I applied for canadian immigration in the mid 2000s. I ticked all the qualification. I am qualified and i even have enough money to support myself for more than a year even though i have lots of friends and relatives in canada. AND YET, my application was turned down. Then i read canada allowed even unqualified immigrants from other parts of the world just bcoz.... Maybe its a blessing in disguise for me coz many friends i know are coming back home. I have recently come across the case of a young Irish woman with a brain tumour currently living in Canada and whose treatment by the Canadian public health system has been frankly shocking. I live in Britain and over the last few years, there have been increasingly negative reports coming out of Canada, in particular regarding its lax immigration system; its encouragement of Third World migrants; adoption of multiculturalism and an illiberal liberalism which has seen conservative figures like Dr Jordan Peterson bullied and professionally sidelined. It sounds like a lot pf the blame can be laid at the door of its virtue-signalling, narcissistic prime minister, Justin Trudeau. Tragic that yet another great society built by Europeans is now in the process of being dismantled.

Unfortunately I was born there and wasted 23 years of my life there...but I made up for it spending the last 24 in Japan. God works in mysterious ways. :D It's just fucked up that I own 13 homes in Japan and even if I sold ALL of them, I could probably barely afford a DUMP in Vancouver...or maybe just an old condo. Canada used to be a great country. Now it's a good place only for the rich! Yet, the country is still accepting 500.000 immigrants per year and the fact is many will have to leave simply because they will not be able to earn enough to support themselves. Even more sad is the illusion that many immigrants have that Canada is a great country and that they will be much better off than in their home country. They won't!

Why and how the great, rich North America got to this state of misery in 21 century?! What are the real reasons? You nailed it Sonia, me and my family of as been living here for about 17 years and yes we have been through it all, so I could actually feel the clock turning as you spoke. I would like to add one thing though which you are right about that, if you are planning to come and start now, it definitely is not the time to come, 17 years ago was a different time and I can also tell you that we feel the pain yet even now to make ends meet. Honestly, life was good until a few years ago but now the value is declining to a great extent, again as a disclaimer this is my personal experience and would probably apply differently to different individuals. Back about 15 years ago I was down in Indiana on Ohio. In the people I met in the Midwest states. Great people laid back hard workers. America might have its problems, but so does Canada. Lot of similarities between both countries. And as for Canada's free health care. It's not so good right now. People are having hard time finding doctors. People wait hours to get into appointments. The only thing nice about free healthcare. Is it's free for some people and relatively affordable for other people. But it's not the best healthcare in the world. Like people said, least in America, you can go in and see a doctor and you're in and out pretty quick. But if you don't have free health care yet pay for it

Nice candid video Tyler. I have a good friend (a Jusey Gurl) who moved to Canada like 20ish years ago I think mainly because of an ex. I think she appreciates the health care as well with my talks with her over the years. She and I've been thinking this lately that Canadians have either changed or that Canadians are more friendly stereotype is going down .I think with more immigration, the cost of living and frozen pay and higher and higher taxes Canadians are increasing discouraged with politics and Canada in general. You noticed many of the woman mentioning health care and social programs as well? Police... We have a lot here as well maybe more so because of pay. The police are well looked after and paid well here. I think politics are getting more polar and more divisive here as well. The liberals have really really done a stellar job with two terms of sheer WEF CCP hogwash to destroy the country. Another general stereotype is that Americans are obnoxious and unpleasant isn't true as well. I'm in tourism and find most of the Yanks to be friendly and polite and GREAT TIPPERS. Ha many US servers don't like it when Canucks go over there because they're stingy. I think if everything works out without saying more, your country, like it or not , will ultimately start the big liberation finally of humanity hopefully for the better. I visited Florida a few times (for a few months at a time each)... great place to visit. but only visit. aside from the hurricane season, the health care is -expensive-, iffy, yet good at the same time. People switch doctors there frequently cause of this. There is a lot of theft and homeless and raceism. but. its Florida so I'm no longer surprised.

A lifetime of visiting American cousins (upstate NY!, Michigan, Cali, Texas) that wrap themselves in the flag and declare the US 100% better for everything made me expect a very different video.\nCanada is no longer all that great, but ... top 10% of income / wealth you're better off in the US (but for MOST people the extra wealth doesn't buy happiness).\nNext 25% is about the same, your quality of life is the pretty much the same in either place so long as you don't have a health crisis.\nBottom 65% - move to Canada if you can, or better yet ANYWHERE in the EU. If you have a CompSci or Engineering degree, the EU is a better choice except for a certain amount of culture shock and the mandatory language rules. Of course, if you have the opportunity and funds to move ... you don't need to.\nIf you are of Nordic descent the appropriate Scandinavian country is definitely a better choice, but my understanding is that they are not very tolerant of others.

After living in China and before that Europe, Canada is an apocalyptic dystopia. Want to leave hardly having arrived. Just got home from a nice evening walk downtown, Toronto is still a great city but it's definitely declined in the last 10-15 years. It used to be a relatively clean and safe-feeling city. Now there are weird smells everywhere, garbage beside luxury buildings. Scary people around on the street and on the TTC. Despite this there are still good people, cool things, not too far gone yet but we need action now.

So I want more clarity on this, tho I'm yet to be married, but we ( Future hubby and I) planned on getting legally hitched before we enter the pool, so I calculated the score based on his age and working experience. For the NOC, does it have to be in a particular field or general working experience. He was once a teacher ( about 4 years or more experience and now he as switched I to Telecommunications. He has 2 and half yrs of experience in the telecomms field, and also do I need to evaluate my cert( ond and hnd) or he can evaluate only his bsc when we both write IELTS to give more score. Yaknow, as a Mexican who's great grandmother came here legally ive always found it odd.. here in America, there isn't allowed to be any places with a specific culture or identity. For example, look at Mexico itself. If you live in Mexico, you are mexican. You'll act mexican regardless. And outside people look at this, and say it's good.. then you get to America, and you have Americans asking foreigners and people attempting to come to THEIR land for better opportunities and all they ask is to follow their customs, cultures, and laws. Yes, it's great to let immigration in, especially ones that pay taxes, but it's overburdening both the rental/housing demand (which needs opposing pressure to lower prices) as well as healthcare demand, which is not being properly addressed. Instead our healthcare system is flooded. And it's inefficient and expensive as is already. We just need to tame the number of people we allow in, and grow our ability to self-sustain first.\n- It's too late now, but government policies to give out money during COVID was poorly executed, yet plentiful. When 40% of currency was printed in the last year/two, no doubt we will have inflation. This was never touched upon in the video. Resources/social supports should have been provided rather than just straight up $$$. There was an excess of money given to places they shouldn't have been. We saw a boom in industries like say hobbies and games, showing additional money being wasted where it should have been used for food and shelter. \n- Canadian government is not trying to be as aggressive to retain Canadian companies. We are heavily dependent on US corporations and hence the brain drain as well. Salaries do not compare, especially when remote work is now possible. \n\nWe are already deep in the hole and need to be more financially responsible. I'd strongly disagree with the last statement in this video that we are perceived as corrupt (there's been lots of civil unrest because of government misspending). We are civil and polite, but that's not what helps economies grow, as OCED forecasts as well.
