I’m originally from Kazakhstan but have lived all my adult life in California (21-41) and now considering moving out of state or even country. I do have still another 10 years I need to live here to accomplish a few of my career goals to live more comfortably afterwards, but in a long run this is not a place to live anymore. Even in the past 20 years I’ve lived in California I’ve witnessed economy and the whole family values goes down the drain, more homelessness, less opportunities, people are more selfish, etc. I know it is happening all around the world too but as in this video it was stated, it is much harder for me to be a practicing Muslim in an environment surrounded by non Muslims (no offense) - just the lack of mosques in my vicinity, an Islamic environment for my child, halal foods, etc. There are mosques and halal food, but I have to drive for it. I have wonderful friends, coworkers and neighbors that are non Muslim and super nice and we have great relationships. But there are oftentimes situations when I wish they understood me better like with this situation about Palestine. I think Palestine is the last drop we needed to firmly make the decision to move.

Canada either it’s good or not - one of the very few countries that gives you a clear immigration program, so you can prove you skills and come even without a job offer and be a permanent resident. You won’t have to leave the country if you can’t find a job longer than a month (hello Europe) and you’ll receive citizenship not in 10 years but in 3. \nAn alternative to Canada is Australia, but there are spiders and it’s too far.

I visited just 10 years ago and it was a safe clean place to walk around and we were staying on Young Street and taking the subway.

many good points here although you missed a couple the first being that Calgary put in the homes and infrastructure oh 10 years plus ago, now reaping the benefits. Secondly a Prime Minister called 'Trudeau'!!

Listen Febby, this B.S. has been going on for decades now. I'm almost seventy and it existed when I was a young man. The joke was you want a job get experience, you want experience get a job. It's a catch 22 or the cat chasing his tale. Canada is a country made up of the old ruling elite and there idiot off-spring. So, the only way to keep their kids in the money since most, like American's a dumber than skunks is with this B.S. I spent 10 years working and living in China and although I don't want to go back I too, I Canadian born and breed want to get the hell out of Canada as well. I've worked and waited until I was 70 so as to get a larger pension and if I can afford it, the next time I leave Canada will be the last time and if that happens, I'LL NEVER RETURN. That should give you some idea what I think of my own country. The End. Good-Luck and Good-Bye. AD.

10% inflated food?? It was more like 30-40% over the last 2 years for food and rent.

It would be easier to take you seriously if you were not wearing that T-shirt and baseball cap backwards. Grown men do not do that. You are not 10 years old anymore.\n\nWhere were you born? Vancouver is OK but the architecture is bland and repetitive, as you have correctly stated.\n\nCanada has a short history. One of the oldest major cities in Canada is Quebec City which was founded only in 1608.\n\nYou are right: health care here is NOT free! Far from it.\n\nCanadians and Americans cannot drink in public because their citizens are not mature enough to control their alcohol consumption.\n\nWhere did you move to? Portugal. OK. Have you been to Brazil?\n\n\nI guess you are well off, then. More power to you.

I am here 10 years. One thing that was really shocking to me was how many people were sheeple right when the pandemic happened. LOVE to listen to what they are told to do! People refused to socialize and try to reach out. Young people. Well guess what? That was the beginning of bad news. I also have been surprised at the amount of people who assume all Americans are like Trump and have messed up attitudes towards Americans. I am looking forward to a better Canada. A place where maybe people can start coming up with friendlier ways of living life.

Last 10+ years india has risen so much and these so called first world countries have fallen down. So the gap between US/Canada and india has been narrowed down. Illegal immigration, high taxes, crime etc are on highest right now in US and Canada. That is why india is a better choice right now!

Past 10 years huh? should we blame Trudeau for all that? he's been in power for almost 10 years.

the country I grew up in and the only place I've ever called home, over the last 10 years or so has all gone so wrong. Our government has lost all touch with its people and operate like a corrupt third world dictatorship. With the mass immigration going on, I, sadly, don't think the home I knew will ever be the same.

i am from ameirca moved to egypt lived there off and on for 10 years last time was 5 years to sum it up it not worth it........ the culture in egypt is very harsh and unislamic. the athan has been lowered so you can barely hear it unless you are living right next to the masjid. your Eids and jumuahs are Gov. controlled meaning jumuah is precisely 25 mins no more than that, you stay longer in the masjid because you want to have time alone you will be scorned and be seen as a terrorist. the cleaners may even tell you to get out as well.\n your daughters will be told that the hijab is not compulsory and how dare you wear niqab in university. you will never be treated as equals even if you have Egyptian parents but were raised abroad. The economic situtation is in shambles, dont exspect safe places for your children play or just be, pedos are rampant ( I know cause i put one in prison) you want to go the beach? lol half them dont accept women in islamic swimsuits ( or anything remotley resembling it) it is a bikini only beach the other half are dirty and a down right hazard.\nthere is more i can write but my sincere advice to anyone is to visit a place abroad thats great, but living is a different ball game i wasted 10 years of my life searching for a life that didnt exist and i wouldnt want that for anyone else. change your life where you are, and make your utopia where you are.

Since the liberals with the leadership of Justin Trudeau took over, 10 years ago, in the federal government, Canada has become a pathetic place to live. Socialism has destroyed the entrepreneurial spirit. Taxes are very high and professional immigrants can not practice their occupation since it is not recognized by the government. The government prints money and gives generous handouts to those that don’t work with the result that the debt has reached uncharted territories and the Canadian dollar has lost more than 35% of its value against the U.S. dollar. Healthcare is horrible since you have to wait for months to see a medical professional or have an operation. The country is run by monopolies and oligopolies in banking, and telecommunications. To buy or rent a house is extremely expensive. Finally the winters are long and cold and when you see the sun you feel is a real treat!

This is exactly why I moved my children out of America 10 years ago. We moved to Turkey and we couldn't be happier. Your list hit the nail on the head, and a big one for me too was we never heard Azan, we couldn't easily pray, halal food was an issue...all the things you mentioned. Now, me and my daughters never fear walking alone or wearing our Abaya or hijab. We are never judged here and the people are so welcoming and kind in Turkey. It was the best decision we ever made. Elhamdulillah

10 years ago, 1400 years ago who cares!?\nWe will never become islamists so you rather go back to where ever you or your parents came from.

Strange. It's not just happening in Canada alone. European countries aren't that stable anymore. Indonesia or Malaysia is ok bearable, Pakistan is going through some massive changes and would need another 10 years to become stable and they way Turkiye is standing for Palestine I think wars will start in these regions. I would advise to move to Dubai, Qatar or Ireland.

Salam! Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether or not to invest in the Canadian market for someone who is contemplating leaving Canada in the medium term? I don't know if it is worth investing money in stocks via Canadian institutions if that money might be withdrawn in less than 10 years from now as I move to another country.

It makes perfect sense to want to get away from the things you've mentioned. The world is not the same as it was even 10 years ago. That's the last time I visited home. (Abbotsford, BC) I've lived in the States for many years now and boy was I shocked how things have changed here in Canada. I realize you and your family don't use Bible, but just to give you a biblical perspective on things that very well may parallel scripture from the Quran, at 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says... 1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. \nYou may be able to get away from the moral decline of where you live now, but honestly, these things are going to be world wide eventually if they aren't already. But there will be a time when God (for me his name is Jehovah), will step in and fix things. In the meantime, It's awesome you are putting your family first. It's sad that that is not the norm anymore.

May Allah make it easy for you. No matter where you live in this world you will find things you like and things you won’t. List the evils of the new place and ask yourself would you be okay with 10-20 years of daily life with those evils

May Allah provide your family with ease as you make this journey, and may he open up rizq and sustenance for your family in abundance-ameen. Wishing I had the courage and insight to have made this decision 10 years ago to leave.

I wish you the best ?\nWe, (me my husband and my 7 years old girl) live in the UK Kent county BUT for the last year I stayed to think about moving. We are originally from Bulgaria but Turks and came to UK 10 years ago, we just bought our house 3 years ago, basically created everything from scratch. It is bot an easy task to start from the beginning again but I believe that if Allah maid to think about moving that means He will help you.\nAs a hijabi muslim woman in a community that there are not other Muslims around I can say I feel relatively safe BUT some days I notice the look of hatred in n some peoples eyes. The other thing my girl started to question some topics they have been receiving at school and it is a constant battle for me to keep explaining to her the right and wrong. More over she is listening for now but not sure for future and this scares me.\nAs you said praying and being a practicing Muslim is difficult here as well. We are Turks but do not have Turkish nationality but when we go for religious holidays in Istanbul I feel completely different, it just feels like I have to live there near the mosque. My inner me begging me when we are in Istanbul in the old part of the city to stay there forever. \nI really know what you feel and want. I am looking for Muslim countries where possible we can move BUT unfortunately I made the conclusion that there is not a place even in a Muslim land that we can live the way of peaceful practicing and being a Muslim what we want to be. \nJust advise be careful with the Arab world, other than that if you look at Türkiye I would say do your research really well, not in every town there you can live your religion. Azerbaijan is excellent I would say but they are still under the influence of Russia. \nSo really difficult decision, may Allah guide you. Amin

I just moved to Karachi, Pakistan, and life is just wonderful, the best schools, my 10 year old niece is making video games, and she goes to Haq academy. The tuition fees is 25000 rupees per month, rent for a nice house/apartment is around $500.00, you can live here comfortably for about $1200/month. Please don’t believe all the negative comments about Pakistan, also the healthcare is the best in the world. Please check it out for yourself. See you in Pakistan!!

This high cost of living in Canada is going to turn Canadians into Americans... in 10 years there will be no more nice Canadians, instead they will be Americans who live in the north.

I wonder why the whites are moving is because the police are not upholding the law they re running away. They don't arrest them because they scared that they might be going call dresses when they should just grow a pair of bollocks and Arrest, the licence of donations will help to keep our volunteers ready. That was 10 years ago now. The police don't get out of the government doesn't start doing something. I can see the file right and Terrorism\nThe government are there to govern the majority, not the minorities. What has happened to democracy? If they are controlled by people who are a minority who don't like our laws, our culture

This was 10 years ago. Now in 2023 the Muslims are doing it again. There is no end to this extremism. Halt migration now. Other religions from abroad are doing the same to other European and North American countries. It’s time to put a halt to certain religions migrating to the U.K, other countries, it’s up to them.

there is only one reason , capitalism takes lives if you have nothing to offer that is valuable to capitalism , your life will be a lie under capitalism , food sleep and eternal struggle to pay the bills \nand the problem with capitalism is unlimited views in a limited world (simple math inflation worldwide is growing at an average of 10% per year, how many of you in the capitalist world have a salary growth of 10% per year, and many other reasons too)

Canadian employers and often hiring managers are very very conservatives and risk adverse. Both as someone who grew up here, worked abroad and came back, the whole process for getting a job (as well as seeing how my colleagues behave as hiring managers / HR), it feels we are decades behind most countries in how we hire. \n\nIf not for my previous Canadian experience before going abroad, it would've been much harder for me to get any employment here. Moreover hiring managers are insanely close minded relatively, I've had countless discussions with people who would rather go with a worse candidate that they know from previous or referral than someone who's obviously more qualified / knowledgeable. It's also possible that the hiring managers have no confidence in their own ability to gauge skills (long LONG rant in this regard...), so they always prefer to go the safest route (for themselves) rather than take any risk on someone who's more skilled.\n\nCanada is (well.. used to, 10 years+ ago) great to live but it's horrendous to make a living.\n\nwith everything going to a shitshow over last decade... we can't even have the first half of that sentence anymore. I now fully expect my kids to leave the country when they look for work and it's probably best for their careers / entrepeneurships (ANOTHER part canada is just hostile to SMBs).\n\nTransportation... yeah, anyone who's lived abroad will consider Canada public transport to be very very low tier. however, you tell that to life time Canadians and they'll be super offended, aggressively defensive how great it is, etc.

Man, I know this is a 10 year video but goddamn! Europe needs to deport every single one of these jihadis. They can go musl!m countries where they already have sharia law. And then they whine about !sl@mophob!@!

Thank you for being so honest. \nI only visited Canada many years ago (2002 and 2003) and I am not planning on moving there anytime soon. \nI’m Italian and been living in the UK for over 10 years. Some of the things you mentioned about Canada resonated with me as they sounds very similar to the UK: cost of living, making friends with locals, and healthcare system. \nI love your videos. \nKeep up the good work. \nTake care, from London xxx

As a russian i lived in spain and in the uk, having good salary and position, and i got back to Russia despite the war, cos sorry to say the west is not what it used to be even 10 years ago: healthcare, education , quality of thr population is so low now and more then this its getting worse every year.

We let too many immigrants in waaaaaaay too quickly, which is all to plan. The World Economic Forum owns our Liberal government, who doesn't care about this country. It's simply a cash-cow to Liberals. Rampant corruption at every turn. They let in millions of people with nowhere to put them, what did they think would happen??? They plan on letting in 500k every year going forward, it's not going to stop. They tax us to death but keep wages stagnant. \nWe need to shut immigration down, full stop, for at least 10 years. We can't keep going on like this.

Most of Canadian institutions and companies are bogus. In 10 years Canada will be much worse than the poorest African country. Currently, Canada is almost LAWLESS.

My family and I came over 10 years ago when I was younger, but I am going emigrating in 2024 for northwestern Europe. At least there I can afford a home and most other things are cheaper. The government also supports it's people unlike this country, and salaries are not much lower, even after taxes are accounted for

As a resident of the capital region of British Columbia: houses are 2-3x the cost they were 10 years ago. You can no longer get a doctor. Food and gas prices are also through the roof. \n\nEarning $100,000 in 2023 is like making $50,000 in 2014 in terms of spending power. This is an absolute disaster.
