How did she travel the world. I'm 61 now and made ok money but worked 12 -16 hrs per day 6 days per week. I could never afford to travel other than camping in Canada, BC. ,1 trip to Mexico and 1 trip to Hawaii. I did spend 80% of my money toward a house for the last 35 years. Another similarity that can trip up first time visitors. The price you see is often not the price you have to pay. Both countries often add taxes to the purchases. That $10 item becomes $11 in the US or $11.50 in Canada. In most other countries taxes are included in the posted price.

i did the math. one flight had 80 migrants. 25k per hour C17 fuel cost. roughly 600mph, 8 hour round trip. not counting personnel and maintenance. 400k round trip. 5k per migrant. WTF. Why would you not use commercial flights. How has the media not spotted this glaring expenditure? Insane.................... Not even talking about tariffs now.......... Cost to US citizens food. I'm American and have taken trips to Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. I find the people to be very friendly and very helpful in getting around. There really are a lot of pluses in both countries.

As an NRI for a decade in Germany, I can assure you that not a single person in the developed western world looks at India with a nicer opinion. They think of it as a necessary baggage. They will only allow Visa on Arrival/E-Visa for people whom they respect and would like to be in the country. While I do not want to get into how some Indians behave when they are on their EU trip, Indians in India do not behave well too. This involves hygiene, roads, infrastructure, intelligence, corruption, etc. Indians tend to look at the Indian flag with tears in their eyes while listening to A.R. Rahman’s “Vande Mataram” with Bharat Bala’s video. But the reality in the western world is this: India is a loud, messy, unhygienic, poorly organized country filled with corruption and crime everywhere. Now, why would a well-developed country open their doors to potentially unruly 1.4 billion people? The reason for visa rejection is that a lot of them simply apply for a tourist visa and never leave. If someone really needs to travel, they will have the money and the motivation to apply multiple times. Hence, the first check with multiple layers of bureaucracy.

We want them to book a trip home and stay there

This is where our PM’s call for domestic travel more including destination weddings than foreign tours. Many who prefer to travel abroad might not have travelled internally at all or a little travelled. Many may not have seen beautiful North Eastern states namely Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura. Connectivity was problem once not now. Many might not have gone to Andaman and\n Laksha Dweep islands. Sikkim, Goa, Kashmir and south India offers more and cheaper. Foreign travel is ok for business trips and not definitely for pleasure. Bharat is more beautify and cheaper and let us burn our money here instead of getting humiliated through rejected visa stamps besides losing visa fee paid for visiting foreign destinations.

I’m not Indian National however I feel proud that this nation has build ‘herself’ as the 5th largest global economy and if some of the following ways are adapted by Indian Gov, the Indian passport will be saluted.\n1) Make your currency strong as in Raja Ranjeet Singh’s time 1 Indian puree was ten (£10) British Pounds, today it’s 100 Rupee to £1.\n2) Need to hold educational tests for everyone going abroad with a minimum level of English language.\n3) Emphasis on etiquettes and local Knowledge of the country where the traveller wants to visit.\n4) Stop all of illegal immigration via people smuggling agents as this gives a bad name to the country.\n5) Set a minimum benchmark amount of funds required before applying for an overseas visa.\n6) Make it mandatory for all travellers to have a full fare return ticket (12 months validity) on them at all times to show strong ties to return back home after trip.\n7) Create strong religious tolerance and harmony within the country so the world can see no religious discrimination being reported on international media worldwide.\n8) The Indian embassies all around the world should be aware and weary of each Indian national traveling abroad in real time so they f any help is require they can assist 24/7 without failure.\nThese are some of my points and opinions for a better India.\nI hope the people who read above will not be offended by any of my opinions as this is not my intention and I am well wisher and want to see this nation thrive, always.\nGood luck and all the best…

I just wish one wouldn't have to pay again and again after a Visa rejection. It should be free to apply again for the same trip (time period) by the same people/person. \n\nOr give some time to fix/resubmit the issues that led to Visa rejection.

Other than behavioural attitude it depends upon the how the country projects the image to the outside world. \n\nSecond reason, more the people settling abroad more the rejection. Less the people settling down in abroad more the visa. \n\nI lived in GCC for many years they give visa easily to Europe and the US because these people go for pleasure trip and come back not to settle down
