Took me 6 years, ridiculous amount of fees, pass a test and interview just to become a citizen. And these illegals come here and get free housing and help from the government while the legal immigrants had to work our butts off just to afford to pay for the process to become citizens so yeah, its unfair and honestly pisses me off too.

Honestly sometimes I think as black people we are to blame. We are always complaining, we all know that the only way we can counter racism is by economic emancipation for all black people, how do we do that? Well we need to recognise and support black owned businesses, we need to be well educated and relentless in pursuing financial and mentality freedom. This doesn't move me with sympathy, it moves anger in me. My family and I were homeless in the U.S. all because I decided to further my education with a school who claimed to be accredited and all this stuff but quickly found out it all was a sham....so in not securing my deposit on a new place or being financially able to fight an eviction were the property basically got paid twice for bs they didn't handle...all because the irs took my income tax which I was depending on being I just started a new job and had 3 weeks before my first paycheck...we were on the street....everywhere I turned was a wait-list and no one I mean no entity would help us..... claiming lack of funding or some proof of homelessness other than papers proving your eviction....just so many ridiculous things....it took us a while to get off the streets and this is kids born on this soil....with a citizen who never been in trouble with the law, 3.8 gpa, educated and motivated and employed.....on the street and although now we have a roof as U.S. CITIZENS still struggling to find our footing....and STILL NO HELP...NOT A FOOD STAMP NOTHING and the lights are out due to the landlord....soooo I'm not sympathetic of these people....I struggled and still struggling in MY OWN COUNTRY WITH NO HELP FROM MY COUNTRY....GO BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM AND FIGURE IT OUT.....

I don't think people realize how small an area Vancouver BC is. They need a way to drive to Vancouver island and it's ridiculous that a second pipeline has never been built next to the first one in 70 years. Winnipeg looks like they've mastered the trailer park but downtown looks raggedy as hell

I run a small business in Canada and it’s ridiculously difficult to do here right now. Not only is the available labor pool deficient, but energy prices are high and regulations inhibitory. \n\nIt took 10 years of blood, sweat and tears to get to a solid place, and yet some days I still want to throw in my hat because the Canadian government issued another mandatory survey that takes DAYS to fill out, or some other such nonsense.

There is absolutely horrible living in Canada. The country is so freaking cold. Home prices are ridiculously high. It takes 20 years or more to save for a 20% down payment on the purchases of homes. High income and consumption taxes make it impossible to save money. Rents are 2/3 of an individual's monthly income. Food costs are very high due to recent inflation. Most Canadians are unable to pay bills more than $500. Yet, Canada wants to attract more immigrants by promoting this country as a nice country to live.

It’s ridiculous how they now feel so entitled to enter our country illegally while Americans are struggling to buy food, get housing. This has to stop. We need the National Guard out there to protect us from this invasion.

Some of your points are great - some are regional - housing issues are definitely a problem in some cities - Toronto and Vancouver are ridiculous- Calgary at the moment has tight inventory- landlord issues really depend on where you live. Taxes are due April 30th not the 1st. It can be difficult to get hired in your trained profession as an immigrant for the reasons you’ve shared. Our company consists of about 80 percent new immigrants, but we need people with Canadian work experience on their resume. It is costly training - and firing is something we DON’T want to do. So we need good references to hopefully avoid that issue. You were very fortunate to get a Dr so quickly. Again the specialist referral issue truly is more about your Dr than the system. A lousy Dr won’t refer patients because they don’t have the contacts. It’s more complicated than you’ve shared. I have had no problems with referrals because I’ve had good Drs. New Drs will have a harder time and unfortunately those are the ones taking new patients- hopefully those issues change as they get established.

We should not be responsible for the placement of migrants. This is ridiculous. We should not be helping Ukraine in the form of providing money & weapons.
