The one and only time I was in Canada was a visit to Montreal. My wife and I found the people there to be the rudest people we have ever encountered in all our travels, and will never return.

So here is the thing about what you have said about retraining and going back to school over here in Canada..\nMy wife has spent ten years going to universities in BC becoming a counselor but now we have moved to BN they want her to spend another 4 years proving to someone in NB that she can do the job she has been doing for 15 years , oh and she is a Canadian!\nI have 20 years experience as a plumber even before I moved to Canada, I prove this to the canadain goverment I can do my job get my visa. Then you have to do this all over again because the unions are really in charge over here, they dont want people like me moving here from the UK taking their jobs as they put it...\nWhy say to someone that, hey you can come over as you are exactly what we need! then tell them they have to go back to Collage and sit more exams and do schooling all over again.. Hi Jason-\nCurrently I am on a Work Permit and working in Canada. I received the ITA to apply for PR, I have a query on the medical requirements for my wife and child. \n \nBoth of them had completed their Medical in March-2021(5 months ago) for a Visitor Visa(long term) but they are still in India due to COVID, the Visa application is still in processing stage. Do they need to undergo a medical examination again for Permanent Residency or we can use the same old Medical reports for them. \n \nSince I am already present in Canada, I am exempt from the medical exam. Just wanted to check on my family.

I grew up in Edmonton and left Canada 30 years ago because the Edmonton Police simply would not leave me alone. I couldn't even drive my car around the block without winding up in a courtroom. The police harassed my parents for years after I left hoping to find me. (i.e. STAASI). Now I live in subtropical Australia and still drive the same Oldsmobile. I never have legal problems here and at one stage owned three houses. In Canada I am labelled as a racist but here I have a Chinese wife and my daughter is fluent in Mandarin. The reason that taxes are so high in Canada is that Multiculturalism costs money. Every time some monument or cultural center is built, someone has to pay for it. My greatest disdain of Canadian society is the political correctness. I remember before 1984 when one could tell a joke without fear of incrimination.

It actually depends from what country you migrated from, your networks here and luck of course. Me and my wife coming from developing country and migrating here in Canada realized how much our lives have changed for the better. We could buy our own vehicle and purchase our own home. Yes its true, we have give up our friends back home but we found new friends here. It is how you accept life as it is and be happy. Canada is not for everybody I agree, but for someone like us, Canada is our second home.

My wife and I paid over a Million Dollars in Taxes (over 40 Years!) to get “Free Health Care” and a Government Pension of $ 500.00 a month! Had I Invested one Million into Google or Apple ? instead, I would be Living NOW in Monaco ??!!

I know Canada is not perfect and I find you’re a bit hard on the red maple leaf... just because you don’t find the same things as your native country. It’s like\nfrench people coming from France, going to Quebec province an complaining about the food, the weather etc... well we’re not France, sorry to say! But I can\ntry to understand your situation; it’s probably inevitable that the comparison between your country and Canada would show up eventually. I see regularly \nimmigrants moving here and it’s true that it’s not easy. (Some people will have to be cab drivers because they can’t find work in their field). But you have\nopportunities if you work hard. I have the example of a Russian truck driver who move here with his family (wife, two kids). The man started by working for\na general transport company, then was able to buy his own truck. Now he’s able to work with whoever he wants. So I think every experience is different.\nOne other thing I noticed is that for families coming here it will always be easier for kids (even teens) to adapt quicker then their parents. I live in the east\n(the maritimes) and there is not very large cities. Some immigrants that come here will stay for a while but then they would move to a larger city (like\nToronto) because that city must have the most ethnic diversity in Canada. For cultural differences true that Canadians are like Americans in the «none»\nfashion trending. It’s a different mentality then Europe because over there fashion is a statement; you are judge on your appearance. Here, not as much.\nIt shows you don’t like winter and if you don’t your not a real Canadian! :-) Don’t generalize, a lot of people here like winter. And for taxes I don’t have a clear\nexplanation other then we have a huge empty country that needs roads, infrastructures, etc. and someone has to pay for it! (fun fact, all the population\nof Canada could fit in a country like Poland... it shows how empty it is here). Finally, and I heard this many times, maybe the people or the part of the\ngovernment to blame is Immigration Canada. Maybe they give to much of an idealistic image of Canada! I have been PR and working ( oil & gas ) in Canada 50% of year for past 7 years. Buy house in Banff and pay ridiculous high tax. I am happy in Canada, but will never leave Russia. Wife and kids come to vacation in winter to ski and we enjoy this time. Probably biggest reason we would never stay in Canada is low IQ liberal government of virtue signalling imbeciles. World laugh at the western liberal and for good reason. \nGreat country, terrible government.\nI will continue working there and supporting the country with high taxes but will not permanently live there.

My family was given a stay at a 5 star hotel and we stepped passed veterans who are homeless and they dont get help . I live like a king have a large bank account and have 3 different alias . My wife uses her maiden name as well her real name and her new name . Most families I know get average of 3850 per month free luxury hotel free food free clothes healthcare free tracfone and there is no need to work anymore . It all depends what condition you are living in Pakistan. I like this Ashir but he has strong grudges against pakistan and has strong biased opinion. I came to canada in 2009 with family. I can tell you that those days were a little different less racism and pretty much no islamophobia now there is even if you admit it or not. If your daughter or wife does cover her head they can be in trouble out alone. Economy in atleast alberta and other provinces too is on decline. If you want to make good money medical fields are good like pharmacy nursing related rest is bad. My wife was a doctor in Pakistan cleared all her papers but didnt get any residency as of yet.

I came here in Canada 12 years ago and got 4 professional job offers I choose one and moved to Windsor since then I am here in the same company and our company paid one million dollar to Islamic organization London after this incident , I never ever faced racism especially based on Islam even in ramdhan our company allows us to work flexible hours .... And respect our Halal food when there are parties arranged by company and my parents got immigration too ..so our family is reunited here ... He should break up the hourly wage and how much we pay taxes in canada and what's the take home. And whats the monthly bill apartment bill, grocery, cell phone, internet, car insurance and whats left behind.. living in good neighborhood means higher apartment monthly rents ... u wud have no option but to send ur wife to work. Which wid make other things complicated. Both of them come home tired and upset and life is too fast to just survive. Having the house in Toronto and neighborhood is soo exoensive and u have to keep paying till u die. \nOfcourse ppl work themselves because it's too expensive they can't afford to pay for repair. Just the house and road beauty is not enough. Happiness doesnot come cheap. U pay the price.

Comparing Pakistan with Canada is no comparison in terms of job, life and asset security, medical coverage. One of my friend who have well established textile business got their mother admitted to one very famous hospital in DHa lahore. Doctors almost killed her mother just to make more money. For very minor issue they paid around 2 million rs to different Private Doctors. And 3 to 4 operations without even doing ct scan. I luv my kids and would never like them to grow in this environment...
