There are about 2 million estimated Americans living in Mexico currently. They may be forced out too in response. My husband and I are engineers from the US and Mexico and have lived in Germany for 15 years. Both speak fluent German and have raised three kids here. Yes, many people are racist. But if you learn the language well it’s not that hard to integrate and then things get much better. Germans can be the best friends you’ve ever had, much better than superficial Americans, but it can be hard to break through the shell. We have always loved it here. But to be honest with the steadily declining economy, massive scarcity in housing, and no salary increases in years, we are considering leaving as well. In Canada it would have been free of cost. What they did teach me at the alcohol rehab center worked and I had quit drinking in 1990. But after in the early 2000's I started to drink again and after getting blood poison in 2003 I finally gave it up for good and now I have been sober for 21 years. I have cousins who are illegal immigrants, I’ve been trying to sponsor my wife to come here legally and it has been the most dreadful process I’ve ever been through. Meanwhile these guys are here already receiving food stamps and housing. I make 220k a year. I pay my fair share in taxes and don’t need any government assistance. Places that the CIA and American tax dollars destroyed.
