I'm American and I have met many (hostile) Canadians over the past 20 years who do not hide their anti-American points of view. One thing many Canadians seem to think is that they are smarter than Americans and cite PISA scores as evidence. What most Canadians do not seem to understand, however, is that more than 50% of their HQP (Highly Qualified Personnel) which includes their engineers, scientists, and doctors, are from East Asia. These people are their #1 import, and with them they bring higher IQs and a culture centered around education. As for the US, unskilled/uneducated migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Latin America are our #1 import. All in all, White suburban Canadians and White suburban Americans are identical in terms of academia. And no Canadians, you are not 'bilingual' in that everyone speaks French in addition to English. Your government declares Canada bilingual because it names both English and French the official/national languages of Canada. A vast majority of Canadians, however, do not speak French fluently and the number of Canadians who do speak it is in decline. Simply Google it. It's all there.

These people came to Britain, not to be British but to exploit the country trying to help them. The govt needs to understand these people should be expelled, it’s obvious who the problems are but don’t want to be labeled as racist. And the bad guys are using this greatly to their favor. Where are all the punters and skinheads , apparently they had it right.

A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. Of course black south africans will not like to hear that whitey has no plans to leave, but this is my home as much as theirs, I contribute to making the country somehow still function, and my kids are also more interested in making the nation run than running off to Australia, or even worse, Canada.\n\nI am so glad I didn't meet a woman there and get stuck. Canadian women are very unappealing and too feminist. I am grateful I had my kids with a proper traditional South African woman, and can live in traditional Afrikaner society where men are men and women are women, and there is no place for PC, gender confusion, and other libtard ideas. I left Canada six years ago back to Uzbekistan after nine years of life in Canada. It was the best decision I have ever made. Old stock Canadians are the most xenophobic and chauvinistic people I had ever seen. Tired of being treated like a piece of trash and imbecile, although I have MD and MS degrees. For educated people from any middle income country like Uzbekistan, immigration to Canada is a scam and modern day slavery. Toronto looks like a zoo, not a world class city. And the fact that Britain abstained I just don’t understand why they’re not called out by name and I don’t believe the world should go down to the scumbag level that Israel goes down to buy speaking ill of everyone but themselves, but I do want to see more aggressive talk Saudi Arabia has so much leverage I mean so much leverage I would have to say it’s quite dangerous that even with all the power Saudi has over the west, it doesn’t take advantage of this to protect the holy land, Saudi, needs to get their heads on straight and realize we need to stop fighting Muslims and start standing together Unfortunately Saudi and their population have been acting like they are superiors to the remainder of the air of world even though they are the reason Muslims living across the world have been demonized and we feel that we are always being attacked as Muslims because of the policies of Saudi Arabia on its own people. I immigrated to Canada in 2010, and here are my experiences inside and outside Canada. I am grateful for a good education; having a Canadian passport opened up many opportunities in other countries to build a higher-level career. However, if I had known the amount of stress, health, and financial damage that I had to endure, I wouldn't have chosen to come to Canada. I would have remained in the US or EU countries where I could achieve even more without suffering to the level I did here. \n\nMisleading immigration promotion: The government-sponsored Canadian immigration program oversells what Canada can offer. It withholds information on the cost of living, chicken-and-egg problems like Canadian work experience is required to get a job at the same level as you are in, Canadian credit history is required to rent a proper apartment, Canadian education is required to secure a high-level job, etc. \n\nHiring process: I knew the Canadian system was not ideal for immigrants over a decade ago, but it got so bad now that even the born citizens are unable to survive. The Canadian government and employers lack a basic understanding that ambitious, high-achieving people immigrate to other countries for high-level positions using proper channels. It's ridiculous to see that Canada uses a point-based system to choose highly qualified personnel to enter their country yet expects them to pursue low-paying entry-level or labor jobs just because they have brown/black skin. At first, I thought having a Canadian degree and experience might help me get high-level jobs, and I didn't think how I spoke or looked would matter when I had high credentials to show off. So, I got my masters & Ph.D. from the Univesity of Toronto, which consistently ranks #1 in Canada. I have a bachelor's from a prestigious university in Asia and had a high-competitive, well-paid federal government job in another country. Still, none of that was recognized in Canada, and I had to volunteer for over 6 months, 10 to 12 hours/day, in a research lab that led to a funded PhD program. I worked even harder during my Ph.D. with many accomplishments, like 40+ research and leadership awards, internationally recognized scientific discoveries, and innovative technologies. I checked all the above and beyond in various domains (research, teaching, leadership, business, engineering consulting, collaborations, etc.). Yet, employers couldn't see past my race, gender, age, etc., and refused to give me the opportunity at the level of my qualifications. Luckily, I managed to secure short-term work in the UK & the US, and it changed even how I see myself. I was highly respected for my credentials, given higher positions than I applied for, and paid 3-4 times more salary and benefits. Of course, bias is an integral part of every society, but my race, gender, age, etc., were not as big of an issue to begin my career at the mid-career stage in these countries as opposed to Canada. \n\nHealthcare: Access to healthcare was another big challenge for me. When I moved to Canada in 2010, due to extremely low temperatures, I developed hives all over my body, my eyes got red, and I coughed for many months. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me and refused to give me any medication. It took us years to get a family doctor, and we got one through my personal network. In 2015/2016, I developed an autoimmune disease, and my eyeballs popped out. As of today, I did not get to see an eye specialist as they have only 1 specialist in the area, and the waiting time is for years for the first consultation. Every time the family doctor told me that I had iron deficiency, even when I insisted that they should run additional tests and they cleared, they were flagged. The doctor never diagnosed my autoimmune condition. Luckily, during my short-term work in the UK, I saw competent interns who completed my care. NHS is poorer than the medical system in Canada... they are understaffed, don't have hospital beds after surgery, or don't have stock of paper gowns, yet the staff are highly competent and caring. Within 1-2 years, they did complete diagnosis by sending me to various specialists, completed eye surgery, and even found a lifelong condition that was preventing me from realizing my full potential. Following, in the US, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of all the conditions within 1-2 months and put me on two small pills for life. It has dramatically changed my life, and I have even more admiration for the medical profession. While in Canada, I suffered for over a decade, and every time, I was treated as a hypochondriac and never given a single prescription. \n\nQuality of life: Big cities like Toronto are mainly affected by high crime rates, overpopulation, cost of living, low employment, low salaries, etc. A few months back, there was a huge auto theft, and one of my contacts lost their Lexus car within minutes of parking. Despite being a scientist, I have no faith in politicians or individuals fixing these problems. The salaries are not increasing, but the taxes and cost of living are on the exponential growth curve. The ridiculous part is that Canada expects you to pay taxes even when you are not employed or living in Canada! I lived in London and Boston, and they offer a much higher quality of life and pay. \n\nGrowth potential: No wonder Canada, being a G7 country, falls at the bottom of the list in innovation, equal opportunities, economic growth, etc. It has a decent education system but, due to its inherent bias in the hiring process and monopoly of certain businesses, loses talented immigrants and highly qualified Canadians to the US, the UK, and EU markets. Unless there is a dramatic shift in policies, Canadians, especially new immigrants, cannot expect any positive experience in Canada except for being discriminated against and losing valuable time and money by being there.

From reading the comments doesn't seem like people understand that SA is allied with the US and Israel. Minister says they're not going to work with people whose agenda is removing Palestinians from their land but they are in fact doing just that. SA could easily put pressure on the States but has chosen not to. Actions speak louder than words.

I am talking to my friends and family back home and they all say, you are in better condition than us, at least you are earning with dollars. Lol what? I spent with dollars too. It’s not like I earn with dollars and go back and spent with 1:20 ratio. And you are spending 2000$ flight ticket to get there which used to get it for 800$ with promotion. They are like everything is 10x more expensive. Everything is 2x more expensive but when you have high quality lifestyle the feels like is actually a lot more. Mortgage rates went up 5 times more compared to the one in covid times. That impacts who has variable mortgage or the one has fixed concerned about their renewal. If you only knew the half of it.I live 4hrs from this in in Midland TX.The people that support this have not or would not ever support this again after witnessing an invasion that will slowly devour, our Nation ,our jobs, our Healthcare ,our safety ,our sanity. If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. Like you, I know someone happy with their job, location, medical care and opportunities, but they are also very uncomfortable with the political situation - I'll just say it - Republicans. You need only look at Trump and its followers. Guns over lives (including kids), billionaires over poor, religion over others' freedoms (gay/trans/abortion, etc), mass spread of misinformation (Fox news, OAN, etc) and a personal selfishness and anger which was made very clear during COVID times. It makes them feel like they are walking on eggshells, at least compared to Canada where they lived before and people would look out for each other more (even if they didn't know them). They like the weather, job, opportunities, the USD buying power, and their friends, among many other things, but it just feels excessively risky to them dealing with the combinations of these things. I can completely understand why they and others might want to leave the US.

I fled a mentally abusive relationship that I was in for 12 yrs and this loser I was with could care less if I have any place to live, food to eat, other basic necessities. He is a narcissistic man and blamed me for all the problems he caused. I have to use the food bank every month because I work minimum wage and can’t afford groceries. I live in the Edmonton ab area and apparently the alberta income support will only help you if you make less than $1600 a month or if you are going to be evicted from a place your renting. I'm confused about something, I understand they don't have free healthcare in the USA. Do they have to pay for their medications too? I know we pay a lil here, but it's next to nothing. I pay $6, for a flovent asthma inhaler and $3 for ventolin. I looked at their pricelist and it was almost $300 for flovent and $80 for ventolin. I feel so bad for the American people. Having to choose between if I can breathe or not, must be one of the most horrific things to have to worry about.

This is not just a canada Problem but is being faced world over. Its never easy to immigrate to a country. People fail to research and understand the challenges they would face and how to overcome them. They usually have a well paid job and decide to move to canada thinking its easy then cry about the smallest inconveniences. You are moving to canada to live a better life and turn your life around, start by changing yourself first to be more canadian and western ( ideologies). Let go of your old life and embrace the new and you will find canada a pleasent and joyfull place to live ( except winters cause it drains your joy and your heat?). \n\nP.S : The problems with inflation and housing is true for all economies now, if you find a country that has great jobs cheap housing and overall great qualty of life right now do let me know ill apply too.

In america we like to shut out the people that are proven skilled and competent for mass migration of low skill, low educated, low/no English language understanding, with no clear understanding of where they are from and why they are hear. And by literally the 100,000s from the sourth borders from month to month. Where they can live here without documents and be part of our permanent surf class. It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. Exactly canada supposed to be what we are lacking in our country, i feel scamed I havent been able to work because, I developed a physical conditions in my colum vertevral that liter and. its taking my life quality and incapacitated me, No only the exams takes month or vene more than a year to have but my Specialist Doctor left Canada, and I was left hanging waiting for a new specilist, its been more than two months and nothing and more that 1 year trying to be diagnosed I am really frustrated and tired of this. And the govetrnment wants to brig more people and can even provide services for the ones that are here. This is somenthing they dont tell when they sell their life style to lure more people into coming here. i dont understand how como Canadians dont complain more about health system they seem to be proud of it even if it doesnt work at all. and Its not free they take alot of tax from my paycheck when I was working.

Canada had become very expensive, the health care system has drastically declined, and the government is extremely unfavorable. I understand that patience is important, but people should not waste their lives waiting for things to get better.

What are people looking for in USA since there's also poverty and racism too, i thought India was economically better and able to sustain itself with its high population, i would understand asylum seekers who comes from war torn countries or poverty stricken countries, hence i don't know their circumstances. All Sikhs - this is not Punjab. Please follow rules of that country. Even in India except from Punjab anybody can questions us Sikhs…so let’s not give them reason. A long time back when I started working in Mumbai I came to know from a localite that a license is required for Kirpan! I was so surprised as I was from Punjab and to me that seemed really absurd. But later I understood other people don’t understand our religion and that we are NOT engaging in any fight with Kirpan…even after others are educated of our religion it is better we don’t display Kirpan in public and follow the rules of that state or country.

I come from a very civilized country with a lot of education and history but awful economy. ?? Have resided in America for a period of time...in a smaller community.. the Americans are beautiful warm people which I met..Canadians are quick to bias there opinion of america..if your free enterprising I had a wonderfully time there..and willing to understand Americans think quite different . Americans say what they need in negotiations Canadians say what are you prepared to give me outta the deal.....as for other respondents fear of safety and socialist needs..there are general laws in both countries which protect all.......Canadian see is legacy media accounts of violent events... America's population is 10 x s that of Canada are greatly inflluenced buy Canadian legacy brand media . I follow some UK based nurse Youtubers like Nanelle Griselda and some of them actually bought a house in the UK within one or two years of arriving as nurses or caregivers in the UK. The problem with the UK is that it takes too long to get papers. But these nurses that are recruited from Africa with working visas and jobs waiting are able to open a bank account, build credit and buy a house within a year. In Europe, language is a barrier that makes it hard for people to understand the system plus the immigration problem which makes it hard to make head way ?
