My parents immigrated to this country LEGALLY. It took them years to get permanent residency. These people are not above the law. They should fight for their country with the same passion they’re trying to cross the border illegally. It’s NOT fair to those who waited in line to enter this country LEGALLY.

Why Trump permanently closed the border. Biden open the border back up.

People have been there for days even months, and everyone has the right to come into this country but the process of doing that is a joke and really bad and long process, and that’s the problem they need to fix on how people get here and seek a temporal or permanent stay in the us depending on their situation, that’s how it should be done or at least an attempt to release the tension in the border.

I have a lot of family and Alberta, as well as some in Vancouver and Toronto. Growing up, I always idealized Canada and wanted to move there so bad, despite the fact that I had 1st hand experience with Canadians who often told me the negatives.I tried to move to Vancouver twice, decided It didn't make economical sense for me. Once covid happened, it really made me thankful that I never made a permanent move to Canada. I also have to remember that most of the time I've spent in Canada was during the summer, and I have to remind myself the weather is only that nice for a short amount of time, most of the year you're buried under snow (or rain if you're in Vancouver).

Good job but you compared two different status in 2 different countries... You should have compared Canadian Permanent Residence with UK Permanent Residence not UK visa/sponsor visa etc

Why Would U.S Boarder Military allow this to happen, don't they know that terrorists can enter U S through these influx of undocumented immigrants, I live in UAE and currently planning to fly to US to Live permanently, but I say No that my plans, because Getting a job and Apartment will be very difficult, sincerely Speaking U.S is finished

It never used to be as long as this in the UK, it is because it is congested now, when I came the UK, I came as a student and getting a permanent stay wasn’t as tough as now. You just come without obtaining visa as a visitor. Canada will become like the UK after sometime, for now they want it to be like the UK in terms of being a multicultural and multinational community. As for Scotland they are trying to encourage people to come and settle there.

I've heard sad stories from my fellow Filipino who entered Canada, their hardships following the rules, passing all requirements to enter and then another ridiculous hurdle to apply for permanent Visa.\nOn top of them working 2-3 jobs and paying their taxes while these *illegals* just casually pushing their way through the boarders. ?

I agree with some of your views on Canadian immigration. You mentioned a PR timeline of up to 1 year. That’s what it says in the application process but in reality isn’t always the case. It usually takes much longer esp. if your case file is unique or complex. In order to manage people’s expectations. There’ve been cases where applicants in the express entry process had been in it for over 3 year before receiving their confirmation of permanent residency. It can be a roller coaster journey that you need to be prepared for mentally.

The wage of a miner in the US is $38,000 p.a. and they have to live on site permanently. I'm sure you know all the stuff about employment conditions, healthcare and crime over there but Canada is a different proposition. Work in Oil & Gas in Canada can be good but I remember when the oil price sank and a lot of it became unprofitable, a lot of Aussies were the first to lose their jobs over there and had to come back. The cold will also be another interesting factor. Sincerely wish you the best though and that you end up somewhere where you feel happy. Who knows - it could still be Perth or somewhere in Australia.

What about the people who have legally arrived here and have been waiting for permanent residents for years and years? People who just cross the border will get PR in a year.

Amazing Video. But please I have a question.\nIs there any pathway in both countries for someone who arrive with a TOURIST VISA of three months to reside permanently by any means?

You can thank joe Biden for this garbage happening…\n\nAnyone that is giving these people jobs is complicit and not helping the situation, but making it worse. I say send them all back and make them come through the correct way, if they break entry again then they should be permanently banned from entry forever.\nThat would make them think twice about this garbage
|

Need to start a 0 tolerance policy if you show up to the Mexico boarder looking to immigrate & you try something like this or brake the US laws to get here you will be permanently banned from entering forever.

Actions speak louder than words. \nTheir actions confirm they have no respect for rules/others who’ve been waiting before them in a legal manner, nor for law enforcement or our Country. All who’ve attempted or entered this way need permanently banned from citizenship and immediately deported. \n\nThey’ve displayed the opposite character we’d want here. This is not how my or other families immigrated to earn citizenship. Send them back and keep them on a permanently banned list for breaking our laws, make it clear no benefit of ever trying.

America needs to follow Australia's hardline stance, if you come here illegally you will never permanently settle in Australia.

My journey to permanent citizenship took 5 long hard years of hard work, impeccable record of residency with no issues with any law or law enforcement, slogged through employment at the company who sponsored (much lesser pay). Citizenship took another 5 years of impeccable record. \nPaid taxes since day 1 to Uncle Sam.\n\nOne more thing … People born here have no housing, food or they live in projects.\n\nNow these people walk over the border in Mass and will get free everything. TX is getting inundated with illegal immigrants by the hoards. Shame on Dems for letting this get worse like this.

the united states already allows more immigrants permanent status than the next 4 contenders combined. millions are legally allowed in each year.. millions. national security is not a game, this is the real world.

I arrived to Dallas Texas in 1998 with passport and two kind of visas, l worked hard like a donkey, in 2009 l received my permanent residence. I became a citizen in 2020. Those guys are trying to enter illegally and demanding everything for free: house, food, clothes and money. Ironic !!!!

You're seeing this because George Soros is spending billions to permanently change the US to socialism by bringing in tens of millions of foreigners and shipping them within hours to swing counties and swing states. We couldn't get on an airplane without a mask or the shot. Illegals were shipped without even being tested.

My dad came here undocumented at 15 and he was working at a Cadillac dealership for a year. He saved up and got his first car a Datsun 240z. He ended up getting granted amnesty. He kept working hard and eventually married my mom and brought her over here as a permanent resident. My dad didn't over run the border and he wasn't asking for welfare. My fiances dad has been here 20 years and he hadn't been able to get his permanent residency despite his wife being a permanent resident. He pays his taxes with his itin and does the right thing besides being here undocumented. I think they won't legalize him because he pays his taxes. If he stopped they'll probably legalize him because to the government all they care about is your money.

If Canada wants to boost immigration. Allow permanent residents to join the armed forces. And be truly multi-cultural. \nWouldn’t it make sense for the olive branch?

I mean, isn't this clear cut in most countries? Illegal migrants should be sent back right away. To deter this, second time maybe 2 weeks in jail, then deport.\nI'm sorry but we spent about 7 years getting to be residents and then citizens. We had to go through interviews, in depth medical tests/hostory, financial and education or skilled trade scrutiny, so we are a net benefit to Canadian society. Some also spend tens of thousands, sometimes their life savings, on the fees and paperwork, which also takes years.\nRefugees from war, etc are different, but if you just feel like it's a better life and opportunity, there are official channels to apply to be a permanent resident.

Send them back. I came to canada in 2017 as an international student, paid shit tons of money for housing, tuition fees. Worked full time after graduation, yet my immigration process is taking long. Evey step I took went through proper screening, and yet it's taking forever. Send them back. At this point theres no gurantee for people like me to get permanent residence over here. With all the back logs etc. So why should they be granted status, while my work permit expires in 6 months and immigration officers wont bother to answer my phone calls for extension. I have paid my taxes, I have obeyed the law. I'm a law abiding citizen. At this point, I'm even thinking of going back. This country wants new talents and more people to add to their workforce. But if they treat people like me like this. Then we might as well go back.

Of course they feel safe and super secure here in Canada because the govt will provide them everything, food, shelter and the monthly financial allowances. On the other hand, Canadian govt is getting credit and be known as the best humanitarian country in the world with the expense of its citizens working hard to earn a living. I am just voicing my sentiments here coz it took me 10 years before I am reunited with my family here. I was a nurse back home and in UAE entered here as caregiver. Before get back to my profession, I underwent many struggles and hardship. And still striving to live a comfortable life since everything is expensive now a days and govt seems no care to its citizens. instead, looking after of their world image. And I know a lot of people spending thousand of dollars for student visas to to enter legally here with their family back home financially drown with debts. And Some working visa still waiting for years get their open permit and Permanent res up now.

Hello, I am applying for my parents Visa and I am a Permanent Resident Of Canada. @ 6.31 - For why are you applying for a Visa ? Should I select the option above what you have selected ? i.e To visit my grandparent, grandchild, sibling, halfsibling, step sibling or non dependant child who is a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada's Indian act or permanent resident of Canada.

The only way to reduce the number of inmigrants is transfer knowledge (education) to Latin America (origen of most of inmigrants in USA/Canada). Our people usually vote for populist politicians due to its extreme ignorance. And populist politicians usually have only primary education. They keep our countries permanently under poverty.

Why Trump close the border permanently and not give a crap about the foreigners. He even said let’s focus on our American people not other countries.

They should stop this.. As canada has got robust immigration policy..how about people like us who are working here waiting for permanent residency..this govt is useless ..these people come here n starts doing cash job’s..I hope they stop it

If these people are coming to Canada thinking this is a land that while give them opportunity and a better future, while the people already here think the opposite, Then the government needs to find a pathway to let them stay permanently. The goverment already want 1.5 million immigrants here in the next few years anyway. So i dont see the problem.

Every single person that was in that crowd of people trying to bust their way through, should be permanently banned from ever entering the U.S.A.\nMy heart breaks for these people but you MUST follow our laws.

Simple Solution! \n#1. Canada and the US both need to stop illegals crossing the Border in either direction. \n#2. The US HAS TO stop everyone crossing the Border with Mexico NOW!!! Close the damn southern border permanently\n and do not allow any one across to America!!!\n#3. Gather all illegals in America and transport them back to Mexico and tell Mexico they must deal with them and send \n them all back to their Home Country!!!\n\nENOUGH IS ENOUGH, before America is in ruin from these Foreign Invaders!!!\n(Drugs, Gun Runners, Human Trafficking, etc.)

I'm born and raised in Canada and I've been trying to leave permanently for years now. I just don't have good support from my husband who works abroad and barely spends time in Canada anyways. Canada is beautiful and clean yes but the racism is too much too much, the cold is too much and I deal with depression because of living here. You mentioned boredom but oh my gosh the boredom is overwhelming especially in Alberta. The only way to cope is to travel for months at a time but at the end of the day you always have to come back. I'm highly considering just taking off and just doing me

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.

Full time and part time employees are entitled to 4 weeks vacation here in Australia, I don’t know anyone who only gets 4 tho, most get 5 to 6. Also, theres Medicare for all permanent residents and citizens; 18 weeks maternity leave— 3 months paid. There are 12 public holidays and just Far Less Crime. When people ask me if I miss “home”… I share that I miss good and easy access to stuff… but friends can visit me here, and I’ll pay extra for the things I enjoy to be mailed. The only major thing is as a black girl getting my hair done… lordddd ?. \n\nI’ve lived in Cambodia, Thailand, Spain and Gibraltar traveling solo. The more I traveled safer I felt despite never feeling too unsafe in the states when I lived there, I did when I traveled across country at times. It took me some time to feel into this new level of “ahhhhh this is what safety feels like!! Mom, come feel this! U can go for a walk at 2am!”\n\nWould never move back, but I’m grateful my roots are from there.

This sounds pretty much what Sweden is like except for the online and internet services. Have you tried finding a place to live in Stockholm? Systematic racism exists here as well. Right-wing government taking away permanent residence permits from those who have for years lived and worked in Sweden. There's a huge bedbug infestation in many apartment buildings all over the city, 11 500 Swedish Kr for 18 square meters, and private landlords taking advantage of tenants both in prices and conditions. When a dark-haired tenant moves in, some one will eventually report that there are strange people walking in and out of a certain apartment, a blunt prejudice towards Arabic and African-looking individuals regardless of their nationality, meaning Swedes with different heritage. \nIt sounds like the whole world is on the same beat. \nSorry, but as a Canadian in Stockholm, I would rather suffer back home than in a swedish system where neighbours avoid meeting other neighbours and indifference is everywhere.

The real question is: Why do you need to send your kid to Canada ? When you are willing to spend between $30000 - $40000 (24 lakh to 32 lakh) you could send your child to the best school/University in India. \nThe answer is: Greed. Don't wrap and hide your greed under poverty and helplessness and dreams. You dream of permanent residency, big houses, cars and White girls. That's the whole truth.
