I am a legal American citizen and I do not get any free health care! I have paid into social security since I was 16. I have earned my social security over the past 45 years. I also have to pay my own legal fees and my taxes paid for my child to go to public school. I do not know of any other country that gives refugees or illegal aliens ANY money or services!

$15,000 on lawyers? You could've paid the costs to become an American citizen and had a shitload left over. Why not just get your American citizenship and be done with it?

how much taxes do they pay? I was in California and they don't have to get a license but they drive cars with no plates on them. In taxachusetts i know a guy who got in an accident with a truck that was driven by an illegal...he did not have a license and they let him go...the company that owned the truck paid. They get more benefits than us and they pay no taxes. I was unemployed once and had no health care. every place I applied refused me health care so at the end of the year I had to pay a penalty for each month I didn't have health care. What penalty do they pay? I am discriminated against for being a poor white american citizen. This country is a joke and I wish I was never born here.

Leaving the U.S. which is as free as Canada is not a reason to accept individuals based on a refugee status. Most countries are welcoming immigrants. But stop trying to jump the line ahead of others. Canada has always been great neighbors with our American counterparts. Why would immigrants think any differently ?\n\nIs it because lie-beral stations like CNN have painted Canada as a better country because we have a dope running the country who is lie-beral minded. This is why I might be leaving Canada soon to hopefully become an American because I would rather have a leader who cares about his country and it's citizens instead of someone who doesn't care about ours.

I feel bad for his innocent children to have to go through this. You want to live in another country, you need to follow the law like every else. You learn the language, get the same I.D. We all have to have , and be treated the same as if any American were to illegally cross boarders! What we have to go through just to have identification here should be no different for anyone else! When I go to a dr. Or dentist and an immigrant or a lazy able bodied parent gets everything done free and I’m struggling to pay with full ins.. I literally walk out so pissed off! These are straight facts!! He had fifteen years to make it right. Instead he took a shot doing it his way to reap the American benefits and the feel bad for me card!If they ever let him come back and he collected any kind of help in those last fifteen years, “if” , he should have to get proper I.D., citizenship, and pay back anything he was given! It’s only fair! He was able to save all that money tax free, hmmm must be nice! I don’t feel bad he had to spend it. That’s real life!I’m tired of watching my citizens no matter race or color, work hard paying taxes and giving their hard earned money away!!If we just let anyone walk right through our boarder than what’s the point of any American needing any I.D.??? Immigration has ALWAYS been hard but many people make life more difficult when they don't understand a country's laws and/or fail to follow those laws. I know a man who came to the USA with $50 and managed to work and send money to his wife and then one day he wrote to his wife to say he couldn't send any more money because he was buying a bakery. Then he sent for her and they raised two sons, worked very hard in his little business, sent his sons to a private university. They followed the law and all are successful now. I also know a man from Colombia who came to the USA legally and a U.S. businessman saw how diligently he worked and helped him start a business. The American dream works. More than 720,000 new citizens were sworn in recently (in 2016, if my memory is correct).

Why can't families sponser families or people? Like the Foriegn Exchange Student program? Had a kid selling books here tonight from Estonia, really. I had a mass interview today for preschool education at a new migrant facility. Bible belt Kentucky. I have no Fears like the leftovers claim. I have priorities. I'm a single mom with 6 dependants and 7 chronic illnesses and a bleeding ❤️ for all in need. American citizens should be given first priority. Get off welfare and donate it to an immigrant. If he would have spent time to get in legally than he would have been an American citizen already. So illegal immigrant = immigrant?\n\nMy wife is originally from El Salvador (became citizen before I even met her) and I've vacationed there, the gangs are in the bigger cities (San Salvador, San Miguel), the rest of El Salvador is safer than most places in the U.S. The reason why Salvadorians and other Central Americans leave is due to pride, being in the U.S or Canada is an accomplishment, it's a lot of things, it's bragging rights, it's a way to send money back to the family but what it's not is for safety reasons. So them claiming it's because they're scared is complete nonsense.

Its even harder for american citizens to gain duel citizenship. Its a detailed criteria to meet. You must know french and pass canadian history exam.

THATS WHY its best we learn to fix our people in a whole in our country before bringing in anymore foreigners who do not respect our nation. lets stop third world immigration and work on making our country great again. so we can stop all this crime in our neighborhoods. because it hinders our progress. once every race color ethnicity of people are acting right then we will have no prejudice based off color or even gender because everyone is giving everyone respect. but because CRIME IS HIGH in all foreign races, and we continue to disrespect eachother. nobody feels safe anymore. whether your light skinned white or black.

I feel for Jose, yet I wonder why he is not angry with his own government, with his own country for making him feel it was impossible for him to live and work in his own country. Why can he not go back there? How is that system lacking and what can be done to change it so that people don’t feel forced to leave. I find it odd that no one ever reports on these South American governments - what are they doing so wrong that their own citizens are refugees from their own country. Why can’t we stop blaming and find a solution to this problem? Why is it framed that it is the United States or Canada’s fault for upholding immigration laws, their own countries insist upon them. it’s odd.

I live in USA. I am a Latin American citizen and I have been followed and discriminated against, but I don't take it to heart. It is their problem not mine. I don't own any of it, it is their responsibility.

All people who do not assimilate must be deported. As well as just stop immigration of Muslims all together. We are at full war. The people who controlled our countries back in WW2 understood that the citizens were number one priority and stopped all immigration of any ethnic background like Germans and Japanese. \n\nBut not all citizens were protected like the Japanese Canadians Americans and so on. The governments back then were very strict and careful. And did they have as much deaths of terrorism? No they did not!\n\nIslamic ideology is one of the most sickest and most anti-freedom things you can find anywhere. And its not a religion of peace. The peaceful majority are irrelevant.

It's not that we, as American citizens, love war, it's just that there are a lot of benefits to being in the military and patriotism is EXTREMELY huge. I mean, we have flags everywhere.
