Wow.. it is sad to depart a place where you've grown up in and call home. VERY SCARY but exciting at the same time. Our family had to leave and reset our lives over 2 generations due to communism and really didn't have a choice. Glad you have the COURAGE/fortitude to commit to move and for the opportunity of choice. I understand how daunting it can be but you have made the hardest decision now. My heart extends to you and wish you the safest journey in spirit, travels and resettlement. \nI am in Australia and grateful for all the opportunities it has provided us but it has become very expensive but not as bad as the US. Its safe and still have a lot of the values we've come to appreciate. Come visit if you haven't been here.\n All the very best. ❤

I completely agree with you. Canadian immigration policy should carefully consider the quality of individuals entering the country. As an Indian, I’ve personally encountered several instances of rude behavior from people who don’t represent the best of our community, including one just yesterday while I was walking with my mom on the street. I wish the situation will improve.

We would like to have you as a neighbor here in Mexico Alina, I'm not going to lie to you, we have some states in which, like even in Canada, insecurity is present, but considering how professional and analytical you are, I think you could choose some strategic place here in Mexico so you can continue with your profession. No matter where you choose, I wish you the best for your plans.

As a Canadian born, I won't be far behind you guys. I don't blame you at all. It is sad just how unaffordable canada is now. I bought my first home at 27, 40 years ago. Prices now are insane. Grocery costs are through the roof. Best wishes. New subscriber.

Allow a 75 year old to advise you. 1. Listen to advice. At 33 we have often had a lot of experience and therefore confidence. However developing perspective that is really relevant takes a long time. 2. I notice some people who are commenting recommend Malaysia. They are correct.\nProbably at your age the digital nomad visa is easiest in the first instance. 3. I am familiar with Canada, US, and several other countries. I am Australian and have been retired in north Thailand for 16 years. Am happy here but will be moving to Malaysia shortly. 4. Space does not allow me to list all the reasons for giving you this advice. Understand that if you live there, moving on to Singapore for a more dynamic business environment. 5. The downside for you may be the full-time hot and humid weather. In addition the dating scene may be unsatisfactory, at least initially. I started this comment before I realised you had already selected a country, but am sending it anyway. It is unlikely you will want y ask me anything, but feel free if you do. Best wishes.

I wish you well on your journey to poverty - Canada ranks # 9 Economically on earth. So the best countries for you are the ones ranked below Canada. You want affordable, You want stability, You want Pie in the sky go find your perfect hole in the Earth. Those countries ranked above Canada make canada look almost cheap. But you go right ahead. Please get rid of the Citizenship while you are at it, there are line-ups on line-ups to get into Canada. Best wishes for your move from Canada. Canada is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. However, Canada is largely unaffordable. America is unaffordable. Many in the working and middle classes are leaving. The cost of a home in nice communities in America averages over 1M Dollars. Tiny, old, fixer-upper homes in America average around $500,000 or more. The average rent for a very small apartment is over $1,500. Rents for apartments in upscale neighborhoods average around $3,500-$7,500 a month. Increasing cost of living in America is a problem. Some working people making average pay are living in their vehicles. Others making well over $100,000/year are leaving because they will not overspend on housing. People are moving to Mexico, Panama, South America, France, Portugal, Spain, Eastern Europe, Greece, Asia, etc. for affordable cost of living.

I was born in Moldova. Brought to Canada against my will while a teenager. Got married in Canada. My kids were born and grew up in Canada, one graduated high school already in Canada and the other one is in grade 10. \nI got a career at TD that I gave up in Canada. Few years ago before quiting my job I told my wife I'm done with Canada.\nI was lucky that moldovans due to historical events before WW2 are allowed to resore their Romanian citizenship and I did that. My kids by law had to restore their EU citizenship as well. \nRight now I'm in Romania and I'm in the process of selling everything in Canada and bringing my wife and kids over. \nIt was the best decision of my life. It's such a breath of fresh air to see that people can live a normal life with normal taxes and life values. \nFor those who are behind, if you have means and ways to move just run while it's not too late. Life is one and don't waste it on corrupt politicians that from boredome and easy money only have one wish: to enslave you mentally, physically and financially. Run while you can.

HOME. Whenever I traveled? You know it's a lot of work to GO? Lots of preparations. But coming home? Never any regrets. No, 'Oh, wish I could stay'. Maybe other places? But went to several nice places. Coming home!!\nComing into YVR, home soil. Born here. Will most likely die here.\nYes, I grew up not knowing or having fear. Blessed. Such a lovely and genuine woman you are. I, too, left my home country, as my parents left Lithuania, to build a new life in America. While it saddens me to be away from my roots, I've found a better life here in Phuket, Thailand. I know you've visited here a couple of times, and I can’t help but wonder if you’ll return to the Land of Smiles to share your special smile and wonderful character. I was born in Sudbury in 1973 and we moved to Ottawa shortly after. Growing in Ottawa in the 80's were the best years of my life. I obviously didn't know that back then! Nowadays, there's not a week in Ottawa without at least more than one shootings. The houses our parents bought in the 70's for $35000 are worth now more than $600000... I sincerely don't recognise our society anymore. It's almost as if all that we knew back then is gone! I'm really sad for today's teenagers and young adults. I really wish we could go 40 years back!!!

I'm very curious where you're moving to! I was living in the UK for a few years, and then Ireland. I moved back home to Canada two years ago. I'm glad I came home, life is getting very difficult there too, and I get to spend more time with my family. I'm actually doing better financially now in Nova Scotia. I feel like it all depends on your personal circumstances. The grass isn't always greener. I wish you all the best abroad! ?

An alternative might be to stay and make a difference as Canada needs intelligent people like yourself to be the solution. On the other hand at 33 I understand that you can't wait for things to change as it is a turning point in your life. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours.

I don't blame you, a lot of my friends from Canada have left for Asia or Latin America because of the extreme high cost of living, housing prices skyrocketing as well as taxes. Watching your other videos, Asia, Thailand? ?. I wish you the best!

Nothing new with things changing over time and Capitalism and overpopulation is making every country change for worse. The best we can do is chase the light of dead stars and go somewhere that's not so bad YET. That's what drove me to move from Brazil to Canada and that's what's driving me to move from a big city to a smaller town. I wish you the best of luck.

Now memory came back to me when I was in Vancouver for 3 days and enjoyed my time over Canada in 2015 for a concert, Canada was the first country I've visited outside of the United States I'll never for get it the people where amazing very polite there was a moment in my life that I wanted to move to Canada now thinking over my decision after some years later I'm glad I didn't. I can't believe how bad it has gotten I'm now sure its gotten worse now. Respect your decision I glad to see your doing it, I would love to experience life for us... we only live once it'll be amazing for anyone do what you are doing, I have been thinking of going over doing content about traveling because it is about the journey and if for some reason If I like then.... go for it!
