You tend to get high taxes in places with free health care. Many use Canada as a bridge country to the US. In the US health care is very expensive. Many companies you would work for offer free health care plans for single individuals ( if you have a family it costs a lot ) but those plans have such high deductibles and co-pays that you can't afford to use it. Most US health care plans have very high deductibles ad co-pays making it extremely expensive. Then when you retire and start getting social security which is not much money by the way, you also get Medicare which also has a monthly charge around $150 mth. It doesn't cover everything. It does not cover dental or vision. It does not cover all your hospital stay which tends to occur as you get older. Most Americans end up having to sell their homes that they spent a lifetime paying off, to pay medical bills and end up on Medicaid which is the free last resort medical care and end up in a nursing home to end your days. Most nursing homes are bad. You end up in a 2 person room, in diapers, up for meals and back to bed, diaper changed 2 times per shift and one shower per week done by whomever in the communal shower room. Shelves until you die, which many do very quickly out of despair. After working your whole life that is the prize folks in the US.

Most watching this video won't understand this comment but the reality is that Canada is failing due to a bloated, unaccountable and unlimited covert police state. What other career can you make $150k a year with a single year of college? Go search for the largest number of workers within which agencies on the Ontario Sunshine List and extrapolate that across the country. We reap what we sow. The world is passing us by as we invest HEAVILY on dkkmesric policing at the expense of all other industries that would drive a true Free Market.

Same reasons why I left Canada. It’s my first year in Kuwait (expat teacher) and honestly I’m loving it here. My husband and children are also with me and they love it here too. As we speak, the athan just began and it is such a blessing that we are missing in Canada. The weather feels like spring here and the sun is out almost every single day. I left Canada 2 years ago and moved to California. I lived for 13 years in Mississauga. About Canada: terrible weather, worst drivers, fewer cops to ticket drivers, worst community and University teaching experience. I taught for 13 years in Ontario, and it's all business. Housing is more expensive in Mississauga than a beach house in Orange County. Excellent medical system in Southern California (at least what I have experienced so far with two younger daughters). With year-round great weather and access to high-quality fruits and vegetables, school systems are among the finest in the US. I have not heard a single gunshot in the last 2 years. People are not allowed to take weapons unless concealed with a license.\n\nI would not recommend anyone to settle in Canada. I heard that most immigrants who move to Canada are not well-educated and end up doing blue-collar jobs. Those who are educated are doing under-qualified jobs. A super expensive country with super high vehicle insurance, expensive cell phone and cable plans, and so on. I took a dermatologist appointment for my kid, and it took 6 months in Ontario versus two days in the US. I know it is just my case, but overall, I am very happy that I left Canada.

True & Honest. You based it in a good higher ratio of salary & still fairly calculated disaster. Imagine if an average working class making only $ 35-40k per year single person. This is majority of single immigrants. Below poverty but no other choice but to keep going. \nRetired here & achieved good career but as soon you reach 65/ pensioner , Canada put you on poverty level receiving $1,700 / a month ( based on working full time for 35 years ) no private company pension. Okay, assuming Israel is hell bent on eradicating the Palestinians (i don't think so but assume anyway). Will the Arab world just watch it happen? As someone who moved Canada 3.5 years ago, I agree with all the reasons mentioned. There are many things government could have done better to fight against the inflation, housing crisis, high cost of living and rise in crime and homelessness. I don't even want to mention about the taxes. Like I am almost giving half of my salary to the government yet they are still taking %13 more on what we spend on, yet I've never seen a single place where that money was used to address any of these problems. One of the reasons I moved to Canada was to have a better life style, more buying power and better future for my future kids. But at this point I feel like I am living in a zombie land. High skilled workers will have some other opportunities elsewhere but refugees and low skilled workers will be stuck in Canada and it will get only worse with the current policies.

As a single muslim, thinking about getting married and the future beyond, I too am considering moving. I am just limited by my choices of countries as I require good health care due to certain lung and heart conditions. Just a note, if the countries that you are considering, you have only visited as a tourist, a longer stay (maybe 6 months or so) may give you a better idea on what it actually is like.\n\nI am from (or rather, my family is, and I still have a majority of my family in) one of the countries you mentioned, and while every single thing you mention about it is true, many of the reasons you are choosing to leave Canada for is also applicable, though it may not be apparent to a visitor.\n\nPulling out and setting new roots are never easy, even if it may be the right choice. I moved to Dubai from Macedonia which is a Christian independent country. I can t say that there is a kind of racism regarding the religion there. But the country itself does not have any future for the young generation. So I've been living here for about 6 and half years in a very beautiful country weather Islam but however, the economy and the market are seasonal and very competitive. Unfortunately, many other populations are taking the economy to the other way and for that reason, I might leave from here as well. Islam is here Alhamdulillah and all but the economy fail. So my suggestion is if you move even to a Muslim country according to your 5 points. Move with the business idea if you can open your own business. DO NOT MOVE AS AN EMPLOYEES NOWHERE cause you have a powerfull passport and the majority doesn't work that way. If you move as a single that can work out. But as a family, it requires a lot to earn and survive in Muslim countries. I hope Allah blesses you with more wealth.

Canada sucks. I graduated 7 years ago and never found steady work in my field. Best I got was a half year contract. And then I learned that even if you make 5500$ a month, your gross pay will look more like 3200$ once the government takes its cut. And for what??? What do they actual provide to Canadian citizens? NOTHING. The only people getting anything from the government are drug addicts, refugees, and boomers. Canada is a country where everything is expensive and you get paid shit. The people suck, the culture sucks, the weather sucks...I cannot think of a single upside of living here (except maybe that it's not a religious shithole and women aren't treated like cattle).

I found a great little place to live in south east Asia during a total of six months stay there. \n Canada is not the free and family friendly country that I grew up in where a family could have a home and enjoy life on a single average income. \n Flying out again in 2024.
