I share the same sentiments as these Canadian citizens.I'm an immigrant myself, and it is our moral obligation, to respect the culture and Laws, etc. There are people coming from other countries, especially in certain parts of Asia, as if they are here to take over Canada. Some years ago I was going home from work about 9 :45 pm and an Indian female told me to get up from beside her, so her friend could sit beside her.

I'm fifth generation born Canadian and this is not Canada anymore. It's a disgrace, disgusting, despicable and 100% CRIMINAL and pathetic that we have no rights or freedoms in our own country but illegal immigrants do! I can't even afford my life saving medication for diabetes and I get turned down for any and all government assistance, please explain how the hell that happens? They are literally killing us off one by one!

Hi from Indiana. I’m not familiar with life in Canada and I’m shocked to watch what is going on right now in your video. Maybe it’s not too late if your government can figure out to modify some of the immigration laws that will give back the power, the benefit, and advantage to a natural born Canadian. 800 thousand foreigners coming in in the last three months? What’s with that? That’s so shocking. Looks like a legalized invasion/occupation. I’m like you, I was a legal immigrant from Asia in the late 70s retired now and love my great state of Indiana. My family has been here for almost 50 years fully acculturated to the values and culture of American life with my husband and two grown boys. This is my adopted beloved country now. I am everything that it is about. I still know how to speak my birth language only when I go home for vacation. I don’t use it even to speak to a fellow Asian when I see that an English speaking native born American is within ear’s reach. That young lady might be dead with brain tumor before she gets her MRI. That’s unacceptable. Here you go to the ER and if you need an MRI you get admitted and most like have it the next day. Or Y

Most of the immigrants landing here in Canada are not boosting our economy but just becoming a liability taking the country backward rather than progress. Tye government should stop immigration including refugees, at least for a while. Not that I don’t want to help these people but we just dont have the resources for now to accommodate them. ‘m shocked to hear that 817,000 people landed in Canada. Add three zeros to it because these people pay at least a $1000 as administrative fee to government IRCC. So that is $817,000,000 Canadian Dollars. Close to a Billion. What is government doing with this money? No Government, we Canadians dont want that money in our GDP. He has enough natural resources that can sustain ourself. Stop selling cheap oil to US. And back to people who come here as immigrants. You are in a different country to have a new life. There is no point in protecting here in Canada about the things happening in your home country. Have some common sense. It’s just an other news for media. When you do such things, Canadian resource are wasted like cops have to make sure the protest goes peacefully and many more. People who are not part of it are getting affected. And to all immigrants please please please, speak in english. I know that you all are comfortable speaking in your native language. My neighbour is a high skilled import for a Canadian job. Now he still lives in Canada but works remote for a US organization and he still isn’t a citizen. Something smells fishy, huh. I’m a high skilled Canadian but couldn’t find permanent work after a layoff in 2015. Funny how in my contract roles I constantly work alongside so many new arrivals that find work 2 months after they get here. I’m sure $$ in wages and subsidies were involved.

I’m worried that, if Canada imports a racial underclass, Canada will become racist in the same way Americans are racist. Right now, the sketchy people, the criminals and the addicts, aren’t so much racially distinct from everyone else. But, if non-white people acquire a collective reputation as unemployed, criminal, poor or otherwise sketchy, whether due to immigration or something else, Canadians (white or non-white) are going to associate racial non-whiteness with low status, sketch, lumpenprol. And once people make that association forms, Canada is going to become a much worse place for all brown people.

Since I began working in 1980 at 15 years old I praised all of materials and tools that I bought from your country Canada. All of them still work 45 years later. I'm in the middle east. My mom was Canadian born and my dad American. I support Canada. Trump is mad cuz he can't take over Canada as the 51st state. Canada has a secure border. Most imports are coming in from the UK, Australia, France, Greece etc.

As a Brit... I've been to Canada many times (the first time as a soldier in 1981) and of late in the likes of BC, I've fished there. Love, love, love Canada and the Canadians. I've been to America too, and I love it there also. And while I'm not always a good judge of people...I flatter myself I'm a VERY good judge of character. I’m a 53 year old Canadian. I went to college on an athletic scholarship & lived there for 10 years after turned professional in my sport. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.

We are no in good shape economically to support other countries' economies. We need companies to come back to produce in the USA and those extra charges are an incentive to start producing again in the USA. After our economy is better, we can make new deals. \nAbout Fentanyl, it is funny that he said that it was all good and after that, saying just in the last months implemented all kinds of security measures. LOL \nHe speaks nice, but he is not a smart guy. Putting tariffs back to the USA makes it worse with Donald Trump. Donald Trump is a businessman, he can keep increasing the taxes and in the end, Canada will be hurt more than the USA. I suggest to peacefully open a negotiation with Trump, not to fight back at the same level... don't take it personally, it is just business.

I'm a Canadian. I am trying to wrap my head around why a President would start a trade war by imposing tariffs that hurt their allies and hurt his own people..!? I am not an economist nor an investor; However I found it interesting that the immediate result of this as they corresponded about this news is how the markets are taking a major dive. If I wanted to make money off the stock market and had no morals and had the power to cause it to crash, I would make sure it crashed hard by imposing tariffs. Then I would invest as many billions in the key stocks that will come back, and watch my billions turn into 10's or 100's of billions...\nThe other possible explanation could simply be that he wants all the critical minerals from Canada, Greenland, Ukraine for nothing. Taking those minerals for free and selling electric cars, miliatary equipment, etc. would be most profitable!\nBut greed seems to know no bounds for those who are wealthy, as long as it's at their gain and not at their expense!

Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. To all Canadian's, I did not vote for him and tried to convince others of how bad his was, but here we are. I love Canada. I have been to Canada several times and the people have been so warm and welcoming. It is beyond sad to see this happening.
