The U.S. will learn a lesson soon, You cannot impose tariff on all products coming from Mexico without hurting your economy. The U.S. citizens will pay that decision without a doubt. Trump has no idea of how an economy works. In my opinion he should resign as a president even before he takes oath on January 2025. He should be put in a mentally psychiatric institute at least for 4 years until he learns his lesson.

How is tariffs from Mexico going to affect us in anyway? The point of tariffs is to stop businesses from moving to Mexico and shipping their products into the U.S. We wont be paying them anything because we dont ship anything there

Would be hilarious if mexico, canada, europe and china collectively tell the u.s to go to hell and cut all ties and trades to them.

When prices go up on imported goods, U.S. companies will increase the price of domestically made goods to take advantage of the tariff. Also, demand for drugs in the U.S. comes from within, not Mexico.

The U.S. is not an exemplary neighbor. U.S. has its own warts ... guns, drug use, etc.

Ok, label Mexico what it is, a Narco state and label the drug cartels terrorist organizations... see how she likes U.S. special forces operating in her country taking down the cartels.... we have played to nice with them over the last several decades while they've flooded our country with illegals and drugs.

Definition of Maquiladora: A maquiladora is a manufacturing operation or factory in Mexico, typically located near the U.S.-Mexico border, that assembles goods for export, primarily to the United States. These facilities take advantage of lower labor costs in Mexico and benefit from duty-free or reduced tariffs under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), now succeeded by the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Companies often send raw materials or components to these factories, where they are assembled into finished products, which are then exported back to the U.S. or elsewhere.\n\nThe maquiladora program was established to boost employment, attract foreign investment, and promote economic development in Mexico, especially in border regions. Trump is a moron. He says things without any proof or facts or details. How is China ripping us off? We use them for cheap high tech labor to make our products and then American businesses profit off of them by selling the products to the u.s consumers for a huge profit. And even then we still pay a very reasonable price compared to if the product was made in the USA.

| 2024-11-26 | 2 |
Hell yeah, Mexico. Heck, why stop there? Stop ALL trade with the U.S. while you're at it. For example, 3/4 tomatoes are imported from Mexico. The other 1/4th? Picked by immigrant workers. Let's have a tomato shortage! $15 per tomato. I'm all for this. I've got my shadenfreude popcorn in the microwave.

If there wasn't a demand for drugs in the U.S. there wouldn't be a problem.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum threatened to retaliate with her own tariffs against the United States, after President-elect Trump suggested he would impose a 25 percent tax on imported goods from Mexico if her country did not stop the flow of drugs across the border.
\n
\nIn remarks on Tuesday, Sheinbaum said that drugs were a U.S. problem, not a Mexican problem, and suggested they could harm U.S. automakers with plants on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Are all the Black American commentators on this channel detached from reality? If so, I need to ensure YT removes this channel from my algorithm. BOTH major U.S. political parties have a tendency to dodge direct questions. However, the speaker fails to acknowledge one party, has a long-standing, pervasive practice of outright deception. They lie to voters, hide their true intentions, and bury their poison in bills.

The Security Industrial Complex which media definitely doesn't cover as they do in the U.S. Covert police outfits, especially in large cities; have meddled in our economy, pursuits of liberty all while bankrupting jurisdictions. The old caste system of old doesn't work in the hyper competitive global economy. Canada threw away the best years when they had a Free Trade Agreement with the greatest consumer market in history. Now we are nothing more than a exporter of resources.

Be careful with the Illegals crossing the Border that say they are Mexicans, because they are not!. Real Mexicans are not crossing hardly anymore. However those Central and Southamericans who say they are from México, are those who in case of being Deported, Mexico will be the Place. Why? To try to cross the Border again. México is packed of those illegals all around México. They try to to full the Mexican people and Authorities that they are Mexicans, since looks are similar to the people of Mexico, but the way they talk (their accent) will not full nobody in México, only the U.S. Border Patrol or Emmigration Agents will believe them.

Well, Trump announced declaring a National Emergency, and Deploying the U.S. Military to help with mass deportation, so there is a very strong reason to believe they intend to do just that. If they see it as a credible threat as of being destabilizing, as is to one of the main reasons of restrictions on immigration in the first place, to avoid overpopulation, or population control. Fundamentally speaking, 7-8 Billion people cannot all live in the lower 48 states of America ??. You have to regulate immigration for fundamental reasons. It’s the responsibility of the government, and more specifically or in any immediate scenario the current administration’s responsibility to address the current immigration status, that’s why it changes from administration to administration, to address the current status on immigration. If mass deportation is what is required to stabilize the situation, then that’s what they will do, and they will do whatever they have to do to accomplish that, depending on the critical nature of it. If Trump announces a NATIONAL EMERGENCY ‼️, and Deploys the Military then it’s critical. Regardless of who is in the White House. Trump is just putting his twist on it as Trump, but the government as a whole sees , or the majority more specifically see it as necessary to correct the imbalance.

As long as immigration isn't out-pacihng our rates of housing construction, then I see no issue with it. The U.S was founded with open immigration. I just don't want to let the U.S have a complete housing shortage like the Netherlands and many European countries and Canada.

Our military today is a high-technology force with career professional officers and enlisted personnel. The U.S. military exists to defend the country in war or prepare for war against foreign threats. Trump could quickly hollow out the military as career experts leave. The military does not exist for civilian police functions. It is illegal and unconstitutional for the U.S. military to arrest civilians or enforce immigration laws. The American military is apolitical. No one swears an oath to any political leader but only to our Constitution. Mass deportations of undocumented people living in the United States won't be done with the help of the Army, National Guard, or other military services. The U.S. military does not have to follow illegal or unconstitutional orders. Military officers do not want to engage in civilian police functions or enforce immigration laws. Trump firing military officers would hollow out the military, likely destroying our readiness to fight future wars.

The key to addressing these issues isn’t for the government to simply 'deport' illegals; it’s to make life in the host country so dependent on legal status that it becomes nearly impossible for an illegal immigrant to prosper or live a normal life. What we see now is the opposite—some states don’t even require proof of legal residency to issue a driver’s license. When services like healthcare, education, and more are offered without any checks, why would anyone bother complying? A parallel society forms, where people learn to bypass hurdles with the help of others already entrenched in the system. The same applies to sending money back to their home countries.\n\nIf you impose harsh penalties—not just fines—on those who hire illegals, you’ll deter locals from exploiting their cheap labor. This would naturally lead to many illegals 'deporting' themselves in search of countries where they can blend in more easily. Furthermore, there’s a 'support system' that guides illegals on how to navigate life in the U.S. as undocumented residents, which should also be addressed. But instead, Democrats often seem to do everything possible to favor their presence, especially in certain cities.

Deporting undocumented immigrants could have significant economic consequences. Removing this labor force, which makes up the majority of farmworkers, would likely force farmers to hire American citizens at minimum wage or higher. This would drive up operating costs substantially and could lead to further increases in food prices. Additionally, the claim that undocumented immigrants are to blame for the country's economic woes is inaccurate. Many of the recent Latin American immigrants are fleeing economic collapse in countries like Venezuela, which has been exacerbated by U.S. tariffs and sanctions. As the world's reserve currency, the U.S. dollar gives the government significant power to influence the economies of other nations. Because of this BRICS was created. Several countries are trying to get a way from the dollar.

the problem with deporting any illegal immigrant is any one can be an illegal immigrant.\nRecently an American citizen who was born in the U.S was passing into the U.S from Canada and was waved through by border security, so technically he entered illegal because he wasn't inspected, therefore entered illegally. According to the supreme court American citizens don't have standing to challenge immigration or customs decisions., so he is an illegal alien.

No, being in the U.S. with Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is not illegal. TPS is a lawful status granted by the U.S. government to eligible nationals of certain countries experiencing conditions such as armed conflict, natural disasters, or other extraordinary situations.\n\nWhile under TPS, you are in the U.S. lawfully and are protected from removal (deportation). You can also apply for work authorization and, in some cases, travel authorization. However, TPS is a temporary status and does not provide a direct path to permanent residency or citizenship. Once TPS expires or is terminated, you would revert to your prior immigration status unless you have adjusted your status through another immigration benefit.\n\nCheck your facts.

I can’t understand why these people waste thousands of dollars paying off authorities in Central America and Mexico just to enter the U.S. illegally, instead of using that money to move to other developed countries. To make things worse, they bring along their conservative, anti-LGBTQ mindset and try to impose it on others.

I don’t understand why these individuals spend thousands of dollars paying governments in Central America and Mexico to enter the U.S. illegally when they could use that money to settle in other developed countries. On top of that, they spread their conservative and gay views wherever they go.

Canadian health care is more expensive than U.S health care we pay for it just the same except the bill is in a different place.\nIf you don't mind waiting till you die to get anything done,I have waited 3 and a half years for sinus surgery and the health care has been paid for through taxes from the start of my life.\nThe waiting is so bad I looked up the U.S what it would cost and I wouldn't be Abe to afford it because our taxes are way too high

I love Americans. Although that's a general statement and just like Canada, there are jerks there just like here, for the most part I get along great with them. There are pros and cons to living in Canada and the U.S., For the most part, I believe Canada is the superior country. We have a superior healthcare system, superior banking system, superior snacks, and superior safety. However, Trudeau is killing that. He's destroyed our country to the point that one more term, and it may well be expedient to move to the USA. He's destroying our economy, our values, our culture. We have the resources to top the USA in every way, but we've never had leadership to make that happen. The U.S. has a superior economy, retail, and military. Although some may argue that the USA has superior freedoms, I'm not sure I agree with that. I know I don't feel freer when I travel there. I will definitely travel to the U.S. again. I have lots of friends there who I love and would love to see. However, it will take more Trudeau for me to want to move there. Since it looks like he's on the way out, I better just stay put at least for now.

The surge of immigrants to the U.S. is expected to add $8.9 trillion (or 3.2%) to the nation’s GDP over the next decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Republicans are pennywise but pound foolish. Just look at their record of deficits under Reagan, Bush and Trump.

The likelihood of obtaining a green card after being deported is slim to none. As it is, the wait time for someone from Mexico can be significantly long, often exceeding 20 years, especially for family-based petitions like siblings of U.S. citizens. So… yeah. Add a deportation to their file and you’re basically never seeing them again. Immigration is not like it used to be—when she stood in line for a matter of days.

Canada has more lakes than its human population. Just a large landmass does not make a real country. With only a fraction of the U.S. population of 350 million, Canada could be vulnerable in trade disputes. To be more influential globally, it would need about 150 million people, achievable only through immigration, which would inevitably impact cultural traditions.

Almost ALL deportation should be through the Mexican border because it was also through that border from where these illegals entered the U.S., regardless of their country of origin! Of course, the border wall needs to be fully completed, first.

Like the Mexican Government, the Cartels Have a Vested Interest in Managing the Flow of Migrants
\nr
\nFAIR Take | November 2024
\n
\nIn the closing months before the U.S. elections, the number of encounters of illegal aliens entering the U.S. has declined significantly. This September, 144,666 such encounters were recorded, down from 370,883 in December 2023. Everything is relative, of course. The September 2024 figures were still huge by historical standards, and nearly five times greater than the number of encounters Jeh Johnson, Homeland Security Secretary under President Obama, said would constitute a crisis.
\n
\nAs FAIR has reported, the Biden-Harris administration deserves very little credit for decline in border encounters since last December. Rather, the administration cut a deal with the government of Mexico to impede the flow of migrants heading north, as the elections approached. Overt action on the part of the Biden-Harris administration would have enraged the political base of President Biden and Vice President Harris, so, earlier this year, the administration essentially outsourced the job to the outgoing administration of Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (who left office on Oct. 1).\n\nSOURCE, FAIR US org
