If people rush a border entry point no matter where the crossing, they must be met with resistance and/or force. Border patrol shouldn't have cruelty and inhumanity as a policy, like the sick Trump regime, but should exert force under proper circumstances

Why they are crossing border
2023-03-16 0
How exactly is it illegal if the border guards let you through the gate ? It's not like there's a fence, you can cross anywhere but they went through the border guards ?

TRUDEAU IS RIGHT TO WANT TO REMOVE THAT BORDER CROSSING. HE SHOULD ALSO TELL HIS BORDER AGENTS TO SEND THESE IMMIGRANTS BACK TO THEIR HOME COUNTRIES.

I don't understand why military is not being used to defend counrtys borders. Try to cross illegally shots fired... it will slow the flow.

You Americans had better open your eyes and wake upBiden gives them money and phones Texas sends illegal immigrants to NYC mayor gives them more money and a bus tickets to Canadian border Turdno welcomes them to Canada gives rhem more money then illegals head to border crossing in Vermont Biden welcomes them in gives them more money and now they are back in the USA with pockets full of money from Canadian and American taxpayers and never lifted a finger to earn a dime plus are registered in both countries

I have witnessed 1st hand people crossing our Canadian border on the coast and they just wait until the RCMP bring a Limo to pick them up. I welcome anyone who goes through the process of legally immigrating. Our Ukrainian friends, Afghan's who were left behind or Syrian's. We are countries of immigration, but to just allow them to crash through is wrong.

Canada: It is illegal to cross the border here doncha know. Welcome to beautiful Canada.
2023-03-14 0
Hey, have you been to the northern border in New York???\nThis is the ‘manned’ border crossing.\nThe unmanned crossing areas have crossings, too.\nTrudeau just talks, just like Biden.\nWait until spring when the snow melts,

The people crossing into Canada illegally aren't refugee's. They stopped being refugee's when they came into the USA because they were then safe. They are picking and choosing with Canada. Ship them all back across the border to their own countries. They want to come to the USA then they can do it legally like the millions of others that have come before them.

What happens after they cross the border and get arrested? Do they get asylum?

I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

I have compassion for these people fleeing hardship and brutal conditions in their countries, but Canada is a nation of laws and borders and if you cross the border illegally into Canada, you should and will be prosecuted for violating our immigration laws. A sovereign nation, such as Canada, has a right to protect, defend, and secure its own borders. It's just common sense. Prime Minister Trudeau must make this message absolutely clear.

Illegal when entering canada but not illegal when crossing the Mexican border.
2023-03-13 0
The number of people crossing the border is just a number. Some will scream it's too high no matter what the number is.\nWhat's important is the lives of the people.
2023-03-13 0
Canada needs to build a wall to stop people crossing from that developing country south of their border. What is the US doing about it NOTHING and they complaign about Mexico.
2023-03-13 1
Makes me laugh. As if just crossing the border they all of a sudden need gloves and hates lol.. The weather's the same as new York omg
2023-03-13 0
Simple Solution! \n#1. Canada and the US both need to stop illegals crossing the Border in either direction. \n#2. The US HAS TO stop everyone crossing the Border with Mexico NOW!!! Close the damn southern border permanently\n and do not allow any one across to America!!!\n#3. Gather all illegals in America and transport them back to Mexico and tell Mexico they must deal with them and send \n them all back to their Home Country!!!\n\nENOUGH IS ENOUGH, before America is in ruin from these Foreign Invaders!!!\n(Drugs, Gun Runners, Human Trafficking, etc.)

We need tanks on our border to literally fire away once they cross a certain point
2023-03-13 0
There are dozens of unprotected borders between Canada and the U.S. from coast to coast. I don't know why they choose to cross at this one where the RCMP are waiting for them.
2023-03-13 0
Canada is too soft on illegal migrants. Thanks to PM Trudeau. Once they cross border, they applly and claim for asylum. After allowing them to enter, they start lving a good life while the asylum app is in process. They get free health care; free housing, free foods, free education all at the expense of Canadian tax payers. They receive better compensation that poor Canadian seniors. When thei asylum is denied, the stay and hide..

I may sound harsh, but as a Canadian, we don't want them.\nThey need to be charged and find, like anybody else who is crossing the border illegally would be.\nWe don't know who these people are or the potential criminal background, we don't want them.\nDifferent US cities such as New York have been receiving money to help take care of the illegals, but they have been just putting them on buses to Canada.\nF*** Trudeau may want them, but he doesn't represent our best interests as Canadians.\nMy question is what would happen to a Canadian if they tried to cross over to the US illegally at Roxham Rd, my guess is they would be jailed and charged, the same consequences these illegals must face.

Oh boy, that looks like a fun assignment at that border crossing. Must be fun telling desperate human beings that they are going to be arrested for trying to find a safe place to live.
2023-03-13 0
And what you don't think they want to get rid of the cartel in their life they help them get across the border for a better life in Canada. Like what does it take to give you? People a dose of reality. These people cross the American border with the cartel's help and now the cartel wants more out of them than they're willing to give so they're. Going to canevada god save their souls and every american unless this happened every day

CNN will report on illegal migrants crossing the border into Canada but doesn’t report on them entering the United States. The media is the enemy of the people.
2023-03-13 0
Trudeau needs to shut this border crossing already. It is so hard and competitive already to find an apartment or house to rent, there are canadians suffering and waiting on the central housing list here for years and guess who keeps moving to the front of the line taking the spots, these people who are put up in hotels, given food, money, and citizenship, also all while the people who are trying to immigrate legally have to pay and wait, it's not fair for them. I love different cultures but this needs to be done legally, things are already rough for a lot of canadians and this is just going to continue to strain the system.
2023-03-13 1
It's illegal to ask for asylum at a legal border crossing.\n\nThe only way to legally ask for asylum when crossing from the usa to canada, is to cross in this manner.\n\nAs per the safe 3rd country treaty.
2023-03-13 0
See what Canada does the arrest them for crossing the border illegally into Canada
2023-03-13 0
Canada has been the good neighbor to the US for since the border was erected, rather than penalizing the people crossing from countries that are dictated to, perhaps they could help our drug addicts, our over worked parents, help our over worked nurses and doctors, if we can't fix other countries best we can do is help who wants to leave them for improved lifestyle choices.
2023-03-13 0
They should stop crossing other countries borders illegally and then they can get actual help.
2023-03-13 0
The real news of the day is over 1,200 illegal aliens stormed our border in El Paso over-running our border patrol. The Border Crossing was temporarily shut down. That's the real news But somehow the news the day is the Canadian border. It is called the bait-and-switch technique good job CNN communist News Network!!!
2023-03-13 0
As much as I criticized Harper and Trump for being tough on immigration, this is the kind of illegal crossing that should make it a crime to not only cross illegal crossing but to punish anyone who helps, if they want asylum so bad, do it the legal way, at a airport or a legal border crossing
2023-03-13 0
Venezuelan's have it hard right now. They want to go somewhere they can be safe. They aren't going to get across this way but it's extremely dangerous to try to cross in rural areas along the border.
2023-03-13 0
Hey CNN's actually covering a border story. And they've decided to include the word illegal and border crossing in the same sentence. Amazing. There might be hope for you guys yet.

WHY IS THE WOMAN FROM MEXICO TRYING TO CROSS THE BORDER FROM CANADA WHICH IS NORTH ??
2023-03-13 0
So. Now. You . are. Gonna pretend. Like 50 people. Crossing North border is a problem. After. Ignoring southeren border. Fur years

This can't be right. I saw a video of VP K. Harris on the news standing behind part of DONALD TRUMP'S wall and she had SECURITY GUARDS with her. I didn't see anyone trying to cross the Border then. ??‍???‍?\n.

The easiest way to get into Canada is sneak across the border, where there is no border crossing, and go to an RCMP Officer to get your money and hotel room.

I imagine people from Flint, Michigan crossing the border and drinking a glass of water must be like a consuming holy wine from a divine chalice.

What makes Canada culturally different from the USA?\nWhy is it more dangerous?\nIs it gang culture, drugs, lack of nuclear families, lack of religion?\n\nWhat the hell changes when you cross the border?
2023-01-17 0
Oooh Chik-Fil-A was pretty addictive (but my weakness was actually Culver's lol)! I will say my experience was sort of different from yours with regards to expenses and cost of living - but then I was in a not-so-major, just-starting-to-grow city in Texas. I also like the idea of having a choice with regards to weather in the U.S. - like if you want more summer and shorter winters with not as much snow, you can move south without crossing a national border. I love gardening so being able to finally have enough sun to grow some plants made me happy.

I think this is a very Montreal centric view - public transport, safety and cost of living in montreal is honestly the best in Canada. Definitely not true for other cities (I live in Ottawa for example - COL and Public Transport are both pretty terrible here)\n\nBut I definitely would live in Canada over the US lol, as soon as you cross the border you can tell you’re not in Canada anymore

I lived in Ontario for more than half my life, and making fun of Quebec was a cornerstone of life. If you take away montreal which is a huge outlier from the rest of the province you end up with mostly xenophobic hillbillies, lower wages, dilapidated infrastructure that becomes immediately apparent the second you cross the border, highest income tax in the country offsetting their modest property taxes, and some of the most ridiculous provincial laws ever written to preserve their French culture. My previous employer literally could not sell their medical service software in Quebec because it was not practical for them to comply with localization laws even though French language was fully supported. I personally rank rural Quebec as the worst place to live in Canada because it's one of the only places in the world that prevents businesses from operating there over bullshit like font sizes on packaging or other graphics.

Raising immigration thresholds to this level in such a short period of time is more of a calamity than good news! For example, all these illegal immigrants, known as asylum seekers, who cross the Canadian border daily via Roxham Road in Quebec - Ottawa forecasts that they will be 50,000 for the year 2022 - are taken care of by the State, and as long as their refugee status is not established, which can take three to four years. Thus, in the meantime, they do not work since without a work permit. And who should take care of it in the meantime? The Trudeau government is irresponsible!

Really ? Quebec no 1 ?? Don`t get me wrong I live here.... It's pretty....Socialist...Stalin Socialist. And did you ever drive from Montreal to Toronto ? *laugh* As soon as you cross the province border....Your car stop to shake. Bouaaaaaaaahahahaha Roads are better made in Ontario. Oh BTW about the French language.....Did you know that English is made of 28 % of french- words ??? Thank you William the Conqueror 1066....No matter how you look at it.... If you speak english...There always will be a little French in you... So welcome to Quebec...My brothers from any other provinces.

The taxes are to pay for your “ free” healthcare. That’s why thousands of Canadians cross the border and come to the US for healthcare. Canada is too cold for me.
2022-08-27 0
My dear life is not free and so poor or rich you have to pay for those services that you think is free. Stop complaining and pay for what you are required to. If unhappy cross the border and seek the so call greener pastures. Cost of living is up to you to cut it down to where you can manage it. Be real with your life and live it as you. If you want to feel rich live as a poor yet rich.
2022-08-25 3
It's worse in the US especially for middle income earners. They are taxed over 30 percent and still paying for their health insurance which is expensive. The immigrants crossing the borders are getting free food, free Healthcare, free housing and free phones. Hence the reason why they are coming in large numbers. At some point, this country will collapse.

We were crossing into Canada by Niagara, as soon as the Canadian border guard saw our British passports, before we had even passed them over he said you folks British, no need for that nonsense, were not like that bunch of tight arses over there, gesturing towards the US, come on in and have a great stay ? love Canadians just for that ?

I have been in every province. I love Saskatchewan because I've lived here all my life. Every other province has much to see and do. I have been in about 20 US states, but at 71 I've decided not to cross that border again.
