If he failed the asylum case then that's where it finishes. You either have substantive claims or not. He's probably a lovely guy, but has attempted to obtain asylum status under false pretences. People try it the world over. The US, Canada, Europe, Australia - but the world is waking up. Its a rort that needs to be dealt with expeditiously. They need to get this guy and his family back home safely.

That guy clearly said that Canada welcomes all immigrants. These people risked their lives to cross the border. I remember all the stories about people getting freezer burns just to escape from US but now they just ended up in the same predicament. That’s very sad.

This has been going on since the 1960's when U.S.Citizens avoiding the draft for the Vietnam War went north to Canada. U.S.Citizens have been turned away from Canada for having two misdemeanors from 20 , 25, 30 years ago. I suffered Racism from those who look at me like I'm going to do something wrong. I remember punching a guy in the face who harassed me in a supermarket. I didn't get arrested by security because the supermarkets rule was that they detain people who starts anything that includes hostile acts, etc.

Lol, the funniest part about most shoplifters is that they are usually white and the only reason they don't get caught is because no one is watching them or cares if they steal. One specific time some white guy walked so casually into the beverage aisle at Walmart, put 4 packages of 4 pk Redbull in his backpack, and walked away like nothing happened. Multiple takes of the test can yield different results, and as you take the test, you actually get better at not making mistakes. It actually forces you to make mistakes on the black faces. What, did he think he would be given a free ride? Does he actually think immigrating to a new country wasn't going to cost him anything? How many years did he live in the US? Refugee status for what? He's not fleeing any war or conflict, the only thing he's fleeing is deportation to his home country from the US because he crossed the border into the US and lived there ILLEGALLY, he's a fucking criminal... And yet, he STILL feels he's entitled to cross the border into Canada and thinks they'll welcome him with open arms...\n\nWhere do these people get the idea that they have the RIGHT to just enter whatever country they wish without having to go through the immigration process? These processes are there for a reason, we don't allow just anyone to immigrate here...\n\nImmigrating to the US is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... Immigrating to Canada is a PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT... \n\nThe fact that this guy and his family have entered 2 countries ILLEGALLY and stayed within its borders ILLEGALLY for all this time, and in both cases, REFUSED to learn the language, and when he was about to be deported back, he fled and kept hiding from immigration officers... That makes him and his family CRIMINALS, and rightfully so... They should be found immediately, arrested and subsequently deported back to the US to face whatever charges, and then deported back to his home country... Period...

growing up in canada, i felt left out in the blk community b/c i am a 5th generation blk cdn on mom's side and 3rd on my dad's - when other black ppl not canadian born met me - i tell them i'm cdn, but i always used to get the question - where are you really from - they were looking for me to say the islands - when i told them my paternal grandma was born in 1901 in canada - that's when the questions stopped. i've been told that b/c i wasn't from the islands, i had no culture in college, but a mbr of the black student society put him in his place i heard he got into a lot of trouble. i was asked what do we eat as in food as canadians what kind of music do we listen to - at our blk canadian weddings, the only carribean song played was hot hot hot by arrow - we played straight up r and b and motown. i hv been rejected by other blk men b/c i'm not west indian enough...it was hurtful. even with 'friends' they made of my cdn heritage but i used to think, why are you making fun of me knowing that my family and ancestors were in canada first - they were 1st generation - i live in the usa now and i'm with an african american man - he has never treated me as if i were different and he loves going w/me to canada. my parents told me it was jealousy on those ppl's parts - one guy i used to be friends with in college, when i went to his house, his mom was from the islands, when she met me - she said, 'you cdn ppl are loud' and that did it for me - i didn't date her son but when he met my parents, they never said any of that crap to him. in the usa, the african americans don't treat differently at all - my ex mom in law thought we were american but decided to live in canada - b/c she was surprised that blacks do live in canada. her other daughter in law's family were from the islands - but she gravitated more to my family and felt comfortable around them more than her family and this ex sis in law would brag about the islands this and that and she would make comments about my looks being skinny and such but it was jealousy - i didn't care much for her b/c she was very insecure. i felt once again, i was a young girl in college again - being around island ppl....i would love to meet drake and ask him did he feel left out and isolated because he wasn't from the islands - he makes me very proud being a blk canadian - his dad is african american and his mom is jewish. i still hv dealt w/racism not much with wht ppl, but with my own ppl - which is quite sad and on top of it-colorism, that also played a part from my family - being called pygmy, chocolate dip, nappy hair - it hurt but these so called relatives, they aren't all that anymore, they had hard lives as children...when ppl see something in you that is special and they don't have, that's when their ugliness shows -

This guy works hard; the manual labour he does isn't easy, and it's done in sub-zero weather (it can get down to -50 with windchill up near Edmonton). He's contributing to our economy and isn't a criminal; he's just trying to provide his family with a better life. For the same reasons my ancestors immigrated to Canada. Most of them didn't learn English for over 2 generations, but eventually we found our way and our culture became part of the broader Canadian culture. I hope the same happens for him and his family.

Speaking as a person who came to Canada and hopes to get a PR in the coming year: The view that Canada welcomes anyone can´t be further from the truth. If you are a skilled worker, you´ve gone to school and you are relatively young, getting a citizenship is very straightforward, but if you don´t, Canada won´t have you, and you know what? it´s OK: all countries have the right to determine their immigration policy and enforce it. Canada´s point system is very transparent, you can calculate your points by yourself online. Not here to judge that guy, but a little research might have saved him a lot of trouble.

People suffer discrimination all over the world for any reason and in their own countries of origin. Notice on the video the black guys test result showed he loved white people but the white people had unity with their own kind. The black community has a love hate relationship with light skin blacks who get good treatment at times and discriminated against in their own community most of the time. This is called colorism. I live in the USA.

it's not the religion.... it's the mac's convenience and the corner stores selling tropicana juice for 6 bucks a liter. It's the family oriented hiring policies and the rural area stores being bought and not offering fishing bait, ice or firewood but instead offering dollar store fishing lures for 20 bucks. it's the electronic stores that sell tape decks and old CD players. The stuff that really makes a bad impression is when a muslim family buys a Pizza Pizza or a subway and then changes the restaurant so that there is no where to be seated and the food is processed by someone who won't look me in the eye once and speaks a language that I can't understand to an employer about my sandwich and i will never know what the problem was. I feel like my spanish and native friends treat me the same as them. I feel like the scottish guy who hates me for not waking up at 5 in the morning is only mad because i'm not working as hard as him. Keep Islam in Islamic countries. If it doesn't tolerate our lifestyle then keep it elsewhere. I don't think the Niqab should be legal. If we can't see your face then how do you get a job? How do you walk into a bank? How do you get identified at the airport? And why should we make changes to our way of life to accommodate these guys? I don't care if you wear hijab but covering face all the time and refusing to take pictures for lisence and passport is not okay. also when the whole world has problem with your religion maybe there must actually be problem you have to fix and not act like you are the victims. we have right to be careful and no its not fair to you but this is what people who follow Islam faith and harm others get you. Islamic people out cry for their right but have to problem taking others away. for example wanting daycares to ban pork just because they can have porn. you should not get special treatment for you religion. I am Hindu/Buddhist and I do not ask people to stop eating beef or many other restrictions that apply to me. the pride of your religion is what's keeping you guys from sensible thinking. and no not all Muslims are the same but the percentage of people that share hatred for other religions is too great too ignore. if you want people to accept you then try becoming a part of the culture and not try to change it for your liking. show love to other faiths and athiests. stop trying to make exceptions for your religion.

At its worst, muslims cannot police their fellow muslims. There are factions from within, the threat is the extremist who feel entitled to spread, impose their culture instead of assimilating to an accomodating country. What about the feelings and sentiments of other immigrants from non muslim countries? I come from predominantly christian Philippines, and get along well with hindis, East Indians and Europeans of non muslim background. All to often it is hard to get along with muslims, they talk issues which you can only say they have that victim syndrome. No wonder it reminds me of college days that, no one jokes around these guys as they are quick to anger and they tend to band as a pack of wolves. And pretty much it was in the name of their religion that they come together. Its the victim syndrome I guess that keeps them from Fitting in the Normal.

This might a little of topic but many of the practices that Muslims do are very good health wise \n\n1) while making wudo (a special wash before prayer) when we rinse our nose with water to that cleans until the the bone at the top of our nose is so good that it actually finishes allergies like if you have pollen allergy because when you clean it is getting less sensitive and more stronger I know someone (I've met someone) that had an allergy with fur or something and they made wudo very often and in actually 2 years they had no allergies\n\n2) when we pray:\nThere was a young man who wasn't so practising so he didn't pray he spent his time working out and doing track and field during one of his runs he fell and fractured a bone when the went to the doctor (non Muslim doctor) he told the guy to do some actions that will help in recovering his bones and the acts that the doctors showed him were the actions we do in our prayer, the guy decided to do these actions but not by itself but in his prayer and this was giving to him by a person that wasn't even Muslim!\n\n3) when Muslims cover ourselves many guys don't hit on us because when we cover ourselves its a sign so show that we are not into these kinds of stuff \nIf you want to see proof search up walking in NYC for 10 hours by AreWeFamousNow\n\nSo next time you say that we are crazy doing this stupidity we are protecting ourselves and we are treating our body good health wise.
