Don’t blame the West. By your own account UAE, Australia, NZ are not technically western. I am sure getting a Visa to Japan, South Korea is equally tough. its because they are racist... imagine US, UK, etc grants no visa on their former enemies (like Japan) but demands for visa entry for their former colonies? you cant deny that these former imperialists sees former colonized countries as lint and does not contribute to their economy.... they stole billions of dollars in the past and at they could've grant visa free entry to their former colonies as a way of compensation to the damages that they've made in the past but they didnt.. and when war broke up, they'll ask from these former colonized countries for some soldier to be on the frontline for them because they were allies.. until now they still do some exploits to colonized counties in some other way like establishing manufacturing plant or some establishment hiring cheap labor from these countries, and when you want to visit to these counties they will automatically deny you.. On some point, China gives a better option. They will welcome you with open arms (although they will take advantage of you) but at least you can visit their country easily.

For Indians, there are 2 key reasons. I travel so much and live away, so I can say this- 1. The growing jealousy on India and the fact most western countries do not want Indians. China is doing it behind the back wherever they can. The second and equally important is the our behavior and arrogance as Indians when we travel and when we stay abroad. We really irritate and upset people around us.

Indians should stay and make the country great instead of running around like a headless chickens. Of course the corrupt governments of the day makes thing worse. Until they follow half of china's way of governance, India will lose out on everything China do. Im on green card in usa and genuinely i want to take my mom to other countries as a tourist but she got 6 times reject for US, one time canda and one time europe but i was able to make one trip with her to china. \nNot sure it just a skin color or anything else ?
