I’m an immigrant myself living here in Canada for a quite a few years now and I totally agree that the amount of immigrants coming in needs to decrease drastically. It is hurting all of us but it will hurt Canadians even more not only financially but socially and culturally too.

Urban sprawl hurts the climate through land development. \nOur current level of destroying wetlands and grasslands for housing has way more long term impact on nature than if we had 10x the amount of tarsands oil production.

The reality is that sufficiently high rates of migration put stress on an entire nation, and recent immigrants are, ironically or otherwise, hurt first and foremost by this.

This hurts long-term, legal, settled immigrant families the most. Trudeau has brought in so many people so fast, a backlash against all immigrants has begun, we will be in race wars soon. The hard work and integration by previous generations are getting washed away.

This influx of people is unprecedented and is only going to hurt WeThePeople.

As a Canadian I’d like to say that our “Leader” and all his wisdom hasn’t only hurt you guys with this situation but he has been ruining our living conditions for nearly a decade now, we are trying to get rid of him and hopefully the new guy that’s embarrassing him will make things right. I wonder if both countries can make an arrangement after the next elections to create a secure border between Canada and America, I also agree that people coming from hot areas will definitely NOT be prepared for our Winters….I think only Russia and Nordic/Slavic countries can equal our Winters.

As a Canadian, I fully support working together with our American friends (paying our fair share of military and investing in our shared interest of being safe countries to be in), securing borders etc. to make our cities safe and secure for citizens and tourists. Voters get the government and policy they vote for. Let me tell you about my healthcare experience. My girlfriend got hurt in the head at her work and we went to hospital just to make sure if it is alright and nothing serious had happened. Sounds alright if you are in India. Here in Canada, little did we know, in the emergency ward there was only one doctor, treating on severity basis and it was taking more 6hrs just to wait there in the room to even meet the doctor. And people of Canada says it is normal waiting times. I swear to god this came from a guy who was sitting in front of us in the waiting room of emergency ward in a hospital patient’s robe ? with a dripper attached on his left hand! I truly missed Indian healthcare at that time….

As a fairly liberal Canadian, immigration is the only subject that makes me move to the center-right politically. We don't have the ressources to feed, house and care for 1.5 million new people every year, much less the Canadians already here. Justin Trudeau has been hurting the country with his open door migration policy because he's too scared to lose his brownie points from the far left. Any other politician is too scared to say anything negative and concrete on immigration because it's considered political suicide, but the tide is changing with Canadians. We don't want anymore would be asylum seekers or foreign students working and overstaying their visas because WE CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES ANYMORE. Yes, our birth rates are too low and we need some immigration to help close the population decline gap that will eventually come, but it can't be a free for all. We can barely afford rent, groceries, healthcare, etc. now and I fear it will only get worse in the coming years. At this point, as an early 30 something year old, I will never own a home or even be able to move without dishing out 60-80% of my income for rent. None of this is viable long term, we're reaching the point of criticality

It's time for Canada to deport these people they are the reason that the country is in a housing crisis, a major strain on our already strained health care, the reason Canadian students struggle to find employment, not to mention how difficult it has made it for some canadian university students to have access to the relevant classes because they fill up with foreign students. This ends up cost the Canadian students more money and time to complete their degree, it's not fair and as a parent of a Canadian university student I am beyond frustrated with the state ofbthis country because of the overwhelming amount of immigrants here, and to say that they are adding value to this country by filling jobs and growing the economy by putting the money they earn back into our economy is naive and false because the jobs they fill now require 8 employees to the same job 4 employees were able to handle before these immigrants came along and as for the money they earn, while that gets sent directly back to the country they originated from. Yeah I being Indian I have faced lot of problems from Indian land lord , they are pain. Again all of them are not same , as India is a wide nation with different sub culture in there. Some are really cool and some are the worst you may find. Again students should understand they are not a citizen that they can ask for offer right now Canadian gov is running stupid thanks to pm JT. Due to him over night relationship with India has spoiled. I feel lot of this started as a solution to solve the population crisis, and now immigration has ended up as Canada's addiction. People who run out of visa should leave, sure, but it's basic human instinct to try and stick to the better place. Also, if you don't bring value to the country, you will be the first victim of deportation. If you had a valuable skill or strong academic accolades you would not be kicked out, but because you don't, you are getting kicked out, which is more than fair when a country cannot house you without hurting its own population. Two sides to all coins. \nThat said, I see that while the anonymous hate towards immigrants was always there, this atmosphere has changed the humble and polite Canadians into angry ones in open. I think it is government's fault for bringing people here, so we should point our anger correctly. They could ve stopped it at any point in time, but they didn't, and now people who came here like this good life, and yes it is coming at the expense of Canadians. No please don't do any further polling. The reason why the opposition isn't talking about immigration #'s is because it will only hurt them, being up by 20 points is a comfortable position. Talking about reducing immigration might yield an additional bump of a couple of points on the upside OR it could finally give the liberals the ammunition that they have desperately been seeking to yield against them. The downside of revealing any intention of greatly reducing the immigration #'s could cost them dearly in the polls and give the liberals momentum.
