if you earn less money then you don't pay that much tax for health care. I've never paid over 15% of my income for income tax and because I earn so little I don't pay monthly health care premiums they are just free. The reason I earn so little is because I have a 3yo and no options for childcare when his dad is working so I can only work when his dad is not working. As a result I get the maximum canadian childcare benefit (CCB). Although the main reason I haven't left canada yet besides family, is the clean drinking water, relatively clean air (I live in a rural area) and low levels of environmental diseases (malaria, hep B, dengue, zika, cholera, parasites etc). I keep trying to find a country that can offer clean drinking water and clean environment with decent climate and soil for growing food, and decent health care and work opportunities. If anyone has any suggestions for countries like this to research I'd love to hear them.

The more houses you build the more land you need that means farmland You can't grow food on a house or apt.The more people in this country the more food you need? Farmers have a hard time growing food as it is there will be a food shortage in 5 years ( think about it)

International students is a great business for Canada bringing lots of money and prosperity to small and medium cities with small economies. Urban Jobs grow everywhere for international students like housing, restaurants, bars, bookstores, clothing stores, cinemas, hotels, public transport etc. I think most of them study here in Canada but then with their diploma they move to the United States. Why they don’t stay in Canada?

This program like the temporary foreign workers program is just a back door to immigration.Once here they dont leave.Our population is the biggest in Canadian history yet our gdp is shrinking proving the myth they will grow the economy is bs.

I had a house for rent a proper 3 bedroom 1.5 bath semi-detached home in Mississauga where 6 international students wanted to lease the house for 1 year, and I was advised by the City of Mississauga that having unrelated individuals share bedrooms would be considered a rooming house and because I didn't want to risk the wrath of Bonnie Crombie's government fining me I didn't even consider their application. Generally, I would prefer leasing a home out to a family but I was inundated with demand from these students. I don't understand why the Cities won't permit these types of dwellings and why they permit these universities to grow and expand their campuses without ensuring enough housing. I mean Canadians are having a hard time finding homes. The fear as well is letting 5 or 6 students rent your house will turn to 8 or 10 people living there, subsidizing the rent for the original group

Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. I disagree with education. They don't put pressure on children and want them to grow slowly and enjoy their life. India has more pressure and competition among children which is never good.

Don' know when you were growing up, but public transportation in the last 10 years got a lot worse. In theory you're connected and the network is there, but delays and problems make using it very hard. Planning to move to Toronto as a single person. You need a job paying minimum 65-70k just to pay your rent/ bills. As couple it’s easier, combine income 100k with less tax deductions. Now for each kid add 20k. You won’t grow but you will survive. If you want to flex in this city 250k or better is needed.

As a canadian i never thoughg of living anywhere else vanxouver is so beautiful. Growing up govrnmebt started cutting programs and services in schools ans public resources. And kept doing it. \n\nNow they are removinf beautiful homes to build ugly apartments no yards .\n\nThere is not enough public space. Everyone is moving to the city. We use to be able to go to the beach on a weekday in spring and there was no one. Now its packes. To get to the bathroom was almost a block long. The bathrooms are small. Goos for population we has in the early 90s. We need somethings 4x larger now. \n\nIm ok with new comers but if they create a new community in the rural areas. We have so many areas up north no one moves to.\n\nOr lots of space to build new communities up north, not deatroy the current communities that already exist. \n\nWith all the new apartments there is not enough space for cara, no parking and no room on public transportation.\n\nSimply, the city cannot support anymore people. Its unrealistic. \nI worked with a girk who shares a 1 bedroom apartment with 5 other people and she still paid 1500 a month for rent.\n\nThis will soon be like america - run down, extreme poverty & homelessness. The homelessness has gotten so extreme.\n\nWages havw increased maybe 3x since i was a kid, but pricea rose eveey year.\n\nAs a kid we paid $850 for 3 bedrooms. When i mo ed to my first apartment i paid $800 for 3 bdrms. My friend pays $3000 now for a 2 bedroom aptt.\n\nThere are more crimes more thefts now. I hope you find a better place because there are the same problems around the world. The United States have normalize a lot of what you are talking about. Hate is growing, greed is growing. I'm almost 70, born in Toronto, I've only traveled to Quebec a few times, no other provinces. I have flown 4 times in my life, once to Thunder Bay, once to Chicago, and two times to the Philippines. I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world. I have worked over 40 years in average jobs but I made it. I respect everyone's religion but don't push it on me, I'm not religious in anyway. Religion belongs in a believer's home or religious establishment. All I can say is good luck, life is what you make it.

As a born and raised Canadian I made the decision to flee my homeland of 42 years the moment that the current regime came to power in 2015. I ended a highly successful, well-paid 20+ year career, sold everything I owned and was gone within six months. I am not a religious person, so that did not factor into my decision, though I knew what was coming since I had lived for years as a member of a minority that was constantly demonized by former Liberal rulers for decades.\n\nI completely understand your reasons for leaving and wish you all the best. I am soooooo sooo proud of you guys, I have a baby daughter, I am a single mother and I have the same concerns, I do not want her to grow up in an environment where LGBT stuff is mandated in their curriculum etc. I am so happy and proud to be a Pakistani, Pakistan will take decades to be this liberal as the other countries are, I love my country, I will travel abroad but I would never settle down there, unless its a Muslim country even Dubai is not bad.

Canada can be a really hard place to live. Too many people competing for limited resources- story as old as time. But throw in large immigrant population whose culture is a mismatch for existing infastructure. You are going to get growing pains.\nBTW, the so called studies /polls/surveys are a joke. It's a sacrifice for the first gen but your kids will have infinite opportunities growing up in a western country compared to india. In India outside IT and a few select fields it's impossible to get a well paying job. In western countries there are much more optionsk, even plumbers, electricians, etc make good money there. They have so many disciplines in undergrad which we haven't even heard of, and much more flexibility of switching careers, longer shelf life of getting degrees etc. \nPlus, your child gets to experience so many things like every child there learns swimming, hiking, skiing, seeing beautiful museums, etc.

I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. We are to move our families to the countryside, where we can grow our food and live as self sufficient as possible. These things will happen around the world. There is an agenda out there. Our government is in the immigration business. They know computers and robots are replacing workers but robots don't pay taxes (yet). They need to grow the population to keep the GDP up. Women entered the job market which raised the economy but lowered the quality of life and the number of babies born. Salam...Torontonian here. Last few years i have been in the same boat but cant decide where to move. With 3 little girls and all the reasons you also mentioned i dont see a future living in this chaging environment. I did grow up in UAE so i have experience living in the gulf and have visited recently, its got expensive and cant stand the sutle discrimination that exists within the system. Next, moving to places like Malaysia, not sure about finding quality work with good income buts thats one of the top in the list, with turkey and souther USA (i know). \nGood luck on your journey and keep posting :)

Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. But simply for the fact that Trudeau and his policies for the past 8 years has damaged this nation beyond recognition. I think every immigrant is a seeker , I'm from India , people move to metro cities like Mumbai or delhi for better life , then they move further if they get better opportunities so some have made it to Canada or other countries what so ever ,if someone would say some bad points about the country then there would be some judging asking questions like if we don't like it here , why don't you come back .... What i think if a person gets opportunity and is seeking to grow for a job or anything must just keep seeking to the best place to settle.
