I live in Canada and, as an immigrant, I study alongside many Indians. One of the biggest challenges I’ve observed is the difficulty some people have in adapting to Canadian culture. Indians, like many other groups, have a very strong and vibrant cultural identity, which is absolutely valid and important. However, when you choose to live in a country that is not your own, there is a certain responsibility to adapt to the new culture. After all, you made the decision to move to a different country, and part of that decision involves immersing yourself in the local culture.

Poor, one sided journalism. Canada often denies visas even to retired members of Indian security services but never denies visas to veterans of Western countries which have a mile long documented record of human right abuses in foreign countries in Asia and Africa. Canada gives visas to criminals and gangsters from India, even citizenship! Canada now wants India to give visas blindly to Canadian citizens without checking their antecedents, particularly relating to issues of attack against Indian sovereignty and terror links! India is not Canada and India considers visas to foreign citizens a priviledge extended, not an unfettered right. Actions have consequences and India, unlike Canada, takes terror related issues and foreign conspiracies working against integrity and sovereignity of the country very seriously indeed. Canada does not get White Man's Priviledge in India. That boat sailed a long time ago.

Canada is a law abiding country and no one can fool the system. It offers study visas with a condition of returning back to home after completing the study. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Brampton becomes the number one crime area in Toronto. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. No one can be allowed to take advantage of its liberal system.

I believe it's common in other cultures to invite people who they've just met into their homes. In fact that's how they get to know people. Not so in Canada. Newcomers will sometimes be frustrated because they don't know how to meet people. The answer is to join activities or invite people to cafes. Join a sport group, or invite someone to coffee at a cafe in Canada. Each person normally pays their own bill. That's how you meet Canadians. That is how immigrants avoid being very lonely. True fact, I have a number of friends who have never seen the inside of my house or if they have, it was only from the front entrance. In that case why did the Federal Governments of Canada created a delusion to migrants from around the globe stating that there is an acute labour shortage in certain high demanding job categories, encouraging all such applicants to apply through the Skilled labour Program introduced by the Federal Government of Canada,. as if there are shiploads of opportunities available just for geabs.\nSuch individuals are driven to state of utter despair or forced to get back to their home countries whereas here the federal Government of Canada is granting Asylum to all sorts of unskilled , uneducated and sometimes no literacy nor basic communication skills in English at all at the expense of the taxes and high tuition fees acquired from the student population as well as PR Holders who has incurred massive expenditure through the federal Government's detailed and tough assessment procedures just to gain entry under the stipulated visa categories. I am an Indian, came here for ML research. Was unpleasantly surprised to witness so many unskilled Indians ruining the country. Uneducated, can't speak English, rude, unkempt. Like I love my country but I also love the country I immigrated to. I know tons of Indian friends like me who feel the same way. We all feel like we scammed ourselves into coming here. Every doordash and uber guy in Toronto is an Indian guy, who probably came here through a diploma mill. Why did Canada let this happen? Weirdly enough, even now, it's easier to get into Canada as a Khalistani terrorist or an LMIA abuser with a fake IELTS score and fake college admission letter than honest Indians who come here for higher education at good schools. Anyone reading this and from India, just go to the US man. At least despite the H1B lottery they respect your time more than Canada and you earn way more in 2-3 years than you would here in 6 years.\n\nPs : I singled out Indians since I am one but Palestinian refugees with their never ending incessant virtue signalling marches, Ukrainians with their virtue signalling marches and destruction of property, middle eastern refugees etc are all part of the problem.
