Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

If you want to be an entrepreneur and make things that change the world. then USA is better like for Engineers and Entrepreneur etc. In Canada is more for peoples who want take the benefits and get out of there after they have the Canada passport, bachelor degree and educate there childrens. Somebody with a brain will not continue to pay so much tax and huge cost of living and end up no saving and broke like in Africa. Also extreme weather, not enough sun etc. and no social skills.

You might want to do a series on everything that costs to buy a car in Canada. Everything from obtaining your drivers licence, to paying the fees for buying a new or used car, the taxes involved, the cost of insurance & also the cost of repairs. On top of that the rules will change from Province to Province but the costs are enough to make you want to take the bus or ride a bike.

I moved from the US to Canada 3 years ago. I lived in the US all of my life. You wait 8 or more hours in the emergency room in the US. I have a great job and I'm paid more in canada than the US for my exact job.I make 6 figures in canada. I also have a small business that brings in additional income. I have a great account also. Great opportunities in Canada. In US you pay taxes and its also alot. I was able to buy a home easily in Canada within 3 years. My phone plan is cheap and i have US line as well. 50 bucks a month. I moved to Edmonton AB. People who live in Toronto like to compare it as if its the rest of Canada. Compare Toronto to New York city.

You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Please, if you are going to make such a video, live in Canada, all over Canada for at least 30 years, then comment, please!

Please stop making Canada sound like 'the frozen north'. Any educated person knows that this is a 'Seasonal' country. Our summers reach over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times and we can actually sunburn while sun tanning on these days. We water-ski, swim, boat and sail, golf, gold-pan, hike, bicycle, Motorcycle, camp, picnic, fish, sky-dive, drive, shop, tap for Maple syrup and thoroughly enjoy our Springs and Summers like any other normal person and country. Our Autumn's are glorious as leaves turn crimson and gold, with picking all kinds of fresh fruit, canning jars of produce, carving pumpkins for Hallowe'en, making and tasting wines. Our Winters, loved, with some of the best ski resorts in the world; skating rinks--Our skaters won Gold in the Olympics and some of the best Hockey teams, who have also won Olympic Gold, come from Canada. We still toboggan, go on sleigh rides, ice swim, build snowmen and make the occasional Snow Angel, just for fun. We have learned to deal with winter snows--they're called Snowplows, which are abundant and whose operators are extremely efficient! AND, we have miles and miles and miles of uninhabited land--a rare treasure now-a-days! We are Canadian and we love it!!????

My question, and I know I'm gonna get eaten alive, is why so many Indians? What about people from the rest of the world? Canada feels like India these days. I would like to see more diversity. Also, Canada needs to do better about making sure there's more diversity in its numbers. Also, Canada needs to ensure colleges don't charge so much more. Afterall, we who eventually get PR will be paying taxes too (which is the rationale given for why local students pay less).

I have recently (and over the years) lived in many provinces. And even though I am from there (most recently 2021), Alberta has no business being anywhere near the top of the list. No one I know makes a paycheck like that and they all work 2-3 jobs to make less than what is reported. Education is low to terrible in most places outside a city, as is healthcare. The summers are either too cold or too hot and dry, and the winters are too cold, too snowy and too windy. \nIt also doesn't help most people are angry and racist. \n\nBut it was a fun interesting list nonetheless!

Greed on both sides . Students are also there to make quick money with huge salary. We have similar fake colleges in India.

How is our health care system going to handle an extra 500k people coming to Canada every year. We have a serious health care crisis happening here. I don't even have a doctor and I expect I will never have a family doctor ever again. I also expect that the Canadian Government will make sure every Immigrant who comes to Canada will have a family doctor or some special set up for them to make sure they can get their health taken care of. While the rest of us who were born in Canada will be left on the sides for at least 40 years as it's going to take at least 40 years of making sure we train and attract as many new doctors as we can. It is going to take a long time due to the Government of Canada let this issue go without doing anything about the degradation of our health care for the past 20 years. It will soon become normal for multiple people to die every week while waiting in emergency rooms for help due to wait times of 72 hours or more on a regular basis. Its been in the news several times this year already but soon it will be in the news every week.

Well I already left the Canada last year after having lived for 5 years. I am in my early 30s , south asian immigrant. I had a good paying job. I left because more so because of the social isolation and the pandemic measures. Plus I feel most Canadians may seem polite , but not friendly as in - extremely hard to make friends. Ethnic groups stick to themselves and don't mix. I found dating to be extremely hard and toxic. People have high individualistic mentality and don't open up.\n\nI am now in working in Mexico / Latin America and my mental health has greatly improved. I am able to socialize and women here aren't as stuck up as in Canada. Real world interactions are valued here unlike in Canada where it's all about the apps and social media. Also who doesn't like some good consistent sunshine. Overall , I am happy to have left Canada and am not coming back.

And can you also make a video on the healthcare system in canada currently, people are getting appointments of specialist doctor after 4-5 months of waiting . So is it happening across the country or in some areas only and whats the resolution towards it

First of all great content & kudos to the team for doing great research and coming out with this. (even minute details such as ppl going to gurudwara with aeroplanes being captured). \n\nOne more topic on which you can make a documentary or do some ground level research is spouse visa cases (where some marriages are fake or groom side bearing all expenses for the girl to study). Not only international students but also the local Canadian are suffering too with lack of jobs. There are hardly any houses available for the citizens, to make things worst these international students are overwhelming the situation. If anyone wants to move or visit montreal, you can very well make it without speaking french. The very vast majority of montreal speaks english as their second language. However, I still strongly recommend you learn at least a bit of french as the further you get from montreal, the less english speakers you will encounter (this can be as low as 30km away). Also, even if people do speak english as their second language, no one likes to get forced to adapt their speaking to someone who doesn't even try to make an effort to speak in the local language. So it is best if you learn at least the basics like: Hello -> Salut; Do you speak english? -> Parlez-vous anglais?; I don't speak french -> Je ne parle pas français;... And other basic sentences you would expect to say. More likely than not people will still switch to english if you know nothing in french, but usually people are more than happy if you try to speak their language and it makes for a more enjoyable experience all around.

If it is an cultural event, then you can make a point about the police and uni bieng insensetive. But I see no reason to wear one in a normal day. Whe you're in a different country, the responsibility is yours to know or find out what the laws of the land are. You cannot expect a whole nation of others to suddenly become educated about your religious practices and make way for you . If they do, that great, but it's not their responsibility. Also, having a weapon on you in an environment where others don't will put them at unease and also give you the advantage over them, in case of an altercation. How do they know if you are mentally sane or not and that you will not suddenly use it on them. Most Sikhs are wonderful and very caring people and I'm even sitting with one as I write this, but it's best we keep our religious practices to ourselves and not be in anyone's face with it, especially in a country where people are not so aware of other cultures. If he had to wear it for religious purposes, its his responsibility to have informed the university( which he may have) , but also to insist that they inform everyone else and the police of it, so as to not raise any tensions.

Your video just popped up and I was drawn to watch it. I have been in Sydney for 7 years. Same pathway in - a student visa, but I got PR through my studies soon after my graduation and now a citizen. Yes, I agree that Australian permanent residency is tough, but I also realise that not equipping yourself with the right information creates a hurdle for many people. If PR is the goal, the SOL and every other related information leading from that list should be your manual. Let that information guide your decisions. However, I concur that Australia's stance on immigration is confusing - harping on about skilled shortages and wanting to attract the right people, but also keeping them in limbo for ages. It makes for an unsustainable system. Good luck to you in Canada. May your wishes match your expectations.

Interesting points. I have friends that have moved out to Canada and they now complain about it for different reasons some of witch what you've mentioned as drawbacks for Australia. Property in Canada is expensive, people work longer hours for less money and the cold weather most of the year (not to mention black ice in winter). Some people have also mentioned facing racism in Canada. Also cities over there are boring/not much to do (that's what I've been told). The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Also, you seem to have lived in one of the most boring and isolated cities in Australia. There's a reason why Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are more populated than Perth and make the most liveable cities top list every year.

So true. We are so heavily taxed here in Canada, especially Quebec. The government has so much money in the bank that they kept overdoing those street roads, highway and even bike path again and again. They are wasting our money more than ever. And more than ever, there' s also a lot of homeless people on the street , because they'd use that kind of excuses not to give them their unemployment insurance benefits after loosing their job , but would force them to get welfare assistance instead. where the money is barely enough to pay for their monthly groceries and that`d leave them to make a choice between their rents or to go hungry.

I can definitely relate to all of these living in Canada my whole life and working.\n\nCar accident - was recommend by the insurance to visit the emergency room. waited for over 5 hours, 1:30 in the morning I just walked out I had to work the next day.\nWork - construction designer, basically working regularly 6 to 7 days a week about 10 hours a day behind the a computer. Doing my own work & managing our other designers, and it's not slowing down.\nPay - only making like 25 dollars an hour. and I don't just design, I also help manage the construction, list the projects (welding fabrication), order the materials, as wells as doing a lot of paper work. \nBills - I'm living in the cheapest place in the entire city with my fian and sharing a car at the moment, so not to bad. But obviously if we want to buy a house or a condo I'd be looking at well over 2000 dollars a month split between our two incomes.\nGas - prices are high, carbon taxing.\nHomeless people everywhere you look, can't really blame them TBH.\nShootings and police raids right out side my apartment, literally drove through a crime scene one morning. Yet I'm not allow to own a gun for self defense.\nThree months of summer, winter storms, but I love skating and snow boarding so that's ok with me.\nWeed's legal but along with alcohol, both heavily taxed.

True, lived there for 4 years. Canada is a well made lie to make someone else rich. I even met a rich immigrant who basically became rich because I'm sure he was doing money laundry. Also, Canadian politeness is a fake way to uncover how they actually don't care about another person; they are not nice people . Being there also made me think about this whole immigration system, it felt like a neo-slave trade, because immigration is such a gray area, and we basically have no rights to anything whatsoever, being open to be easily exploited. Not to mention psychological problems, like the Ulyssses Syndrome, that nobody talks about.

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

As a Quebecer, thank you for putting our Belle Province in first. When I clicked play, I was afraid we'd get bashed immediately and ranked tenth. I agree with most of your points, especially relating to the food, history and culture, and the natural beauty of our rural regions (Abitibi-Témiscamingue, my father's home region comes to my mind). \n\nThe only thing is, enough people are having problems with housing in Montreal, and home prices on the island have become unaffordable. This is a factor that contributes to urban sprawl, as a lot of young couples will decide to move to the North or South shores and buy a nice home for a lower price. Also, we haven't invested nearly enough money in public transit over the past few decades, leaving a lot of cities and areas undeserved. At least the REM might help fix some of that!\n\n\nBut thank you for making this video! I also have a lot of respect for the other Canadian provinces and have appreciated what I've seen in Ontario, BC and Alberta. You just described every western country. If you want to escape mediocrity your goal should be multiple sources of income. A job is a good start, but jobs also keep you dependant. Work hard, save a lot & invest a part of that saving in something to (eventually) make passive income.

Well said Mate. I'm Nigerian studying in Melbourne and you are very on point with your submissions. Australia is notoriously gaining a reputation of being a country of temporary immigrants. I dont see why I should give my best years to a country treating you as an option when canada is making you a priority. \n\nWould you have stayed on if you got a Job in your field that also chose to sponsor your PR? Would the cold in cananda make you reconsider your decisions? That's a racket I dont seem to understand. So much emphasis on skills and job shortages, yet many skilled graduates from their universities are being denied jobs based on their Residency status. \n\nI.met a Ghanain PHD student in my Uni who came from Canada, he said wages are higher here hence his reason for coming. \n\nLike you said , its a personal journey for everyone.\n\nSomehow, I don't blame them. They never promised PR but they should not also give impression that we are coveted.\n\nI still dont regret coming here though, it adds to my rich life experience. You both make valid points about Canada. I am 2nd generation Canadian. I do feel like its expensive here and Even I have a hard time landing a job. (Recently got laid off from my career job, they said I didn't have enough experience to work there). My friends who aren't single and live with their partner, have an easier time living here compared to people who are single & living by themselves. \n\nNight life is boring here. However, daytime life specially in the summer is better. I feel like Canada is more for an outdoor person. Depending where you live, there are beaches, mountains, trails, & lakes to explore. Some parts of Canada even look tropical! We have hot springs here as well!\n\nFor the leisure & work life balance, I feel like that depends on the person. I used to work 2 jobs (not because I was bored or needed the money at the time), I just wanted to save more money & help my friend out with his business. I felt like I had good balance of work & leisure. I hanged out with my friends on Friday & Saturdays then I had my 'me' days on Sundays.\n\nIf you are going to move here, do your research, also I don't think people consider their countries dollar into the equation, what I mean is, if you want to convert your money to Canadian... you might have less money then you have. Example, at this moment, 1 Mexican Peso is 0.066 Canadian dollars, therefor people coming from Mexico might have a hard time afford things in Canada compared to a person who is moving from USA. The Ghanaian girl is very cleaver, she understands the consequences of painting her country bad to foreigners so will always speak good about her country even though in her heart, she she may never go back to Ghana, she will not say such on video because she knows Canadian immigration might also just be watching this video. \nShe also make sure her country is respected by saying she is going back to help build it, in turn she gets respect. \nThe Nigerians on the other hand paint their country so bad, which then creates a horrible picture in most foreigners mind and support the western stereotype of the pitiful, helpless Africans, poor, dirty, starving, war-torn, uncivilised people, running away from corrupt politicians for the west to save them. \nThis is why Africa is not respected because of what her children say about her.

I've thought about moving to Canada from the US, at least for warmer months of the year, but decided against it for some of the reasons you list and one you didn't list. The amount owed in taxes and cold, dreary Winters, while prices are still pretty high for necessities all makes me think I'm better off just staying where I am. Also I learned recently that you have this thing called Self ID, where any man can decide he's a woman and just fill out a form and pay a fee, then has access to all women's spaces, programs, etc. That sealed the deal. I like some liberal things about Canada, but the country is just too far into the extreme left for me. Good luck to all of you up there though. I hope the coming Winter is a mild one.

I listened to your chat. I did not appreciate some of your reasons for why people leave Canada. First of all life is what you make it. There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. Appreciate what you have or if you are so unhappy, use the passport that you said is so powerful.

Canada business system prefers the big franchises businesses that have millions of dollars. If you have a small shop or restaurant get beaten by the big corporations that has franchises. the food costs are high and when selling u just cant sell for a better profit that can actually make you money. The Chinese and Indians knows how to sell little many items at a low cost just to be on a very tinny profitable way to keep on going. The Multi big paying makes money in Canada not the small business immigrants come and create. Those business don't built wealth because the big corporations are pushed by the Gov more in creating jobs and paying the big corporate taxes that in turn the taxes help support the social programs for those that cant work and also providing the basic needs to those that needs it through the taxes paid. In many African states many of the individual business that strife and create wealth because there isn't too much huge corporations that competes with this small business like the first world nations. In SA for example we have seen an explosion of many migrants going there creating small business and striving better than they will be in Canada. The taxes are high in Canada that's true u cant be rich sorry u will work until you lose your hair f not your hair turns white in a very short time due to too much stress and worries. Canada is good for social programs it takes care off those that don't' work if you work forget about getting rich but supporting those that don't work through the allocated taxes. Canada and the first world nations supports Big corporation and Franchising not really a fan of small business even when they are here they just don't create huge profits to think they will make it. In fact when the economy falls those shops easily shut down entirely and when they do reopen they barely make profits. I have seen Nigerian, Ghanaian small shops with Ethiopian and Jamaican business.

Great topic for Conversation. Please note, if you are coming to Ontario, Canada as a refugee, you can stay at a hotel for free until you get an affordable place to live, withing 6 months to 3 years. Also, if you are a resident of Quebec and is working in Ontario, please be prepared to pay additional tax on your pay stub and after you have filed your income tax. My advise Budget, Budget, Budget and live within your means. They are ways you can make and have money.

No wonder my uncle hardly sends me money... lol... I love CA but never been there. I have thought about this move to CA but here in Nigeria I have about 5 years career growth in HR and I am currently a team lead and by next year or before the end of this year my promotion to supervisor is very certain plus I work remotely and pay not bad atall but can get better lol... I live also in my folks house cause they leave somewhere else in another state and not staying in that house makes it an empty building... leaving all those behind to start over again in CA makes me feel bad...
