So, contrary to what others are commenting on here, he doesn’t want to take the Palestinians in for 2 actual reasons. 1. He doesn’t care about the Palestinians, but rather sees them as needed bodies because he thinks if all the Palestinians leave, Israel won’t allow them back. 2. He doesn’t want to take in Palestinians because of how many of them have extreme beliefs. Saudi Arabia doesn’t have that many terrorists, so why would he allow a population in that has a sizable percentage of terrorists?

If Hamas cared about their citizens, they’d have a plan for them and their safety once they initiated this war on Oct 7th. But it seems like Hamas’s only plan for them was to be disposable pawn martyrs caught in between them and Israeli forces. \n\nYou can’t torture, rape and kill 1,400 Israeli citizens/foreign nationals and take 200+ hostages back to Gaza during a depraved terrorist attack and then cry ceasefire when that country declares war and is winning. Especially when you’re still holding onto hostages and not honoring the terms of the first ceasefire by letting the Red Cross see the hostages. \n\nIf these other countries cared about the Palestinians, they’d take any refugees that wanted to leave. They clearly don’t want to do that for some reason. They’re watching from afar with their popcorn, saying “isn’t it terrible what the Israeli’s are doing.. but we won’t let them come here to escape, which would let the Israelis fight this war with Hamas, who initiated it, without civilians in between.” With no mention of how Hamas as put them in the middle and isn’t protecting them. Also no mention of any responsibility Hamas has for bring this war onto them by the large scale terrorist attack, that includes hundreds of civilian hostages of all ages.

All of this shenanigans for migrants from across the world especially Muslims ,make me feel sorry for one sector of Canadian society who are always forgotten, never given any mention or notice about their wellbeing, and those people are the NATIVE CANADIANS...they should be the ones to first & foremost have a say about what is happening in Canada afterall they are the original & first people of that land...but sadly they have been neglected for such a long time by the White political establishment...I wonder what they have to say about the state Canada is in right now....what they think about the Muslim immigrants whom their government is taking much a care of.

Canadians have voted for services they can’t afford, mis-management of government, not caring for their grandchildren or children’ future, leaving them with debts impossible to pay off. It’s amazing how Canada, but not just Canada, is intent on national suicide. Such a shame! Canada survives by selling raw materials to Asia. (China) Now that China’s manufacturing is all leaving for other countries, Canada’s income (GDP) will continue to shrink, until other countries develop enough to take over from China. However, even with that, most all countries in the world, except African ones and some middle eastern ones, have shrinking populations, leaving the world with less and less consumers. I believe it’s time to take the foot off the immigration pedal. The numbers are wayyyy too high and we are starting to have serious difficulties in integrating the numbers that are coming to our shores as witnessed by ghettoization and rising crime numbers in communities. The immigration numbers are having a disastrous effect on the housing market for both established Canadians and immigrants. The high numbers are also putting unprecedented pressure on our healthcare regime which was not designed to serve the increasing numbers. What I find extremely difficult to understand is our inability to take care of our First Nations population by providing them with more opportunities, better housing and clean drinking water, yet invite people to our land who have tenuous and transient loyalties to the nation. Ultimately we arent doing immigrants any favours by inviting them to a nation that’s finding it increasingly difficult to get its act together.

Take good care of yourself. God will heal you. Take time to rest also. What you are going through may not really be any sickness but stress. If you rest well all the headaches will disappear. May God be with you and see you through.

THERE ARE favored immigrants though, Ukrainians are not hurting living here. actually they are taking Canadians jobs, even in service positions, but for a lot of students that is how they live. but when employers are offered incentives to hire an immigrant, Ukrainian for example, they may be getting subsidized wages. What has happened in Canada is actually quite simple. Companies sell products and services. Companies require employees in order to sell those products and services. The difference between what the companies can those products and services for and what they pay the employees is profit. The owners of the companies want to maximize this profit, therefore want to pay employees as little as possible. Scarcity is labour is one of the driving factors behind what employees are paid. One way to decrease scarcity of labour is to bring in massive amounts of immigrants. That is exactly what Canada has been doing for decades. The owners of the companies take profits and invest it in real estate. This makes real estate unaffordable for the employees whose wages have been suppressed. Lower wages also means less money from taxes available for services like health care. We allowed our politicians to be bribed into allowing massive levels of immigration. Stagnant wage growth resulted in lowered consumptive capacity in the economy. This lead to stagnant economic activity and lowered investment into things that would make the Canadian economy more productive. What we have now is unaffordable housing. Lack of jobs. A failing health care system. An educational system where the bar was lowered to accommodate the lowest common denominator. Increased crime and substance abuse resulting from the subsequent hopelessness. Several families living in a single house. People working several low paying jobs just to try to get by. People with full-time jobs that are forced to choose between being homeless or starving to death. The immigrants that are still coming here are sleeping on the sidewalk in front of homeless shelters, or maybe scraping by delivering UberEats.

The fundamental problem in Canada is that is has too much government. Far too many bureaucrats attempting to do far too many things with the result that nothing is properly funded. Take healthcare: As you correctly point out we have far too few doctors and nurses and instead of trying to hire more the government has just added dental care and now wants to add pharmacare to the mix (each with an associated bureaucracy).

I live in the buildings behind you in the last scene on the waterfront, I love this area but me and my partner are seriously considering leaving, I can work from home and he can't find suitable work in his industry. Within the next year we plan to move in with his widowed mother in her home 1 hour north of the city where we can take care of her health issues and save money.
