When you try to minimize inequality you drag the top achievers downwards to the dregs of society, it never goes in the other direction. Inequality is a positive good because it means in a free capitalist society that the person got a job or maybe started a business and is getting more money for producing something of worth. The unequal person is of course at home doing drugs, playing video games or being idle. The best societies can only be unequal. As an example when you start out of school you make peanuts but then you become a self made millionaire and then you are drastically unequal to your school leaving young self.

As a Canadian, it is the colossal ignorance that usa'ers have that grates on me.\nUS americans are ignorant about even basic things, drives me crazy if I visit the US.\nTheir ignorance bombards you from every direction, and of course they are not aware of it.\nI suspect their lower education (for under 18 year's) system is completely absent, this may be the cause of their general \n ignorance.\nIt is quite insulting to me.

It is best to report to the cabin crew directly instead of having a one on one conversation with the other passenger.

Sometimes I wish you were more direct about addressing motives of policies.\n\nWhen regarding the percentages of family to company-sponsored immigrants, you stated boldly an assumption about keeping immigrant families together as the US motive, while burying the point ,of trying to bring in wealthy immigrants (like Elon Musk) to the exclusion of the poors, right at the end without fanfare and straight into the sponsorship.

Honestly I think that the political parties support immigration in Canada is because they have a direct economic benefit to it with high housing prices and so they allow more and more people like cash-cows to come in Canada.

We got McDonald’s and star bucks I’m Canadian but I wouldn’t want to move to the states maybe 15 years ago that would have been a cool adventure but not now. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying Canada is better we both have shit for leaders but if I were to move it’d be somewhere else idk where else but not here we have a lot of the same problems and headed in the same direction.

very good podcast ?. The direction of conversation was very subtle and answers were very true to reality. We have faced the same same situation in last winter.\nBeing a parents we should find out the solution,No place is more comfortable and convenient without children.\nIt is as a human body is lifeless without a heart.

I want to clarify something a lot of Canadians get wrong: Biggest bank of Canada is actually Desjardins but it is not controlled by OSFI because back 1995 everyone knew Québec was going to seperate from Canada. It got the approval from Canada, the support and recognition from multiple UN countries so Canada went ahead and did all the paper work in advance to prepare Québec for independence and because Québec was to keep using Canadian dollars, Desjardins the biggest bank in Québec became allowed to print its own Canadian cash... But then disaster: The 1995 referendum failed by 50 thousand votes and so Québec stayed in Canada and Desjardins won the lottery like the Federal reserve in the US did. Now Desjardins is the biggest bank of Canada. https://youtu.be/DwGnoDutrQI \nThe socalled big 6 tradditional banks are more like the bank of OSFI because it is OSFI that controls them. But Desjardins is in direct competition with OSFI and free to do pretty much whatever it wants and because it is french it is one of the sources of the jealousy you hear a lot from english canadians when they talk about the unfair favoritism the Canadian govt has towards the french Canadians.

Just one person here. One: Canada's going in a bad direction for some. Perhaps very bad. Latest is the opposition to the current leader of Canada (and the group) who is shown to be the same in many ways. But it's US better? Mexico might be, except for cartels.\nCanada is multicultural. Arrangements are for 'millions'(?) more.\nImmigrants are in 'tent CITIES' I one city.\nBut doesn't US have that, too?\nSo, not seeing reasons? Politically difficult in both.

Tyler that Google translate was terrible. Mais non tabarnak = f#ck No , or more politely absolutely not. The other variation is Ben non callise. Fun fact French-Canadian doesn't have a direct translation for f#ck.

I had opportunities in the past to move to the US but I did not go for them, I think sometimes due to simple inertia. If I had another chance now, I would definitely turn it down. The country south of here is facing dark times. Political polarization started decades ago already with the Tea Party, but now it reached a point when there are forces that have shaken the very trust in the most fundamental aspects of America, the ideas and institutions it was built on and which are still strong and valid. For centuries America was the beacon for freedom and equal rights. Now a large portion of the population is being made believe that the country became deeply corrupt and only a strong man can make things right. As long as people keep their heads in the sand , don't look around and allow things to develop in this dangerous direction (on top of the gun culture, health care, etc), the future of the US looks pretty bleak.

To put things into perspective Tyler, there have been 340 mass shootings in the States so far this year. That's more than one a day and is scarily close to 2 per day. Meanwhile in Canada there's been 2 (which also thankfully no one has died in and 'only' 4 were injured in each though ideally neither of these would have happened either of course). The year in Canada with the highest number of mass shootings ever was 2018 with 7. Since the year 2000, there have been 53 mass shooting in Canada. That means, in less than a year, the US has had more than 6x the amount Canada has had in the last 23 years combined. Almost all of Canada's mass shootings also tend to happen either directly in Toronto or just the GTA in general so, anyone who's worried about that in Canada can live basically anywhere else in the country.\n\nI have no doubt that the vast majority of Americans are at least decent human beings with a fair number of them being amazing people. However, if even 10% of Americans were considered crazy, that's basically the same number of people as the population of Canada. Canada has it's crazy people too of course but the chances of running into one is far less likely and it's much harder for those crazy people to become dangerous because it's harder to get firearms.

Tyler you are oblivious to what happens in the US which is obvious by your reaction I think you should explore more about your own country. It seems to me Canadians know more about US history past and present, your politics, religious zealots, bigotry, racism, the list goes on. By the way the number one cause of death for children in the US is guns you might want to explore that. Going around living in your personal bubble isn't helping you realize the issues in the US and around the world. The best way for change to happen is to vote in people who will work towards it at the local, state and federal level. Everything is not political it's just groups who have pushed it in that direction. The US is not the same country I visited many times years ago. Would I have ever moved there...a resounding NO
2023-07-16 0
NEVER. I live half the year in the Yucatán in Mexico and ALWAYS a DIRECT flight to and from Canada ?? I dont even like risking flying over the USA in case we need to make an emergency stop In the US.

Tabarnak is a Quebecker cuss word. It's derivated from tabernacle. In Quebec, most of our cuss words are taken from what you find in a church building. \nIt's pronounced Tah-barr-nack\n\nEdit: oops, he's researched it directly in the vid! Oh well ?

not using email is not using outdated tech, we do have emails but most people including myself dont like using emails. I prefer talking to a human directly. Besides it was Canada that invented the phone. I am proud of my country's legacy and will stick with the phone. \nSpeaking of outdated technologies, email are outdated. The modern way to comunicate is by text because not only is it easy to read your text like emails but whenever they need comes you can switch to vocal and talk directly and if you want you canturn on your camera and see who you are talking to.... Cant do that with email.

If you ever come to Canada. I know your friend from Canada. He will give you the directions to our home. We would like to welcome you to visit and stay. We welcome everyone. This is not something we promote, it is who we are. It is why we love our Country. \n\nI want to see a video of you travelling to every Canadian Province and Territories. We would welcome you!???❤️

Tyler, thanks for your entertaining and fun videos. My grandfather is a dual citizen but has never renewed his passport or anything and when asked to do so, he outright refuses. He says he hated living there. We live in the Vancouver area of Canada right now. My wife is finishing her registered nursing degree and we are considering moving to washington state, within an hour or so of the Canadian border on temporary work visas (TN1) for a few years. The main reason is the cost of living differences, mostly in housing but a lot of things are cheaper down there too. For example though, the costs of rent or to buy a house in the Vancouver area is insane - 1.5 million is generally a starting point. The cost of a detached house south of the border between Bellingham and Blaine starts around $400,000 ($500,000 CDN). If renting, it's crazy cheaper than here. \n\nThe area we are considering going to is very close to the canadian border, I've never heard of major violence problems in the area. Like one of the other comments you read, we're basically considering moving there to take advantage of a lower cost of living and higher salaries for a bit to try to get ahead. Living in the Vancouver area is such an absolute DRAIN on our finances that it is intolerable. If we didn't move to the US, we'd have to find another place in Canada to go to, but we do like the climate on the coast here. I'd actually just keep commuting to Canada daily to work in Canada since it's so close to the border, and writing the bar exam to be able to practice law in any US state except California, Massachusets, or New York is a pain in the backside to even be able to write it, let alone prepare for it. Just easier for me to keep working here unless we decided to try to make a permanent move somewhere further from the border.\n\nIf we decided to change our minds and apply to stay in the US in the future, there are a lot of the other considerations that other people have raised on top of my own ability to continue as a lawyer. Gun violence in the US is crazy, extreme polarized political views and increasing intolerance against diversity of race, culture, religion, (and while it doesnt affect us directly, it bothers us how LGBTQ people are increasingly targeted with backwards policies and by certain segments of the public), the health care system in canada has it's problems but it's also got it's strong points. We'll never go bankrupt because of a health care issue since we can move back to Canada IF it's ever a problem. Thankfully we are all pretty healthy so it shouldn't be much of a problem for a while at least. And we wouldn't even move there at all if her employment as a nurse doesn't offer health care and better pay than she can obtain here. \n\nOur kids will probably attend post-secondary (college/university) in Canada as dual citizens unless they get a scholarship to a top US school. The costs of post-secondary in Canada appears to be much cheaper than in the US and we have some good colleges/universities that consistently rank high globally.

Hey Tyler...ask the question in reverse...see how many Americans would move to Canada....and I have a question for you, Why should I have to make a choice where I live, directly in response to gun violence and mass shootings, lousy uber expensive health care , discrimination, racism, bigotry, and hatred?...like I said in my 1st post, I lived in Cali. and Arkansas in the mid 80's, as different as environments can be...yet all of the same issues, just some more pronounced than others ( surprisingly, I saw and HEARD a lot more racism in Southern California than I did in Arkansas)....but now, in the 21st Century, the fact that politicians are actively trying (and in a lot of cases succeeding) to return the U.S. to the 1900 ( taking the vote away from minorities, especially blacks and native Americans), making women bend the knee to what men say and want them to do ( the reversal of Roe v Wade, 100% total bans on reproductive rights, and the restrictive, totalitarian, Nazi/fascist bans on the rights to choose who you want to be, how you want to be addressed, LGBTQ people and lifestyles) when I see this, hear the right-wing racist, elitist,MAGA, B.S., I wonder how ANY people in their right minds could want to live in 2023 America, the Land of the Lost !

As far as I’m aware Venezuela can be really dangerous to live in. I might do the same thing if I was born there especially as a woman or someone with children. But even men want to live. Easy to say that you should band together to overtake corruption but harder to do it when your life is directly on the line. I wouldn’t want to lose a father grandfather brother or son even for the sake of my country. This is coming from a Texan. I’ve had illegals do my lawn care and construction. Many are just trying to make a living. They sit outside all day long in the summers by my local post office waiting for people to come by and ask them to work. Cheap prices, too.

Thanks for telling people the truth. People are never told the truth. The Canadian government website is written in simple English and French and is very straight forward and you can apply to come on your own, but people insist in going through agents who are just making money off of them. Please read the website in detail. The government hides nothing on their website. Don't blame the government and try to understand what some of the immigration lawyers and agents are doing to you. If you are not well versed in the English or French language, get someone to help you with the website and application. Stop paying unnecessary money and go directly to the government. The agents and lawyers will be doing exactly what you can do. Not all of them are genuine. The government tells you not to pay people money, come to them. There are refugees sleeping on the pavements. Why come to the country under those conditions. We don't have enough housing right now for people and rents at the condos are very high. A one bedroom apartment in Toronto is about $2,000 plus.

The truth is no matter how difficult a place or country is you will succeed if you sought God’s approval through dreams, inner peace by the holyspirit and or prophesy directly to you or another person. People succeed in these country once they are destined to be in the country.

The non mexicans are fleeing a socialist country that does not work. Guess they are not ever going to Vote as directed. They are counting on the new votes mexicans will potentially provide. Every non compliant vote is going against the grain and pottentially will cause a hic up in the underlying agenda. Its obvious
2023-07-02 0
Complain behind your back hahahahaha so true :). I moved here from the US in 2012 (from the american south where people are usually direct). I have a met a lot of nice people here (I would say like 80% are immigrants as opposed to Canadians) and made friends. It was not easy though :/

Runaway INFLATION and ASSET Bubbles which are the direct results of BoC's mismanagement of monetary policies are the DIRECT THREAT to Canada's Security, Sovereignty, and Independence. \nThe rates must go WAY HIGHER, to fight high inflation from its core, exactly what Paul Volker, Fed/Res chairman did in the US back in the 1980s. \nWe need DEFLATION in this country and not inflation to bring consumer prices down from high real estate prices to food, energy/utilities, and taxes. \n \nAssesst Bubbles which were created by the Bank of Canada must be DEFLATED, if NOT the cost of living will NEVER GO DOWN and it would lead to SERIOUS and DEVASTATING Social, Economic & Political Consequences in Canada for years to come which subsequently would lead to Mass Protests, Riots, Mutiny, Social & Labour Strikes/Unrest, Crimes, Violent Crimes, Organized Crimes, Drugs, Unemployment, Homelessness, Tent cities, Inequality, and Disparity.
2023-06-21 0
Some of these people supported their socialist governments, claiming it couldn't be worse than X previous government. The situation will only get worse as Mexico is headed in that same direction. \nSeems like they never translated Animal Farm to Spanish
2023-06-20 0
This is bang on !! We immigrated in 1967 from England. This country doesn’t resemble the country it once was. I’m working on an escape plan if this government and country’s direction doesn’t change in next few years. Cost of living is insane. Can’t own a home . No work life balance. Taxed to death. No quality of life
2023-06-11 0
Discrimination operates in all directions. Channels and messages like these don’t help with the situation. I can understand why people of European descent are upset as they are being targeted and blamed for all the world’s evils. There is a point where enough is enough and people just need to stop blaming others for their own failures and take some personal responsibility. Fact is in North America, no one wants to look inwards and see their own failures, but rather look out wards to another group of people and blame them. I am so sick of this culture of racism and victim mentality.

Hilarious. Education? LOL. I was born, lived and worked in 5 provinces and can safely say the education is far from world class. Geographically Canada is amazing beyond that, we fall below many many nations in many areas and oh, I've lived in 3 other countries. Most of our problems are directly due to the federal government.

I wonder why? If you can't see the correlation between Trump's failed Coups attempts, his economic war with Venezuela, and the days leading up to the end of Title 42, the Border Patrol stopped 2,400 Venezuelans daily. Trump is directly responsible for them coming: Small list of US sanctions: \n-Citibank froze and closed bank accounts in 2017 \n-Citibank blocked the transfer of 300,000 doses of insulin \n-Euroclear stole 1.65 billion worth of funds that were the payment made for food and medicine \n-Citgo can't send profits home more than 10 billion \n-Wells Fargo canceled payment of 7 million from Brazil to Venezuela for electricity \n-Financial transaction 7 million dollars of dialysis blocked \n-Bank of England withholding 1.2 billion in gold \n-Banks won't lend Venezuela money to drill for oil or mine for gold. Yet they are rich in both. \nReport: U.S. Sanctions Have Killed 40,000 in Venezuela Since 2017. That was pre-pandemic. They have not returned to study the deaths he caused by blocking oil tankers, food, and medicine during a global pandemic.

They have the border prevention system.. they inbed a satelite direct energy weapon communication and voice to skull the migrants to manipulate the ones around them and act angry and lie and call them names and use reverse psychology with lies and as a electromagnet field frequencies communication is wifi, Bluetooth, and is internet gps all around is yelling as if they were God✝️ or something.. and try to blame the innocent.. oh . It's just the united states of America CIA DARPA Gangstalker programs V2K.. they're terrorist

Thank you for the valuable information! Can you please direct me to a recruiting agency that may specialize in marketing and foreigners?
2023-05-22 0
Make no mistake about it and let's not be myopically naive: The VERY reason this is continuing to happen isn't primarily bc of border security (as it is being overwhelmed and understaffed consistently) But rather this is the direct effect that happens when US policy through the CenInt agenda of country destabilization in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 00s in order to allow rights for corporate development of a countries resources and tying that to the US dollar against their own national currency. Never bet against the US DEFINITELY works (as Warren Buffett has stated) but always has strings attached with disastrous kickback results in the future (paraphrasing Noam Chomsky)
2023-05-21 0
Aside from the fact that we need to protect our borders I would like to remind everybody that when I was a child we went into Venezuela as a military force we continue to go through all the South American countries either taking out directly the people that were voted into office and placing our own in there and then exploiting each country and now the Venezuela has come upon corporate entities who are literally starving them so badly that they’re going to the zoo and eating the animals it just seem unjustly criticized because you never hear about that side of it you just assume there’s Mexicans trying to cross the border as usual this is open my eyes
2023-05-20 0
The life boat that is America is sinking. If I was president I would put 50 cal machine guns on the border and issue direct orders to destroy anyone crossing illegally.
