She is right. Being an Indian I have faced discrimination in Maharashtra originating from Uttar Pradesh. My fellow north east friends face discrimination everyday across India. \nWe Indians ourselves are the most discriminating people.

It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. Hard and always ti achieve your goals.\n\n\nThere is such a thing as a labor market and everything coexists in balance. \n\n The only thing whether it's too hard for you or you will not give up ?.

Well lets be fair, why blaming immigrants on the current problem that Canada is facing right now?. no one taking a job from Canadian, it just that somes don’t like to work here in a minimum wages and sometimes they can’t stay longer in their work and quit very easily. So we can’t blame the companies to chose those people who are accepting the low job salary. However, Canada is a country who always loves welcoming immigrants that is why they choose to come here but\nEverything is out of control now so limiting is the best option but not only for immigrants, but try to limit also accepting a refugee as well. I don't hate international students, and I understand that they came here with hopes for a brighter future. But... evidently, we have to face the fact that this is not the same Canada that it was 10 or 5 years ago. This Canada has fallen so bad it cannot even sustain its own citizens, let alone non-citizens. It's tough luck, but they shouldn't have chosen Canada, not with the way it is right now.

yes canada is not racist and no one can make such generalization. however it is clear by many comments that racism clearly exists. international students are not just from india. they are from many countries. many come from nigeria also but rebel news or harrison and others would not say one word against anyone who is black. if all these people were from uk or europe then would this even be an issue to anyone? be honest. i am not taking sides. i been in canada for 40 years and my loyalty is to canada and for sure i would say there was lot of racism when i came in 1988. from grade 6 to 9 life was terrible here. things changed over time and my kids have not experienced racism for most of there life here but now i am seeing the bullies type that i faced are returning more and more especially online. rebel news and harrison (forgot his last name) are motivating such people. i had 2 racism incident in last few months. majority of indians are not trouble makers and are amongst the richest community in all of canada with the lowest crimes. many indian doctors, nurses, IT sector, engineers etc... now where does the problem lie. it is with poor immigration policies which lowered its standards. the requirements has to be raised higher and highly educated bunch is who we should bring in. many people from punjab india are involved in crimes and drugs and these are the people involved in the separatist movement and jagmeet and justin brought them in for votes. they need to go and so do those who are not loyal to canada. those of you who are racist i can give you a history lesson of the kkk or the crusaders but i know too many good people who i rather not group with you. in fact there is no need to go that route. you can never get rid of all blacks or indians out of canada. we have a history and we have every right to feel canadian as we obey and contribute to the economy and abide the law so f-off.

I was going to my place of work and close behind me was a young Indian lady. So, as any Canadian would have done, I held the door because I didn’t want it to slam in her face as she enters. She walked right through the door without even an acknowledgment, not even a “thank you.” It was one of the rudest things a person has ever done to me in years. \n\nNow, when I see an Indian person close by if I am entering any doors, I am conflicted. What’s the point of being kind/courteous if they can’t pay it forward?

been in germany since august 2017, done B1 language course, integration course, test life in germany, then done one 6 months certification in metal field nd then done technical vocational degree in metallurgy as industrial mechanic. In jan 2021 got the degree as industrial mechanic frm IHK. Applied for job everywhere. Got 238 rejections in my inbox, since 2021 till now always worked as lowest wage jobs. During the technical vocational degree faced the worst racism frm those so called technical teachers. And right now working in supermarkt on minimum wage just to survive. Canadians face racism and told to write letters to human rights. How does he get govt to step in and help. I've been a Canadian for 48 years and black for just as long as told pretty much to go f myself each time racism or hate crimes occur

Systematic racism is a part of the system. I am a civil servant scientist working in a French lab. Before joining my new position, I worked 6 months at KIT which is considered top 3 ranked university in Germany. The way I was treated was not right for me. I am a dutch citizen who worked in academia in different countries, including Japan, US. The only place I faced racism at academic level was Germany. The head of group allows him/herself to infer into your personal life just because they can fire you anytime they want. The only country which has 6 months of probation is Germany, nowhere else keeping you like a hostage to shape you as their slave and if you do not obey, you are fired. Sorry but Germans are the ones taling their country down big time. They gotta first how to not live in WW2. They feel yet as if they are a better race and others just modern slaves.

Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. Germany is currently too focused on other countries problems and failed on attending the needs of their citizens and the citizens who came to live here, including europeans, as myself. I truly believe that Germany is a beautiful country, München is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and has astonishing landscapes and vibrant nature. But...

Try London England, you’ll find it’s 3-4 times more expensive than Toronto. Or try living in Congo or Palestine, it’s a lot safer than Canada. \n\nSeeing fellow Canadians complain like babies when we have it so good compared to other places makes me EMBARRASSED. Life in Canada isn’t that bad! The cost of food is the same as England £4.50 for strawberries ($8.00), £3.00 ($6) for milk, and £5.50 ($9) for cheese but gas £2.90/L ($4.10/Litr) way more costly in England. It seems like it’s mostly Canadians who ONLY know Canada and immigrants who expected life to be magically easy and handed to them… ? ?‍♂️ I had to learn to be grateful living outside of Canada, the whole world is facing inflation right now! Europe and North America. But Canada isn’t as bad as many places. But then again, I’m not a quitter. The best way to survive is getting a good education and a stable and high in demand career. Nurse, doctor, teacher, lawyer, dentist, psychiatrist, etc etc. Then you will find you might complain a bit less ?

Canadian immigration is a joke. I earned a masters here from a reputed university, spent so much time and money, 6 years later I became a permanent resident. I was so grateful. Now, anyone with a sob story in the name of “persecution” can just come here and actually get government money for a good while to settle in. And now, we have entire flight crews just simply “claiming” asylum. The government has made everyone who took the right channels, faced so many hardships in the way are effing losers who could’ve just gotten in through the many bogus channels. i love this country, but it has gone to the dogs steadily since 2015.

I’m from the UK, where we face similar challenges along with other issues that Canada fortunately does not have. If housing, jobs, healthcare, and education are not adequately addressed, people can become hopeless and susceptible to manipulation by far right extremist groups. This can lead to terrible incidents like the ones we’ve witnessed in the UK this week. ?

I have some comments about some of the things in the video. Including Olivia Chow in the video when talking about housing affordability with local government policies I don't think is right to inlcude her as she only got elected last year and has to deal with all the decisions and issues from the past Toronto mayor. It's similar to blaming Biden for the economic issues of the US when a lot of the reasons for the downturn economy in the US during his first term was the impact of the economic policies that Trump put in place, it takes time. In terms of the carbon tax, I think its a valid criticism with the compounding issues canadians are facing, but also take into consideration that the provincial governments also have some play with this, as they have the ability to go for the standard carbon tax or implement a cap and trade. A lot of conservative governments like to complain about the federal government about this, but they are also to blame for some of the lack of affordability for political points. As well for the banking fees, we do have a smaller selection of banks, but there are some options that Canadians can have that do not include fees (Simplii, Tangerine). Everything else in the video I agree on, I also think personally that all political parties need a shake up in leadership.

The dark side highlighted in this video is not only true for Canada but other countries like USA, Australia, UK as well. If the public healthcare is broken then citizens can choose for private healthcare insurance just like in India,many employers cover this insurance, so that you don’t have to spend out of pocket. All these countries are facing a cost of living crisis. The message here should be to choose wisely if you want to immigrate abroad for the right reasons. Reverse migration to India from these countries is true, it’s everyone’s choice. I am watching this video from Canada and I have 4 words for you - “DO NOT COME HERE!!!” Everything that was mentioned in the video is absolutely true. Canada is facing many problems, unaffordable housing, broken healthcare systems, homeless people, drugs. I am always scared to walk in downtown at night when I’m returning from work. And the worst part is, you cannot even defend yourself here if a homeless person is attacking you. If you do that you will be prosecuted saying that why did you touch that homeless guy and it is a violation of human rights, which is stupid. So does that mean that we should just let a random homeless person kill us?? How does that make sense?? My friend who was having an asthma attack had to sit in the emergency room for 8 hours. If something would have happened, who would be responsible? And the list just goes on. And what does the Canadian prime minister do about that….? Let a guy be a girl and a girls become a guy? What does that even mean??? I have nothing against the LGBTQ people. That’s your life do whatever you want, I don’t care. But there are so many other issues going on in the country and the government is focusing on allowing people to change their genders !! \nAnd the worst part is that a portion of the tax we pay from our hard earned money goes to the homeless people. And what do they do? Buy drugs and start attacking random people. I really feel sorry for this country and the people of this country. \nI always respected my county, India but now I really feel that the sense of security, belongingness, our culture is amazing !!! \nIf anyone is planning to come to Canada for studies, please think again. I am a Canadian and I have seen the sharp decline of Canada over the past decade which makes me very sad. According to many 'experts' they paint a dire picture of the nations future as the rate of inflation spirals out of control and we are buried beneath a mountain of debt. On the ground level, homelessness is an epidemic that the powers that should not be seem to want to sweep under the rug, while they race bait and spout off about woke ideology. They are more worried about transgender rights and castrating children while with anyone with eyes to see are witnessing the very breakdown of their society around them, people are dying in the streets from fentanyl overdose. My wife volunteered at our old church which catored to the homeless and I have known many that are no longer with us, nobody wants to acknowledge it because they do not want to face the fact that they are fellow human beings. In the end no one is better than any one else, it is all vanity.?\nIt would seem like we are run by lunatics with severe cognitive dissonance by the fact that we have mass immigration while are own \npopulation is suffering, I admit that mental health and addictions are potent variables that constitute the crisis, I am not niave to those facts. I myself have had long term Sobriety. But it is odd that only a decade ago, homelessness /addiction were problems confined to major cities like Vancouver and Toronto, and now we have tent cities in almost every town with a population of more than 20 thousand people. It would seem like utter stupidity to keep pouring water into a bucket that is overflowing. Yeah I being Indian I have faced lot of problems from Indian land lord , they are pain. Again all of them are not same , as India is a wide nation with different sub culture in there. Some are really cool and some are the worst you may find. Again students should understand they are not a citizen that they can ask for offer right now Canadian gov is running stupid thanks to pm JT. Canada has been the down the road of high immigration in the past, erven in the face of housing shortages. This happened right after World War II. To deal with the shortage of rental housing stock then in the large cities, the government put demands on immigrants and refugees to settle in agricultural areas and small town Canada. But, it seems today that most immigrants just want to go to the already overcrowded cities, especially Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. Rural Canada is now facing manpower shortages, but has a fair amount of housing, as many small towns have actually shrunk in population over the years. and could use the people. Immigrants assimilate better in small towns.

Nope..because half of the time in a year your land is covered with ice..so how do you survive without food in winter? basically you guys sell your things and services to other countries and survive on that..being the second largest consumer in the world..we indians are adding values to your GDP from years..and the facilities you are shouting after the most, the free food, the free shelter, the free dentist provided by your country is earned by your country from other countries..but do we survive on your products and services? All immigrants must comply with Canadian laws. Failure to do so should face the consequences of deportation. There should be no excuses. Wow how many lives were lost and families scarred for life and this man has rights to keep fighting to stay in Canada. It is time Canada moved more central politically and demand the respect of every immigrant. Follow Australias lead. If you were not invited then live within the country' rules or leave. Too many arrivals are deally just scamming born Canadians of all cultures. Time to wake up Canada...

It's not this man's fault our justice system is broken. He's just a symptom. Broken down regulations and laissez-faire job qualifications and monitoring caused this accident, not malevolent actions by the driver. He served his time and has shown remorse for the accident. He has a right to appeal this judgement as does any permanent resident who faces deportation.

The standards of immigration in this country has dropped tremendously since Trudeau, this is a slap in the face to those immigrants who actually worked hard and earned the right to stay in this country. We need to kick out these people who feel entitled and contribute nothing and are just a drain on the system

I'd be careful about mentioning an increase in immigration as a source of a problem here without providing any evidence of how that's specifically harmful. \n\nYes, we have an influx in international students - often underinformed young people scouted by private companies in places like India who are gravely mislead on what to expect once arriving in Canada. International students specifically are facing tons of injustice and being used as cash cows by companies and our government, since international tuition is much higher than domestic tuition. \n\nBut right now, skilled immigrants are helping build our cities back up. It takes a lot of people to plan, design and build infrastructure, to repopulate failing systems (cough cough, healthcare), etc. We're in a recession and individual industries are struggling a lot right now - but not because of immigrant workers. In fact, they are picking up slack, taking jobs no one else wants to do, and keeping the gears of our society turning.

Correction: Vancouver, while facing extreme difficulties due to a lack of affordable high-density housing, is doing a LOT to try and fix this in comparison to other cities in the infrastructure sector. Just over the last couple years, we've had some pretty extreme zoning policy changes, we have a yearly rent increase cap (which backfires once tenants move out, but that's another story) and we're building new transit infrastructure which now, legally, requires only high-density housing build in the surrounding areas. \n\nThe population growth here has wildly exceeded the amount of housing growth in the last few decades. Not to mention the insufficient wages, high cost of living and a broken healthcare system. Our people are struggling but if you have to live in a city right now, I'd choose the greater Vancouver area. Down the road, I see us improving the most infrastructure-wise out of any Canadian city, which will hopefully benefit social sectors as well.

To all those people saying the Indians took your jobs. You’re full of crap. Tons of work in this country to do. You are just too lazy to look for the right one. As much as I dislike seeing some of them making a bad name for the rest of Indians. The ones I know are very well educated people who come here to work. I’ve never seen a homeless Indian or one walking downtown drugged out of their faces. Every crack head and homeless person I see in any city in this country is straight up white, including the ones in your video. Go figure. Also, what you feel now is what the natives felt when you white folks came over, only difference is that nobody is rapping or killing your kids and separating families. God bless you all.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly with his answer because the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are rightfully the sole property of the Palestinians and no one else, Isreali or other Arabs etc. has no right to determine where Palestinians may live.\n\nHowever, even even if I am in favor of both self-determination and autonomy for Palestinians, it doesn't mean I am a not a supporter of Isreal's right to exist thus, defend itself.\n\nIsreal has every right to both exist and defend itself against Hamas, Hezbolah, Al-Qeda or any other Arab terrorists organization or Arab state as well as especially Iran, that may wish or has declared its intent to wipe Isreal from the face of the world.\n\nAs for Arab states like Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States or any Muslim dominated state in the Mideast or northern Africa taking in refugees is concerned.\n\nThe short answer is that none of these states will take in refugees by the fact that these states failed to take in refugees from recent war zones like Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria or Libya in any great and significant numbers.\n\nRecent conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan saw the West come to the aid of these refugees before any Muslim led country.\n\nIf a Muslim country like Turkey took in refugees, it had to be paid by the West to take in refugees from Syria, Afghanistanand Iraq...in the past Lebanon and Jordan likewise have only taken in limited amounts of Palestinians and these refugees are still stuck in refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan eventhough it's been decades that they were forced to settle in these two countries.\n\nSo, don't worry asking if the Arab or Muslim led world takes in refugees because the short answer is they don't in significant numbers and if they do, they begrudgingly do so and in a marginalize fashion.

I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada.
