This is good. It will firm up and curb unfettered immigration so that only those with skills/talent are permitted to travel on work or student visas, which over the last decade has been abused by many who claim visas but fail to deliver academically or are substandard or just dissapear. Things have got so bad now that the visa system needs a severe shake up to weed out undesirables.

A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. I’ve stopped going to 3 different stations because of it. I’m sure there’s some pungent white people out there but damn. This is on a whole other level. It literally fills the entire building.

Most of it is due to bad so called visa expert agents in India. They haven’t even been to Nepal and they help educated people fill their visa applications for western countries. The day people start doing their own applications with honesty the rejection rate will start to drop. I have seen my own friends granted US visas when they only had 2000 rupees in their bank account only because they were honest. Last year I did my dad UK visa and when the asked his monthly income I wrote 0 and he still got approved. Don’t fall for the trap guys.

The culture in Canada has changed the last cpl years. We don’t hate Indians we hate the government who mismanaged the immigration system.

I don’t know about rest of the world but in the US alone, 700,000 Indians entered the country either illegally or overstayed their US visa just last year alone. In Canada, some Indian international students were discovered to have forged their education documents and now have been deported. Temporary workers are demanding permanent residency after work visa extensions have been cancelled due to housing shortages & increasing unemployment rate. \n\nIndian people in general are good workers but these protest aren’t helping and demanding they be allowed to stay while their documents are forged is upsetting Canadians. It unfortunately grouping everyone together.

What the rejection reasons were? \n\nAs many have already commented, I will put across a list for Palki -\n\n1. Indians are Indians even outside India, well, what good are you if you do not wish to be integrated and become part of the society? \n2. Do not like to research, and instead ask questions to save time which is bad manners.\n3. Complaining is in our blood about everything.\n4. Be respectful and be considerate of others.\n5. If you are applying for a tourist visa, be a tourist and should return when the visa expires. Get a good insurance which most of the time people are not un-aware.\n6. If you apply for student visa, be a student and do not exploit the visa or violate any rules and extend your visa stay.\n7. If you are hired for work, honour the work permit rules.\n8. Last but not the least, be a good citizena and don't do anything which may spoil your countries' image.

Biggest obstacle for Indians is lack of respect for foreign land laws. For last 6 decades one can easily witness how careless and carefree Indians live in their own country. Small things from traffic rule followings, bribery, cheating anyone and everyone who is not alert or crook. Their ill actions from very young age onwards speak much louder than their worthless words. Coming from an Indian who has worked in overseas for the last 10 years - I hate to see Indian tourists with their noisy behaviour , bad manners & indecent attitude towards women (especially those from north & east India)- Like someone pointed out Indian government should step in give some basic training to Indians travelling abroad.and ban those who misbehave overseas- for pointers just see the video of Indians tourists bad behaviour aboard a Thai airlines flight

Canadians born here are last now. And gaslit and shamed into thinking otherwise is racist. Our kind culture has been seen as weakness and is now being proven as weakness. I can't seem to recall, but recently an eminent news personality gave a speech at Oxford about how the Indian passport was happily being waved around at the British airports. That, since the last decade, people of the EU and the Americas have learnt to respect the Indian republic more than ever. So, passports are respected, but the visas get rejected.

19k indians crossed into US from mexican border last year. Indians walking into US from\nCanada after housing and job crisis and there are many H1Bs jobless. West doesn’t have capacity to accommodate so many.

I think most western countries are fed up with indian scams and calll center scams. On a daily basis people get 3-10 calls from scam indian call centers. Usa lost over 10 billion dollars to indian scammers last year. Maybe shut down those scam centers and catch those criminals and maybe western countries will start allowing more indian visas.

The UAE implemented this change for everyone not just Indians. I’m Jordanian and used to go there often with a simple visa. Last time they asked for much more information compared to prior years.

As an educated immigrant, born into a family of educated immigrants, what has occurred in the last decade or so is not that. The floodgates were opened to just anyone, not under the rules and requirements of the past that kept Canada growing, at a calm pace, and with people that would benefit from Canada, but more importantly, they had something to offer in return.

Nothing diverse when most of the people come from Punjab and all\nMove to Brampton . Most can’t buys. House in Vancouver so there last resort is Toronto and they buy a house in Brampton there are shady realtors that give you a mortgage and will lie for you in the mortgage application if you pay them under the table . How is it a house that a town house 3 bedroom 3 washroom is $875,999 and someone working at a gas station and the other person working at a factory can afford the down payment for that house people are lieing about there income that’s how and over inflated the houses prices

i think deporting them is gonna be too costly and cause a lot of tension with the us and other countries, not to mention cruel for the people who managed to build a life for themselves only to have it taken away, and also might cause a recession because of the millions of jobs they used to hold being vacant suddenly.\ni think it would be a much better cheaper diplomatic and realistic move for the use to use its massive and already existing and funded military to lock down the border at essentially no added cost, and strictly deport any one who slips through after that lock down, the immigrants who are already inside aren't gonna be a problem so long as they're the last ones who ever get through. thats what i want my country the uk to do, a lockdown so no more hopefuls can get in, because as much as all the immigrants in my country don't deserve to be here, i recognise how much pain it would cause them to be deported after so long in this country. and since they're already here i say no harm in letting them stay as long as no more come.
