Worst part is the job applications. Some companies look at South Asian names and think that they would not fit well in their company. But the funny part is a name is a name and some of us were born in Canada or lived in Canada since we were kids.

In my Express Entry profile If I only claim my Postgraduate Diploma points which is the highest education I did in Canada, not my Bachelor degree points which I did outside Canada, can I leave out my Bachelor's degree for my Express Entry profile and PR application? If you are from a first world country the this topic will resonate with you. But from migrants from third world countries this is not applicable. Canada is the best place for people who struggled with their careers in the Philippines, India, Africa, etc. To them, a better quality of life is much better than anything else.

While we don't know the full version here, I'll share mine.\nI've waited for hour outside the entrance door along with others where we don't have waiting chairs so had to sit on steps where people pass by even though we all came at the right time that was written on our papers. Then I had to wait about 3 more hours for my appointment chance and then they checked my docs and decided that I don't have two particular doc which isn't even that important these days, but he didn't say that at once, we got first doc and then he said I need another doc. so I had to wait for 3 more hours to get mine as (we had to go to school and get that doc) while all other people like those grandparents, job applicants and farmers got their passports and visas. *sighing*\nI still remember the attitude of that officer, It's like he was just there and I was just waiting his time, and he was just reminding me that his work time was about to be done and that he needs to go. \nI don't understand how the gov offices works, we have tons of population and of course tons of applications that needs to be done for work, yet the gov office working hours just 6-6.5 hours? The embassy agents are always rude in philippines one of the agent literally shouted at one of the aplicant coz the applicant asked a question about time processing.

No other part of the story..these officials have huge ego problems they just can't take applicants as equal citizens and not some beggers..!!

Landed here from NYC about 3 months ago, with only one year of working experience I didn't expect too much to find a good job. However, after only sending out about 40 applications I got 5 offers from them, and they are even paying better than I did in the US (not considering the exchange rate though), and they are not low-skilled jobs. I think for people with less experience and young it won't be a problem at all, just for those who have already established networks and gained much of the professional experience in their home countries will find it to be quite tough.

It's not just immigrants who leave Canada. My parents were born in Canada. My grandparents were born in Canada and six of my great-grandparents too. I was born in Toronto. Got my first degree from a Canadian university. Then a Master degree with a teaching assistantship at an American university. Then got a scholarship to study at a UK university. in the UK asked to conduct a graduate seminar for MSc students in quantitative analysis and computer applications at a major UK university. Then appointed senior research officer and leader of a research program in operational research. Then appointed principal scientist for a UK government agency. Eight years studying and working abroad in senior positions. Time to return to Canada. But could I get a job? I could not. \nAnd so I have a base in another Commonwealth country with a better climate, lower living costs, less tax and less government regulation. And from that base, I have worked in 20 countries all over Asia. With none of the bullshit I hear from the likes of Justin Trudeau. And none of the age discrimination common in Canada.

Hello, can I apply for a PR while on a work permit? If yes, when would you suggest I start applying? Immediately after I receive my work permit or some months after I start working? Also, can all these steps you explained in the video be done from within Canada or will I have to leave Canada at some point, whether during application or after receiving the COPR and being asked to visit a VFS for visa stamping?
