America has mad shootings daily, they are famously the dumbest country on the planet. Democracy is important, but the USA is falling away from this. Two political parties is dangerous too. Need way more options. The facts that a majority of Americans voted in a celebrity billionaire racist loser makes me think they are even dumber than they are famous for. Climate incompetent. The number one problem I have with the states is the education system or lack of it. The public education system is awful. I’d rather live in about 50 other countries first. USA sucks ! Most Canadians think you are a country of morons. Which celebrity racist will you vote in next?

I would not consider moving to the states for any reason, but my reason at this point is that I’m terminally ill and disabled and I can’t even get travel insurance to be able to visit my family there. My mother’s family are all Americans. I had a lot of fun visiting them in my late teens, back in the early 90’s but now I wouldn’t even drive across the border to go shopping. Well, I do go across the border to Alaska, because that’s just an hour away, but Alaska is very different from the continental United States. And I only go to Skagway for the afternoon to get fish and chips. I welcome Americans to Canada with open arms, but I have zero desire to ever live or visit there. One at a time, on my terms, in my country, Americans are great, but your nation is falling apart at the seams. I don’t feel safe there at all.

Healthcare in Canada is falling apart, our prime minister is trying to turn us into a dictatorship, cost of living has gone extreme especially buying a house.......Canada is not Canada at the moment, I would wait before moving here yet lol. I would not go to the states however I've considered other places.

I've been to 15 countries and out of all the hotels and stuff I've stayed in I've left things laying around like some money, wedding ring and never had a problem even in very poor countries.\n\n Except in one country where I left my wedding ring laying on the nightstand by the bed like I always do all over the world, and guess which country I had my wedding ring stolen out of all of them? It was in Canada where a maid came in and stole my fucking wedding ring. So now I don't have my wedding ring that I' had for 10 years because I made the mistake of going to Canada to see the Niagara falls.\n\n This was not in a fleabag hotel either it was the Hilton which was a very nice but overpriced place with no parking. I have no desire to ever go back to Canada again. If you do go to Canada hide your jewelry because the maids there will steal your stuff. Seriously I've been in Cuba, Dominican Republic and Jamaica and they respected my property and didn't steal it. Canada they will steal your jewelry. \n\nThe only good thing about Canada is the weed stores. That's it I found nothing else, no other redeeming qualities of that godforsaken place. I lived in phoenix for a year, and here's my thoughts: \n 1) Health care aside, the waitlists are shorter in Canada, no matter what the que is for. 2) Despite falling in love while stateside, it still wasn't enough to convince me to stay. 3) I LOVED playing gunslinger and discovered I'm an eagle eye shooter with a handgun, however... I like living where I feel safe, and knowing how many nut jobs own guns down your way, I feel safer being back at home. \n 4) Ketchup chips. 5) Having the ability to discuss politics without someone landing in jail or in the ER, is a definite plus!! I don't like people who bring guns to a debate. 6) A plus for the Americans - Baby Ruth and especially PayDay bars!! 7) A negative for America - Grits! And Ron DeSantis! And Screaming Maggy Greene! And the whole bipartisan system... Confrontational racism. Oh, and Santa Claus IS Canadian and we're keeping him!\n Short answer is a resounding NO. Nope! Not. Forget it!! Nada!

Canadians who say that they'd never move to the USA fall into these groups:\n\nA) Ignorant: People who get their news about the USA from the CBC or any of the other MSM FAKE NEWS outlets.\n\nB) Leftists/Liberals: People who would only ever move to Leftist/Liberal havens, such as New York, California or Washington; and they're aware of how those states are extremely dangerous, with violent crime on the rise, extremely high taxes and fascist governments that make Trudeau look good.\n\nC) The Elderly: Unfortunately, most elderly people in Canada are on a fixed income; and the meager healthcare they're allowed to receive is still far better than anything they can afford in the USA.\n\nI'd consider moving to a number of states in the USA. It's a great country... great people (even many DemoKKKrat voters aren't as terrible as the people they elect).

The only reason I've ever heard of Canadians moving to the U.S. were job opportunities, or falling in love with and marrying an American.

I'm actually planning to move to the US in a couple years. Main reason is to escape the weather. Also, the mac&cheese in the US is 100 times better.... can't really find any other advantages.\nI haven't picked a city yet but I'm leaning towards Nashville or a town close by in Tenessee; not too hot in summer, no snow almost ever, Nashville has an NHL team, the people in Nashville are great and the roads aren't falling appart.\n\nI'll just need to find a way to Iimport Poutine and i'll be golden.

I live in canada and am starting my final year of high-school in the fall. I have a lot of friends my age, none of us are planning to stay. All of us are going to the States or Europe. We're not leaving because we don't like Canada, we're being forced out because its too expensive to survive. The last two years have been a slow realization that the options for people my age are A) live on the support of your parents for the rest of your foreseeable life, B) become homeless, or C) leave.\n\nIts especially painful because a lot of people here came from immigrant families who worked hard to come here for a better life for their kids, just to have their kids leave for elsewhere or even return to their country of origin.

In the West you sometimes have to wait for days before you get an appointment with a doctor.\nEven transport is more easily available in India. You are not dependant on other people to take you here and there.

I’d add complacency as another point. I guess that falls under the rules point. Canada always seems to not strive to be anything, as long as we have enough, everyone doesn’t seem to care. Low productivity, extremely regulated business laws, high taxes for relatively poor services and extremely misaligned immigration numbers are seriously hampering progress and economic growth for the individual. The government loves to brag that the economy is growing, but per capita income hasn’t moved or is shrinking. They self sabotage every way they can, especially with funding the green transition and by slapping everyone with carbon taxes, that are only going to keep on increasing without any actual proven emissions reductions

Why people from a particular country and a from a special geo location always falls as victims of fraud?

I visited Canada about ten years ago, (Toronto, and Niagara Falls) and I didn't see any signs of racism, AT ALL! As a matter of fact, everyone we encountered was very friendly, overly friendly when they knew we were from the States, it was quiet, didn't even hear police sirens not once while there, it was peaceful and quiet, and the city pretty much shut down after ten, maybe this was only there, I don't know.

I am white and I faced a ton of racism growing up from the indigenous community in my home town. Did I call them all racists? No, what I, and many other Canadians did and still do is make the effort to learn about these other cultures rather than playing the victim and then slandering the good, hard working, tolerant people of Canada. If she has so many problems with racism in Canada, well as our lovely cousins to the south say, leave. After reading more of these comments I now realize my words would fall on deaf ears, so many victims here. I represent a large group of people who do not judge any by the color of their skin, but rather by the content of their character. Hilarious. Education? LOL. I was born, lived and worked in 5 provinces and can safely say the education is far from world class. Geographically Canada is amazing beyond that, we fall below many many nations in many areas and oh, I've lived in 3 other countries. Most of our problems are directly due to the federal government.
