This situation is far worse for Canada than for the U.S. Trudeau knows this. History is being made. As an American, let me respond with, I don't need anything Canada is exporting. Pretty sure this will hurt Canadians far more than it's gonna hurt Americans. For those of you on here that might not grasp the situation, Canada has a higher value of exports into America than America has exports into Canada by over $100 Billion. Good Luck Canada.

Canadian’s can’t live month to month with the Sword of Damocles over our heads. I am glad we didn’t capitulate this month. These tariffs may hurt Canada more than the US but we are clearly far too dependent on the US and will benefit more from the tariffs in the long run (by reducing our dependency).

Ya know, it’s honestly comical that some many people have these knee jerk responses to anything they deem “negative” STRICTLY for the fact that it came from Trump, and rather know TRULY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING behind the reason why these “negative” things are said or done in the first place… I ASSURE YOU 99% of the people complaining about this Canada tariff don’t know that it’s simply to (essentially) force Canada to agree to ramp up their border DEA enforcement/presence to help cut down on the illegal drug trade (primarily fentanyl) coming into America! If more of these people complaining knew this reasoning behind it, I think that would quite honestly shut a lot of them up! And to be completely honest with you, that failure falls on NO ONE MORE THAN THE JADED MEDIA!! I truly believe THAT is hands down the biggest failure in our nation currently!! I support the USA. The tariffs will hurt Canada and Mexico far more than the USA. In 2023 - 76% of Canada's exports were shipped to the US. That is 19% of their total GDP. Mexico exported 78% of its exports to the US, which is 37% of its GDP. US exports to Canada & Mexico combined were only 2.7%. Both countries will need to find other buyers or capitulate. No wonder Trudeau is screaming like a stray dog hit by a rock.

We deeply respect and value our neighbors to the North and South. While we understand these tariffs will impact all consumers, as Americans, we acknowledge that Canada and Mexico's responses are a direct result of policy decisions beyond their control. My hope is that in a not so far off future, we can repair our everlasting relationships and continue to thrive united as partners.
