I wouldn’t move to the US and the medical is only the second reason my number one reason is your lack of freedom. For instance I have always had cats, at this moment I have three cats who are my pride and joy, two of them even go out for walks with me in a pet stroller and even came with me yesterday to the Scottish festival in my neighbourhood and the problem with moving to the US is Landlords can tell you that you have to get rid of your pets were here in Canada, in my part of Canada anyway it is going against your rights to tell you you can’t have your pet and there is no way in hell I would get rid of my cats they are my family and my only family so because of that I would not move to the United States

I know a lot of Canadians that moved to the US because:\n- lower cost of living \n- warmer weather\n- better business opportunities or access into industries such as athletics, music and film\n\nAs a Canadian female living in Toronto, this is why I wouldnt move to the US\n\n1. Safety \n\n2. Racism\n\n3. Women's reproductive rights\n\n4. Health care costs\n\n5. Natural disasters- too many areas with things like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. Even snow, there are areas in the states like Michigan and Minnesota that get worse snow than we do here in Toronto being situated along lake Ontario \n\n6. Lower costs for college/university in Canada

I spent a lot of time in the States as a child, mostly in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas. It was fun on the beach, going to Disneyland and it was nice staying with relatives and swimming in their pool everyday in the summer. However, I am Canadian and my heart belongs to Canada. Despite the fact that we as a nation do have our imperfections and problems, I am loyal to my country and want to contribute whatever I can to this place. Plus of course, there are the myriad aspects of life in the US mentioned in the video that I wouldn't be able to tolerate: lack of reproductive rights, attacks on the LGBTQ community, lack of safety/gun violence, no universal health care etc.

Hell yes. I'd move back in an instant. I used to live in the US with my American wife. Coming back to Canada we enjoyed nothing but expense, no rights, a lot of restrictions and now it's becoming like communist China. Love it or hate it America is the last place on earth that has real rights backed up by a real constitution. And you can enjoy any locale not just a few mile strip across the Canadian wet, frozen or scorching nation. People that think the US is bad are deluded and probably leftist, anti-Trumpers, think that the Canadian health care system is free and you have a choice.

I live 20 minutes from the US border, I'm single and doing the online dating thing. I Get lots of people who live in the states because I live so close to the border, but I immediately reject them. First I feel for these people. They want to live in the greatest country in the world. Because of the current president we are in a bad situation where he has made it hard for the citizens that where born here to make a living let alone any new immigrants.\nOur military needs to protect our borders as they do in other countries and any illegal immigrants needs to be deported back to their country and do it the right way it’s an act of terrorism to invade our country the economic strain that it puts on the US is enormous like a bleeding artery that you can’t get tied off. Why can’t they apply for the visas then apply for citizenship and take classes and the test like everyone immigrating to the US has to do? It’s really sad to see this happening. It’s not just the USA it’s all countries. You have to have visas if your not on vacation and sometimes if you are on vacation. Then to stay longer the visa has to be redone for a longer time. But they have to apply for citizenship and study and pass the tests. I have several friends that did it the correct way. I just want everyone to have a chance and do it right as well. We need them and entering illegally just isn’t okay.

I’m Puerto Rican, and don’t like or dislike Mexicans, don’t really see much in common other than Spain’s relation to both them and us. I use to think why Mexicans are crossing over, into the USA, but went to the books and found that technically Mexicans have more right to the land in the east of the US, and some even south than white anglo Americans, Why? I’ll be quick. Even though Mexico sold land to the US to make the US like Arizona California, Texas and such, the US stole further more land than they bought from Mexico. Further more Anglos took over natives lands and gave them loop concentrations. Mexicans are native to those lands also.So conquest and expansion from Anglos took their lands. So if you want to go to the books and be politically correct, Mexicans have more right to those lands than Anglos. Think of it like a native population going back to their lands they are same.

What did he think was gonna happen? You were already in the US, which comparatively speaking to Central America, is much safer by every metric. Why would you then leave the US to come to Canada? Of course you can’t seek asylum because you’re not a refugee. \n\nDon’t get me wrong, I believe that if people follow the legal procedures for the country they wish to reside in, they should at least have a chance at residency. However, this guy is an economic migrant, and if he wishes to live in Canada then you shouldn’t be filing for asylum, you need to apply for residency. But the fact that he was already undocumented in the US means that he risks deportation if he re-enters. The health of a country, or the health of an individual which are clearly linked, is dependent on our ability to see ourselves and each other, and make necessary changes to improve in the areas that we lack personally, and as communities in our beautiful country of Canada and other countries as well. There is going to be a huge amount of crazy stories all trying to distract us from the elections. From the border being bum rushed to ufo sightings and everything in between. People think that Canada is racism free utopia and its not. People always want to talk about the US. And yes the US has a long way to go,but at least it's vocal. My mom used to say let me know right off the bat that you don't like me,don't be sneaky with it. Canada,the UK and western Europe always try to say that racism is an American problem. Americans are just more vocal with it. And if anyone is inclined to Google,just look up the food inequality that Canada has with their northern neighbors,the people of Nunavut.

It breaks my heart to know that they are looking for a safer place to live, for a safer place for their children. But in the US they don’t understand how hard it is to make it here as an immigrant. So many US citizens themselves are homeless here. The US is ridiculously expensive, chances are that these immigrants will also end up on the street. The US is not okay right now.

It's time for the Americans to storm the Venezuela border and take over their country since they can't run it properly. We don't need to have a war with these other countries where these refugees are coming from, we just need to take their country from their leaders and make it ours and call it us territory and apply our laws and statutes and civil rights to that country. My brother was murdered in a small town called Kenora in Ontario Canada by a bunch of Caucasian guys. The police told us they were good guys from good families and they closed the case saying my brother pushed himself out of the window. His case and many others never made the news. Unlike in the U.S., we don’t have the media and institutional power to enforce civil rights. A couple of years ago they unearthed about 7,000 native kids from residential school properties. They didn’t offer any investigations into it. They brushed that back under the rug saying it was sad, the end.

There's a Home Depot across the street from where I work. Migrants go there hoping to get chosen by people who need a few men for work. In a month, it went from about 20 men to about a good 150 men just loitering in the parking lot. The police were called. Three SUV'S pulled in, and over the loud speaker telling them to leave the premises. As they were exiting, I told them, welcome to America. This is totally insane and must be stopped. If we don't get Trump back in office, it's gonna only get worse, exponentially. Republicans must keep hold on to the House of representatives, get the senate back and Trump back in office. I'm sorry but HELL NAW!!!! We have kids and ppl over here having major surgeries and can't even get help or assistance for the first time ever needing help like me and my family right now!. There's problem through out the world and other countries is suffering as well my families came here the right way from Asia in the early 70s' we worked hard and became US citizens it's hard in the US so many homeless peoples in every states doing this isn't going to help! You got to do it the right way don't cheat those who are actually trying to come here correctly!
