Why would we tolerate the way the government allows these people to speak there own language and walk around like they own the place what would we have to do if we lived in Afghanistan?conform and become one of them that's what, yet they walk around Canada's streets and restaurants rudely speaking their language loudly and making no attempt to conform ,if your in someone else's country you should at least try to be aware of their ways and respect them.if you don't want to conform then stay in ur own country.

How these entitled people play with people's jobs. There was definitely some provocation for him to be behaving like that. You're going to a government office, not a retail shop . Don't even know how to behave inside a respected organization. Behaving lije they're haggling with a vendor for discount . Also, why aren't the couple being caught and punished for filming inside a government office illegally

The aggressors in this incident have now played victims. Clearly they agitated the officer. His reaction shows anger. And anger is the source of what? Rudeness from customers who think they only have problems bigger than the rest of the world. Taking a video after creating the mayhem only shows the woman's and her husband's weak attempt to get the officer into trouble. Show us the video from start not from where she sees it in her favour. My vote is on the officer for kicking these rude people out. Respect is a two way street. You get what you give out.

The best thing about Canada is that they don't shy away from doing the labor work...like washing utensils in restaurants etc..... while in India people who do these sorts of work are called as inferior and lower class...We need to learn to respect every job which ever it is.

They underwent a lengthy process to legally get their visas. Yet millions of people feel entitled to skip that process, jump the line, and demand visas or citizenship. Interestingly, if you asked the same people if they think anyone in the Middle East who wants to come here should do the same thing, they will usually say no. Just them. Since they live close, it's apparently unfair for immigration law to apply to them.

This is the fault of the government of all these countries. From the beginning they have made law enforcement and the general population to be scared they will offend Muslims rather than being allowed to accept and treat them as they would other members of society. If one says anything that could remotely be interpreted as offensive they are labeled as being hateful and evil where as Christianity can be ridiculed without any repercussions. All peoples faiths should be respected and not one be given special consideration by law enforcement or government.

To Muslims: Believe in what you want , pray, fast, wear what you want, however: in peace, quiet. To me, it looks like Vice is really trying to pull the emotional card to get people to sympathize with this man because he really is in a rough situation. But, he is in a situation of his own making. It sounds like he had not done any prior research about Canada before deciding to claim refugess status. Yes, Trudeau was not giving the full truth when he made those public announcements to the media. Yes, people (educated or not) can be swayed by words of leaders they respect. But, to think you can just enter another country and claim refugee status without understanding what that actually entails is very naive. Canada has very transparent laws that are easily accessable in a multitude of different languages. The provinces also have legal assistance for those who can not afford lawyers. So, the fact that this man was able to spent $15,000 when he is being portrayed as a low income earner makes me question his income, or if he was even aware that he could apply for legal assistance. And since he has a lawyer who has been working his case, I would like to assume that the lawyer would have said something about assistance.\n\nI really want to be sympathetic for this man and his family, because security uncertainty makes life extra hard. But, as I have had to live in more than one country due to the Canadian immigration system refusing my husband due to a very old DUI (which has set our life on a completely different plan than anticipated), I have a very hard time being sympathetic when I feel as though they did not reach out to educated themselves on the laws of another country. I am a Canadian who currently can't live in Canada with my husband of 3 years and I still don't hate my country. I respect the hell out of it (this is not to get into our historic treatment of BIPOC, which deserves it's own seperate time and is a bloody stain on our land's history.)

Hey Yes there is a problem of racism in Canada too. They will not show directly but indirectly will do that at most of the places. Its really rude especially when i try to help out somebody or don’t have any intentions to hurt people. I always try to make people happy and smile. Why is that? I'd be really interested to see a woman in full face covering nakab/hijab asking for money, speaking out to strangers. It would be interesting to speak with them. It doesn't seem appropriate as a guy to do so. Full respect if that's the case. But I'd be interested in learning more about them as a people. I'm a white older woman who refuses to dress up on my days off from work. I get followed around stores. I am afraid to leave a store for fear of being followed. I always have to show my receipts. I have been yelled at by young males of any background because I refuse to speed while driving. I was called a crazy drunk while crossing a parking lot. People seem to be being raised with very poor manners and a lack of respect for others. There is racism in every race or racial biases in every race. We all need to remember we are all actually the same race. It's called the human race. Remember we are all human beings and deserve to all be treated as such.\nWe are all human beings with plenty to offer each other. A new friendship, a wonderful meal, smiles, wisdom, wonderful stories, knowledge etc. I know I am racially profiled by others as well and wish it just wasn't there. I love Canada, I have a lot of family in Toronto and have been there many times as well as Montreal and Vancouver. Tbh, there’s no place like the US. We have all types of climates and geography. From deserts, tundra, rain forests, etc. We have some of the best mountains, beaches, and cities on Earth. If you like cold weather, stay up north like Chicago or Boston. If you like normal every season weather, we have many places for that. Mediterranean weather in California, and tropical weather in Florida. We have it all. We have the best sports fans in the world and every sport is accepted here. You can even see so many people play Rugby and Cricket in many parks. Many great universities throughout the country. Best attractions in the world for all age groups. High pay and decent cost of living in most part of the country. Supercar culture is the best in the world especially in SoCal (my personal favorite), TV and entertainment, and the list keeps going on and on. I know that the government in this country is pretty messed up, but hopefully that will be resolved in the future. I also respect the safety that Canada has, but have to admit that Toronto is getting pretty dangerous in some areas. Plus the History of America is amazing. I really do love Canada and would live there if I had to move out of the country, but there’s no place like the USA. ??❤️??

The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.

People just don’t have the time and mental energy to understand and know each other, I guess.\n\nThat is why I’m telling my son to have a good solid ground of resilience (aka not be to be a snowflake). Life is too short to wallow on this. We came to Canada as immigrants, do not except everyone to treat you like a first class citizen. But the way you act, the way you do, and how you treat people around you may earn you respect regardless of your color, race or creed.
