the practical thing is to stay here than go there.\nHowever, I am open to thoughts, correct me if I'm wrong.

For Canada small thing like broken arm or need information or certain medication i n that way Canada supior way, it's fairly quick treatment and tends to be effictive. Where Canada starts lagging behind is really in RnD and access to life saving procedures. Too many people die on waiting lists in Canada as there is not enough resources to go around, y'all have waited 4-8 H(normal is 2-4) just to be seen before don't fib to web now. \n\nAnd since we lack competition for newer/better medical procedure, 80-90% of our medical knowledge comes from the states or ww2 Germany.\n\nWhile on say the USA side, due to the competition they are constantly making advancements (which in the long run makes overall treatment cheaper and closer affordable). While with Canada you have fixed prices, which actually encourages stagnantion in development as anything that streamlines the hospital making it more efficient hurst the hospitals next year of available funding.. while being hurt in the USA can really set the individual back.\nIn Canada you get an overall lower quality of care as the talented doctors end up moving to the states where they can get paid what they are worth not stuck on a fixed income. And after all that rare illnesses in canada as stated don't have any coverage meaning that any one hit with hit rare illness finds out the hard way they can either pay for life saving medication or well pass on.. as most Canadian are taxed to high to have any substantial savings available for such an emergency as they fall into the trap that the government has me covered. \n\nSo each system has its positives and negatives and as far as I'm concerned it's not talked about enough honestly up hear.\n\nIf you have been to the dentist in canada thats basically the usa system, though the prices are fixed in some areas so some services won't be available.. as they don't update the payment schedule often enough so certain procedures pay well, other well can actually cost the dentist out of pocket. \nTherefore in some areas you can't get certain procedures done at all the dentist will refuse.

I am Latino, more or less capuccino skin (with extra milk), I can say that racial experiments here would be very interesting. I finnished university and have experience in my field. I've been looking for a job for a while, not much luck, I'm don't get called to interviews that much, I only get calls from agents that show me positions in company that I apply for but 90% of the time get rejected right away. \n\nI have white friends, one of them didn't study university. It hasn't been easy for him either, but he's pretty lazy, I know for a fact he didn't search much and got 7 interviews in 3 months while I hardly got called for 3 companies with the help of 5 agents. He got a job for which he needed training, I got rejected for that job and I do have experience in that field. I have to say it hurts. Funny thing, even he says it's suspicious because he couldn't answer many questions on the interview

I'm Lithuanian and I lived in UK. I left because of racism. It's nasty when it is targeted at you but I get it. In London I was doing parking enforcement and all parking officers knew that you have to be very cautious with people of certain nationalities. I was racially profiling myself. It is nasty but that is the reality - some people are more dangerous than others. And it hurts a lot when you are trying to be a good human and being racially profiled yourself.

growing up in canada, i felt left out in the blk community b/c i am a 5th generation blk cdn on mom's side and 3rd on my dad's - when other black ppl not canadian born met me - i tell them i'm cdn, but i always used to get the question - where are you really from - they were looking for me to say the islands - when i told them my paternal grandma was born in 1901 in canada - that's when the questions stopped. i've been told that b/c i wasn't from the islands, i had no culture in college, but a mbr of the black student society put him in his place i heard he got into a lot of trouble. i was asked what do we eat as in food as canadians what kind of music do we listen to - at our blk canadian weddings, the only carribean song played was hot hot hot by arrow - we played straight up r and b and motown. i hv been rejected by other blk men b/c i'm not west indian enough...it was hurtful. even with 'friends' they made of my cdn heritage but i used to think, why are you making fun of me knowing that my family and ancestors were in canada first - they were 1st generation - i live in the usa now and i'm with an african american man - he has never treated me as if i were different and he loves going w/me to canada. my parents told me it was jealousy on those ppl's parts - one guy i used to be friends with in college, when i went to his house, his mom was from the islands, when she met me - she said, 'you cdn ppl are loud' and that did it for me - i didn't date her son but when he met my parents, they never said any of that crap to him. in the usa, the african americans don't treat differently at all - my ex mom in law thought we were american but decided to live in canada - b/c she was surprised that blacks do live in canada. her other daughter in law's family were from the islands - but she gravitated more to my family and felt comfortable around them more than her family and this ex sis in law would brag about the islands this and that and she would make comments about my looks being skinny and such but it was jealousy - i didn't care much for her b/c she was very insecure. i felt once again, i was a young girl in college again - being around island ppl....i would love to meet drake and ask him did he feel left out and isolated because he wasn't from the islands - he makes me very proud being a blk canadian - his dad is african american and his mom is jewish. i still hv dealt w/racism not much with wht ppl, but with my own ppl - which is quite sad and on top of it-colorism, that also played a part from my family - being called pygmy, chocolate dip, nappy hair - it hurt but these so called relatives, they aren't all that anymore, they had hard lives as children...when ppl see something in you that is special and they don't have, that's when their ugliness shows -

In america there is a new law allowing the government not only the right to detain indefinitely american's, but the right to kill them to. So if this is a law that has been thru congress in a ''peaceful'' country, then why is this of any shock to you? stop lessening to the media! I'm a muslim and I will never hurt anyone. I was actually mocking the very poorly worded comment above that was suggesting the the UK will soon be Muslim. Maybe that didn't come across or you find sarcasm difficult to grasp. As for me being an ignorant moron, well we can't all reach the lofty intellectual heights of hoping some of my relatives get hurt as you did.
