Why would you not learn English while being in the US for fifteen years? And then cross the border illegally and still not speak English. When the country you are trying to get into legally speaks English, then you had better learn English. After fifteen years in the States, he still doesn't speak English. That is a very stupid move. Why do I get the feeling that we'll be seeing a similar scene, perhaps even just a few years from now, but the one in my head involves a massive number of Americans attempting to flee AMERICA!! I imagine that should that happen, they'd do their very best to keep us IN! There's only two options for the explanation as to why this is being done to our country: 1) our government is being run by literally, the most incompetent idiots that we've ever had the misfortune of seeing in positions of power, or 2) the collapse of our country and currency is being orchestrated, and is very much on purpose. Of course, if you're successful elsewhere, why discard it to move to the West? Otherwise, this guy isn't saying wnything that's not alreeady known! In developing countries, you don't get security, good publi education, utilities 24/7, a working government, no social safety net (aka welfare), etc and you're absolutely on your own. You can't discuss any one thing in isolation. The difference is day and night. Also, time is money and everyone has to be accountable and responsible with both. As an employer. would he appreciate his employees getting paid to waste either and get paid for it? A reason developimg countries aren't doing well is because they fail to understand this, hence the waste of time and everything running late and not as quality. If it was great, why are the developing countries' economies so bad. As an immigrant myself, I know, understand, and appreciate this and think until developing countries appreciates this, they will continue to struggle.

I think it’s funny when Africans come to the west and complain about taxes. Taxes are why the country runs and the institutions work . In Nigeria , healthcare is deplorable because of a lot of factors like corruption even from the average Nigerian.

Age is an important factor while considering immigration. For folks less than 30, Canada will offer you a great opportunity if you are focus and knows how to develop your skills or career. For Folks that have worked the better part of their lives in their home country, say from age 40, DO NOT sell all you have worked for back home and bring the money to Canada, the system here is designed to swallow all that money in a short time. For these group of people do not immigrate because you want a better life for your children, but your primary focus will be what can I do in a short possible time that can earn you money to survive this economy. Housing is the most important factor and do a lot of research on where to settle that will fit your income and provide better job. Also make sure you are re-trainable. Be prepared and that includes all members of your family. Wife and husband and all their adult children must be ready to hit the ground running and find whatever job within a short possible time. Paying bills become a less burden if all members of the family are contributing their own share. It is not like back home where the man is the brad winner and takes care of others responsibilities.

How about supporting South American countries with the issues these people are clearly running from.

This may be accurate from presentation part, but see the actual reality, if canada is that much attractive for skilled immigrants, it should be world leader in technology or manufacturing but it is not as life is very harsh here. For most professional except IT your education is not valid or you have to go through very length process of validating your education and getting in main stream to get the job some time it takes years of continuous job like effort. Salary structure is garbage compared to USA. It is impossible to find an affordable house or apartment which you can rent, forget about buying.. Tax system is upto moon. Healthcare is broken and on top of that Black money is dumped from all over the world in real estate. Canadian (Albertan here) - yes, i don't think i'd move to the States unless it was reasonably close (maybe Montana) with fewer people - i'd like to identify as a Hermit :). I motorcycle and have travelled majority of the States, from coast to coast, and i really do like the country side and scenery, and history, that you run through. I do a 4000-6000 mile tripe every year or two - did Tennessee last year, and Colorado this summer. A lot of absolutely amazing country really, and yes some really great people as well. Have run into some real odd people as well and some places i wanted to get out of pretty quick. I do like the fact the US hasn't bought into this woke agenda and politically correctness - it's absolutely nuts up here. I like the gun laws in the States, too bad we're so screwed over that in Canada. Gotta love Trump - may be a bit of a bozo but hey - the guy lays it out and owns his shit, every other polititician plays the blame game and does everything politically correct... End of day, i'd prefer to stay in Canada, either Alberta or British Columbia.

It is illegal for teachers in government funded schools to promote religion. Wearing religious garb is promoting religion. The problem is with Burke has not hijabs. However male teachers can't wear baseball caps either. Then when you spend that money they take another 12% in sales and goods tax.\n\nCanada is better than a lot of places but it's gotten a whole lot worse since the pandemic. 8:15 there’s a reason for this. It’s a melting pot in America. Bringing all these different cultures together… but if too many from one country show up, they’ll make a community too large that they don’t need to melt with the population. There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! There are a ton of shows that indirectly show this phenomena. Fresh Off the Boat. The Sopranos. Even Brooklyn 99. We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. No one is asking that immigrants abandon their cultural ties, but if you come to America, there are things that people need to change and accept if they’re going to live here.

This explains so much about why Canada has become a total dumpster fire the last decade. They built a society that cant reproduce and then imported other people without western values and now run their country by dictatorship ending fundamental rights of their citizenry. All I can say as a Canadian is why would anyone want to move to the USA.The more I learn the more I love where I live the USA is a hot mess and watching the kind of people that you elect is mind boggling . The problem with Canadas economy is that the canadian government is 10000 percent dependant on running its economy using the IMPORTED money of so called immgrants from Asia and Middle east into Rear Estating, permanently creating hyper inflation in housing prices and ensuring the banking ponzi scheme does not collapse, as their money in real estate bails out Canadians and banks, via higher and higher and higher home prices. I lived in Canada from 1983 to 2016 after I left the US Air Force in '83. I was born in the SF Bay area, and grew up there in the Hippie peace love/Viet Nam era in the 60's and 70's. I now live in Seattle. As we have travelled to San Fran, New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Vancouver (Canada) and New York in the last 6 months, I kinda have a pretty good idea how it was on both sides of the border way back then, as well as right now. We have 2 rental homes, and I STILL have to work until I'm 70 to retire without worrying about losing it all because of the the high cost of health care. Your observation of race/political/religion relations are naive at best, you need to travel the country first hand to see it. Canada has it's far share of right wing crazies as well. They're mostly not armed, and most fights are 5 minute shouting matches. I know this because I work on construction sites. Canada doesn't have commercials for pharma or ambulance chasers. Because big pharma is kept in check, and with a population slightly smaller than California, frivolous lawsuits would clog the courts. If the PM killed some one on the corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto, he'd go to jail. You can get an abortion in Canada. There's a fraction of the Fentanyl crisis happening in Canada, and they have waaayy less homeless in the street. Canada has 2 weeks paid vacation AND paid holidays. The tax rate is higher in Canada, but many of the benefits make up the difference. It's cheaper to buy a house in Seattle than Vancouver. You can get a 30 year mortgage in Washington as well, instead of 5 or 10 years. Good and services tend to be cheaper and more plentiful Stateside. Mail service runs on weekends, it hasn't done that in Canada since the 80's. As it stands, I'm in Seattle right now because it isn't the typical US city by far. But I'm thinking when it comes to retiring, I'm putting Canada on the list. Being a dual citizen also makes me eligible for the other Commonwealth (universal health care) countries like Australia.
