This is what the Dems don't understand about tariffs -- they are a negotiating tool, Trump is using tariffs as a leverage. They're not meant to be permanent. They don't even have to go into effect at all. Just the threat of tariffs is often enough. Colombia can't survive without the US as a major trading partner. Tariffs would kill them. So, they quickly changed their tune. Which is why the Colombian President 'Gustavo Petro' has already folded to Trump and has reversed his decision to allow 2 military transport planes to land there after being threaten with tariffs, serious sanctions etc. Like him or not, Trump understands how to negotiate.

The issue that he is deporting people like they were cattle and Colombia's President isn't having any of this nonsense. Put them on a commercial flight not a military plane.

Colombia did not reject its citizens, it rejected military aircraft landing without permission. Only an idiot would warn that he was going to invade Greenland and Panama and then expect countries to allow US military aircraft to land.

The Colombian President 'Gustavo Petro' has already folded to Trump and has reversed his decision to allow 2 military transport planes to land there after being threaten lol.

It sure seems like this report is far more concerned about Colombia‘s autonomy and their ability to refuse an American military plane to land then they are with the United States’ ability to refuse illegal immigrants
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
He expects all these countries to allow our military planes full of people to land wherever he wants. He’s delusional.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Colombia will accept deported people via commercial airlines not military planes with people sitting on a floor chained. Its about having some dignity that Trump doesnt have.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
And Columbia has issued they own tariffs against the US. What nots being told is that they were using military planes. Petro has offered his own presidential plane to transport these humans
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Colombia did not accept because they were on military planes. If they would have been treated with respect and like human beings and arrive on commercial jets, they would have accepted. The same with Mexico. We would not like military jets or planes from other countries coming to our country. They are lucky they were not shot down. For all you MAGA people, there are thousands of jobs for you in the farming industry. We need our tomatoes, and oranges picked. Get to work MAGA and pick those crops.

No. Military planes is threatening to any country!Colombia doesn't like the president sending them on military planes. He said he will accept the colombians if they are transferred in the normal planes migrants have always came back on. Actually the military planes cost us tax payers 20,000 a flight per hour. The traditional planes cost 8000. So just stick to the normal planes and everyone wins. It really is,all silly. Stupid news. Let's put some regulations on real estate market. So tired of drug money laundering used to buy homes and I cannot afford a home. This is just trump tv unnecessary drama!
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
? don't ship them in army planes. No military of any kind can land there. How difficult is that?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
THE NEWS OF THE DAY: Colombia gets punished with a 25% tariff & other sanctions for standing up to xenophobic bullying by denying the right to land of 2 military flights carrying immigrants caught up in mass deportations.-Colombia relatiates with its own 25%.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
This is poor reporting. They didn't show Colombia's reasons and statements as to why they didn't allow the US military planes to land. Tell both sides of the story.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Latin America should let China set up military bases all over.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Notice ~ NOTHING said about WHO is in those Planes!!! Like WHY are Military Planes being used for taking Civil Action...
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Great. So Trump is sending a foreign country a military plane with people he don't know the identity of. As in undocumented. Impressive. Maybe every country should do the same to the US? On military planes?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
It is not a crime to be undocumented in the US. If said individuals were criminals like rapists and murderers then they should stand trial and pay for their crimes in the US or they can be pardoned through a presidential pardon and released to their home county via proper protocols and not dumped in military panes without permission for military planes to fly in or through such countries. If the country refuses to accept them then it is your fault for releasing such criminals into society. Cuba was under sanctions for many years and they never broke. BRICS will break any US sanctions and leave the US isolated. All it takes is for people to wait for four years.

Just send the military
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Colombia was always gonna bring its people home, but they made sure to do it the right way. Instead of using military planes for deportations like they were criminals, President Petro's government sent a regular plane. That way, the folks coming back were treated with respect and dignity. Don't get fooled by the BS out there there's a lot of misinformation trying to twist the story
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
This report is already updated that the Colombian president has offered the Colombian presidential plane to bring them back. However, imagine misusing military vehicles to deport illegals (never done in US history) to violate sovereign airspace, thereby weaponizing the military against civilians, not other militaries. Now also imagine that 47 and the media are doing this all as a distraction from other unpopular measures he’s taken.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
I want to remind people that the reason Columbia declined the deportation was because they were brought over on military equipment in handcuffs. All Columbia wants is for their people to come back on commercial airlines with some dignity. THATS IT. So why is Trump's first reaction to punish people for wanting to compromise? They didn't say they'd never take them. They just want them returned with some dignity.

Stupid Media...The Military can Do anything...????. The mental illness in Media is Amazing ???
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
So did mexico. Military is not allowed to enter airspace of other countries.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
From what I understand is that the president of Colombia did not like the fact that the United States sent deportees in military planes and not in a civil/commercial flight, which for him was an insult or discrimination against his people and that is why the Colombian president sent his own planes. That is what I understand.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Turned back because the immigrants weren't criminals but were in military planes and were being treated less than human. donny had no authorization to enter Columbia's airspace nor permission to land and unload people on a tarmack.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
IT makes absolutely no sense why would he use the giant military aircraft to deport eighty people he is insane the planes they are using are not for human transport
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Why not fly the military planes to our bases in the countries? Then just repatriate them right out of the front door?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Putin is building a military base in Venezuela. Of course, they don't want the American military landing in Venezuela.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Call the military and fight
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
It just shows you how unplanned this was. To be in the air and have to turn around is embarrassing for Trump. He didn't have to use military planes. Had he used commercial flights, this wouldn't have happened. Let's see what this mistake by Trump does to the prices of food and other items.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
wtf! So they didn’t have an actual plan to deport these people. They thought they could just land big military planes and drop them off ?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Not seeing anything on Mexico and Columbia retracting ban on use of military planes. Source?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
After 50% military intervention and installing “democracy” with a MOAB ?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
You know what makes Trump a political buffoon? Americans took over Central and South America in the 1940s. Oh, now that the leader of Columbia turned back American military aircraft this announcer is said he's not popular with his people. And please, talk English. This isn't an immigrant crack-down if military craft fly to other countries at will.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
And Colombia is going to close down U.S. military bases???
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Trump is only setting up U.S.A to be the whole world enemy. Imagine these South America and Central America countries expelled America Military Bases and allow Russia and China to open bases all their missles points at us. Congress do something about Trump before it is too late.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Well, yikes, in military planes? That is probably seen as intolerably provocative.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Imagine Colombia will allow it's migrants to return but only if they fly on comercial planes and not military planes! How stupid is that!!!!!!! ???
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
We can get over 800 on the military cargo planes instead of 250 on a commercial airliner!\n??OPERATION GTFO!!!??
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
So we sent two military planes to a foreign country , apparently unannounced, demanding to land and get rejected. Who'd of thought?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
If the problem was just that they were using military planes, why not use other aircraft they are cheaper anyway.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Columbia wants Economic, Diplomatic or Military WAR , they got it
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
This was not a very thoughtful move. I’m sorry for the military that willing or unwilling have to follow orders ?
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Columbia's (and Mexico's) president objects to US military planes with immigrants landing in their country without any warning or permission. He said, get on the phone and set-up protocols (like a responsible adult). The US would not allow another country to land their military planes (or even be in our airspace) in our country without protocols in place.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
CAN NOT land in military aircraft! Okay, to land in airline aircrafts! And Mexico IS NOT allowing Military aircraft planes to land in Mexico either! CNN is not accurately reporting this information!
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
So, should we be worried about a military draft? Trump seems intent on causing a war.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Dude wanted to cry because we sent the criminals back in military planes. FAFO ?♀️
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
Why is he using gigantic gas guzzling military planes that carry only 80 or so people? A Boeing 747 can carry upwards of 350 depending on seat configuration.
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
SO KING DONNY WILL ORDER DRUNK-PETEY TO BEGIN MILITARY OPERATIONS AGAINST COLUMBIA !!!!
| 2025-01-26 | 0 |
VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS INCOMPLETE REPORTING: The President of Colombia clearly said he would accept deportees IF they arrive on a passenger plane as has always been done and which costs less than half of the expense of a military plane. The problem is the United State’s insistence on using military planes. I swear folks, it’s just getting started: threatening to invade Panama, the closest ally in Latin America, threatening the prime minister of Denmark, a historic ally. Anyone remember Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland?
