Oppression of a race is ofcourse unacceptable, But it is made to seem that racism is worse now than decades before, like when blacks were forced to sit in the back of the bus, and native kids were put in residential schools, Such things i think were real forms of systemic racism, i am not saying that racism does still not exist anymore, It clearly does. Changes were made so no mattter what back ground you come from your believes and traditions must be accepted as part of a multicultural people in north america. But if you only focus on the mistakes of the past, and blame the sons and daughters for the sins of thier fathers, It will only drive in a nail into an invisible wall of indifference and bring true forms of rasism back!!!

There is discrimination here. I am from Latin American and it has been difficult to fit in this country but most importantly to find a job. I mean fit in because they look at me very weird. I don’t really feel part of the society here. As for work/job There are many companies that only want asian or only want white people. I think Canada should start asking companies to present how many black, Latino, Asian and white were hired.

I've been 6 years here in Canada ... It's the first time I know that when I used to be asked if I need any help, they were actually checking if I am stealing ... I never took it that way .. I always took it positively and that people are being nice to customers ... I prefer to stay in my naivety ... it's easier ... in the other hand as a part time Uber/Lyft driver ... from the middle east ... white riders were generally the best and most polite (apart from very few drunk riders) ... they are miles better than all other races .. including people of my own country ...

I am from the US and am ashamed at my country’s racism. My family has always taught me as a very very young child that my country was new and made up of people of every country...a melting pot. As my parents taught me I also taught my daughter. It wasn’t until she reached high school that racism was really addressed at my home. In her sophomore year she came home extremely distressed over a discussion at her lunch table. Mind you she had been with the same group of girls since kindergarten. The subject came up about a new girl in school, from another country... Africa. She was so distressed about the conversation before the end of day she spoke to a teacher about it...her math and track coach. I was incredibly proud of her! To this day I can’t thank my parents enough for instilling in me what I needed to live free. To this day my daughter 17 years later has the pleasure of that young girl from Africa as a part of her extended family. We know what we are taught and ignorance has no place in or society today. I also grew up in Chester, PA where Dr Martin Luther King Went to school or a time, my parents were so proud of that.

I think everyone has their own bias / opinion for any person. Regardless if they are the same race or different. People of the same race can dress differently and people will have different opinions. All we can do is to be our best not to behave in a rude or hurtful way. And I feel for the most part, in major multicultural areas, Canadians are doing their part. \nSome of the tests in the video seem a bit too high level. It's not really scientific. You can't make any definite conclusions from it.

I have no problem with skin color or race. I do have a problem when I go to the doctor's office and cannot understand half of what the doctor is saying to me. I do have a problem when I call for technical service and cannot understand half of what the technician is saying. This is frustrating. If people with another first language want to work for American companies where communication is a big part of the job, I only wish they would speak more fluently. I had this very situation this morning. Called for service, could not understand through heavy accent. He was getting very frustrated with me. If I went to another country it would be up to me to learn to speak that language. I dealt with this in the hospital...and in this setting it can be critical. I spoke to the Chief of Residency because of a potentially harmful situation and was told the residents all meet their requirements for English. well, whoopdido...that did not help either of us when a patient was going south.

I love Canada, I have a lot of family in Toronto and have been there many times as well as Montreal and Vancouver. Tbh, there’s no place like the US. We have all types of climates and geography. From deserts, tundra, rain forests, etc. We have some of the best mountains, beaches, and cities on Earth. If you like cold weather, stay up north like Chicago or Boston. If you like normal every season weather, we have many places for that. Mediterranean weather in California, and tropical weather in Florida. We have it all. We have the best sports fans in the world and every sport is accepted here. You can even see so many people play Rugby and Cricket in many parks. Many great universities throughout the country. Best attractions in the world for all age groups. High pay and decent cost of living in most part of the country. Supercar culture is the best in the world especially in SoCal (my personal favorite), TV and entertainment, and the list keeps going on and on. I know that the government in this country is pretty messed up, but hopefully that will be resolved in the future. I also respect the safety that Canada has, but have to admit that Toronto is getting pretty dangerous in some areas. Plus the History of America is amazing. I really do love Canada and would live there if I had to move out of the country, but there’s no place like the USA. ??❤️??

What I love about both countries that religion doesn't play much of role . Btw Canada is 60% non religion . And USA is 40% no religion . But the most important thing is that the secular identity in both nations . Christians in both countries are not traditional Christians . But secular Christians . That's why Americans and Canadians marry other people like non religious and other religions \nAnd they are very open minded nations . I just hope if I can marry a Canadian or American because Its my dream to marry and settle down in there for a very big part of my life . The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.

Let's face the reality. Discrimination is a fact of life whether it's legal or not. But it's not all about race. Anyone can be discriminated against because of the way they look, act, dress, even the way they walk and talk. You can have two people from the same ethnic group and they can have a totally different experience. For me, it's mostly positive. Not only it's positive, I felt I have an upper hand because of my race. If people like you, they will be color blind. If they don't, it doesn't matter what race you are. So please stop this type of racial dividing message. What you should promote is property etiquette in different cultures and help people become part of the melting pot and understand each other better so we can all get along.

Its dangerous. I am from a muslim community, but I am not a islamic believer. We usually wear doti to outside and will fold it above knee. I am from kerala. When i was studying in hyderabad. When i went outside with doti folding above knee. Some people wearing skull cap called me and asked me to unfold the doti and cover lower part of leg and they was very angry. After that they asked me my name. When i told my name is fasal rahman, they asked me that why brother dont cover 'ourath'. They told that they thought i am a tamil hindu. I realize that some people are asses....that will never end. But the term racism is thrown around way too much. First of all, it’s tribalism and it’s a normal part of being human. Any thing that is ‘other’ or different will be viewed with suspicion and or dislike. It will never be stopped, it can’t be educated away and it can’t be made to go away by immersing people in multiculturalism. Think back to when you were a child even...seeing someone who was handicapped would make you wary of them. Now, when those normal perceptions cause you to treat someone bad or as a lesser person is when it becomes a problem. That CAN be educated away. But to attempt to make people feel bad because of there responses to the faces on the computer is ridiculous. EVERYONE, regardless of race, will have tendencies towards tribalistic thinking.

I think what ever they provide is good , but as an Indian we are greedy people even I am also part of it..we always want to earn money anywhere, than talk about struggle and many things..it is not compulsory to do part time job..focus on full study only...but you want to study as well as earning money..so definitely in any part of world you have to do this type of struggle...I am sorry but I think you are here for taking sympathy of people and making your subscription ... what ever...best of luck..study good and get good job...

In middle ages, Kazakhstani people were the most feared rivals of Muslim Civilizatiion. And in no way they could conquer us by means of war. So what they did is they sent a whole bunch of missionaries to our land, but in pursue of converting us into Middle Eastern religion, they changed themselves. Just like early Christianity that came also from middle East has changed under the influence of antique European culture. \nOur Tengrian culture mellowed down lots of Islamic rules, also many of us turned atheist  during Soviet Union, and learned critical thinking, I am an atheist, my mom is a muslim. My father is an atheist. All my surroundings are muslim. We argue sometimes about religion but mostly for the sake of discussion not a fight. But don't get fooled by the number of muslims here, we do not allow  any religious fundamentalism in our country. \nAnything that is not a part of our culture in Islam is being rejected. Like we do not allow kids to wear hijabs at school. Religious speeches are not allowed in schools and secular institution. Yet we have a growing number of mosques (all under strict control of our government) \nSo if kept as a religious community, where people help each other overcome the hardships of life, practice it moderately without pushing to anyone it is possible to have adescent muslims, but in no way it should be in contact with Middle Eastern ideologist that treats Western civilization as an enemy. \nYou guys need to separate british muslims and mosques from Middle Eastern warlords influence. It is a slow process, but it is worth it as it is the only adult way to deal with Islamic fundamentalism. Not by hating on your fellows citizens just because they are muslim.

People think that living in foreign countries us good and relaxing and you enjoy a lot. Well this is not true. I have one of my friends who told me the way he lives and works and studies in Canada. Believe me, you won't like to hear what he told me. He does two part time jobs starting from morning to afternoon at 3 and does another one from 4 to 8 and he barely gets 4 to 5 hours to study. At times when there are exams or tests in the college, he has to skip the work and go to the College but when he skips, he feels from deep inside that for today I don't have even this amount of money and believe me, staying in Canada or any other county is not as easy as eating a plate of rice and on the first time when you go to look for a job, you will get it at McDonald's or any type of restaurants. And the work my friend does is to cut meat at McDonald's in Canada.

there are dozens of flaws in Canada's immigration system. I am surprised to see that a person who has not spent a single minute in Canada enters the country as a permanent resident . has not paid a single dollar in taxes enters as a permanent resident. has not played his part in Canada's society and doesn't know fuck about Canada enters as a permanent resident of Canada. it does not surprise me to see people commenting about residents living in Canada do not speak English. \n \nI will give an example of the UK here which is far more developed than Canada and have very high standards. first of all, no one can enter the UK as a permanent resident of the UK. even if their partner is British, they will still come to the UK on a visa. depending on how much their British partner earns, it will take 5 to 10 years for them to settle in the UK, provided they pass the residency test in the UK(which Canada does not ask for whether you are in Canada applying for a PNP or PR or you come directly from another part of the world). a person who gets in the UK as a student spends minimum 7 years, if he is not married to a British /EU national to get a PR, most spend 10 for a UK PR(known as ILR in the UK) provided they pass the test for English and life in the UK (citizenship test). in return, the UK offers to its residents what no other nation offers. canada is giving away residencies as if its a leaflet. it's easier to get a Canadian residency than it is to extend a skilled visa in the UK. I have lived in Canada and felt that standard of living in canada is not very high as compared to the UK. so if Canada offers easy residency to people, it is only because they also know they are not giving away something precious :)

Lebanon also used to accept refugees. To have, apparently, no English whatsoever after so many years does not indicate a desire to integrate. The (once) United Kingdom's seriously overburdened NHS spends 23 million a year on translators in 128 languages and many 'migrants' see this as an entitlement; indeed, it is a disincentive for some to even bother trying to learn English. This particularly pertains to many migrants from the middle-east and china and one Afghan patient whose family are regular beneficiaries of both the NHS and its translation services recently claimed (having been here for several years) that his wife (only in her 30s) would not be learning English because; 'It's too difficult' so for some, unfortunately, there is no will at all to assimilate. Housing and social security payments are, of course, part of the package and these individuals produce no net benefit at all either socially or economically and it's getting worse so spare me the bleeding heart rhetoric we keep hearing from mainstream (almost exclusively liberal) media. The BBC which is funded by the British Taxpayer cannot be relied upon to tell the truth or give the facts and continues to actively promote uncontrolled 'migration' so I think it's fair to say that they are fully facilitating the 'Kalergi Plan' and the decimation of the cultures and peoples of Europe!

So running from your countries problems isn't the answer for the whole country with issues.\n\nMaybe all these people running, should stop, get together, and change things in their country.\n\nIt may not be easy, but that's part of building a country. I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.
