Immigration needs to be changed so that it costs Canadians nothing and actually benefits us. Currently immigration costs Canadians some where around $90 billion/yr in taxes and debt! Over the last 50 yrs immigration has racked up over $700 billion in debt that we have to pay back.

As an indian who aspires to go abroad i think the immigration policies need to be much more strict because in future these numbers are only going to increase rapidly and more of educated indians are going to avoid canada and the uneducated ones will just keep on spawning there under these immigration circumstances

Aren't we all illegal immigrants technically living on this earth. I don't remember having been given a special passport to fly into earth and being legal earth migrant. what's up with the rules if they are changing when you have al lot of money to change then towards your liking of having like you like it with a lot of money. if you look at the systems of they are all separated all over the earth from country to country it's all illegal and all legal from border to border then you run out of money by spending on rules on earth from border to border and someone makes it somehow allowed to happen or not if you have the money or not. Canadian government need to work with the Indian govt to curtain agents, and study abroad shops that sell the dream of a better life in Canada to students, and parents. I used to work in a vegetable processing plant where 90% of the staff were Indians. They were rude, self entitled, and treated the rest of us like trash. I remember when one of the Punjabs threw garbage in front of me and expected me to pick it up. These people feel they own this place and the rest of us to serve them. They need to GO! What the hell is wrong with these people? They are giving a bad name to all the law abiding Indians both in USA and Canada. Indians are usually the most law abiding people in any country they live in. Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

Of you invite immigrants to fill a demographic hole that has been forming for 30 years you need to provide incentives to companies to build anywhere but Toronto. The government has neglected this and so now tens or hundreds (500) thousands of migrants have landed in and around Toronto because that is where the jobs are. 70% student visas are issued to indians in Canada. This is wrong at any level and need to change at any cost. Background check in Canada is probably done by interns by searching your full name in a public data base and deemed pass if no results. Not acceptable at all. Need a tough law on immigration and entry to Canada ASAP!

All these foreign students should simply stop coming to Canada. The entire tertiary education system would collapse. These colleges and university have been gouging these foreign students for years.
