I have friends from india they did there best to integrate and have similar values to other canadians. Indian food is my favorite but too many people come here and dont want to adapt or adopt canadian values they stay in the community they are most fammilar with and retain values that arent in line with canadian values if you plan on living here get to know the locals and we will treat you well canadas a melting pot come chill with us we got good cocaine and shit

My son and I just left Canada. He was born there, and I had been there for 44 years It’s too much to take now in Vancouver/Surrey. It was beautiful in the 80's and mid 90's but everything started to go downhill after that. It's really sad to leave, but that's how the government have treated their citizens.

I’m a Korean American who has lived here my entire life since birth. I have lived in many other places and the thing about immigrants is they ALWAYS share the same traits wherever they go. \nI live in an affluent area and whenever the immigrants from poor countries come in they all do the same things…throw trash and litter everywhere, the attitude of “I made it just like you therefore I deserved to be treated like a king”..telling them to turn down the music at 2am and not understanding why so instead you are met with argumentative resistance instead of them just saying “hey we’re sorry won’t happen again, we don’t want to be that guy in this neighborhood. Our apologies” but nope. They continue to do it night after night and the audacity to even get angry. The crowding of all of their families in disrepspectful ways such as cutting in line while everyone else is patiently waiting, if there is free samples of food, they will group up and annihilate whatever they are offering not even caring about anyone else but their own. Leaving a very bad image for us East Asians when people from the red flag dragon nation come in droves. Being extremely loud in public while talking about petty nonsensical things most times but they yell and laugh not caring whoever else is around. Even if the room is quiet they have zero situational awareness, never putting things back when they grab them from stores or gym etc. they expect someone to pickup and do this for them. The entitlement ?….if something is on sale they don’t understand to take just one or two, they have to take the entire box so no one else can get it. \nI his list never ends and they don’t understand why people don’t want them living in their countries. It’s not just Germany it’s everywhere. \nHow do you expect people to like you when you make it difficult to do so.

Germany, Its wants to stay as an economic super power, at the same time it doesn’t want people, as mentioned by Afd leader. Let their politicians decide what they want first. I live in Scotland for last 5 years, moved here because I was tired of India. Its corruption, polarized politics, and also how people behave. I have been welcomed by the Scots here, treated with respect and made many Scottish friends and know families who are some of the kindest warm people you will meet. \nI also know lots of Indians who are well behaved and good residents of Scotland. But sometimes I see Indians who simply take advantage of the Scottish hospitality. These Indian abuse the honor system to the point that it has become less prevalent. I once seen some north Indian guy singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs to a white girl when on the sidewalk in a manner that can be called eve testing, that made my blood boil. I absolutely hate it and avoid some Indians unless I personally know them. Being and Indian I dont want to be associated with Indians abroad because these 1-2% Indians have given the rest of us a bad name.

I mean I love both Canada and Indians but I have been scammed and mistreated by Indian employers before, I felt specially treasoned because it was a Sikh person who treated me wrongly

I dont think its some - it is many. Infact many arrive Germany, only to plan a later migration to a better place. Lack of local inclusion by the Germans above the language challenges are some of the factors; including challenging accomodation situations, bureaucracy, living away from one's elders & extended family and even the so called 3rd world countries providing a better personal life over just professional life - are leading many to contemplate leaving Germany. Oh not forgetting that the skilled professionls only enable the largely retiring Germans get their pensions, however they get treated worser than the ones living primarily on social support.

I am a spaniard living in Austria and can relate. People are a bit more relaxed than germans but still they treat you different, they prefer native german speakers for every job and they will never accept you. Almost impossible to make local friends so you end up living in an international bubble. People are also always grumpy. Psychological it can be hard to live in these countries. In my opinion, they will always be racists and that is something very hard to change.

I moved to Germany 5 years ago presently I have a skilled job offer from last 3 months just waiting for the Immigration Office to change my employer name from 2 months.This is Germany they want you but they don’t help you ! I have a job offer but I am unemployed because of the bureaucracy! No one helps and very slow paced work culture specifically in the government sector plus if you’re a people of colour you are treated like you don’t belong here !

One year ago i moved to germany from Italy as a doctor and i already wanna leave. Because the taxes are very high half of my salary goes to the state and the service quality is relatively bad for everything i need an appointment and wait for weeks to get it done.more problematic is the discrimination. Even tho my qualifications are higher than an average german doctor i dont get treated equally i dont get what my colleges get. So overall its a disappointment for me and i m looking for my next country ?any suggestions?

There’s no skilled labor shortage in Germany. Everyone needs to be mindful when they leave their country to go inhabit another. Be mindful of their customs and leave your racism and hatred in your old country. People are moving to countries on the continent of Africa and Asian countries and they are bringing their old mindset with them. There is no room for that ignorance. Stop trying to change their culture or stop them from doing what they have done for centuries because you don't like it. There are alot of videos popping up complaining about Americans, British and Canadians treating locals poorly. Well, I am leaving, yes. Although I am very grateful with Germany, I work in IT, and I don't hold a diploma, but I have more than 20 years of experience in the field, I always been offered jobs beneath my experience, only because of a paper. I am Italian and was very enthusiastic when I arrive 4 years ago, but the way I was treated was mostly bad, that led me not wanting to study the language anymore, people were so agressive in the streets. When I needed the back of the justice, it was never on my favour, even when I was right, as I was hit in the street by a stranger who made my face bleed, police said that it was nothing and that it was the opposite, even when they had evidence. I was mistreated at a hospital in Schwabing, München and medical attention was refused, police didn't help and they requested my to litereally scream for help, and I did because I was bleeding on a place I didn't know, with -4 degrees, without any jacket. I even tried with the discrimination line, which doesn't work, and if you write them an Email, they will say they cannot help. I Will never understand that level of cruelty, not to mention 5000 Euros I had to pay for a ticket, because I suppousedly scratch the car of a person and because my Kaution was never returned, tried, but never got a lawyer, because you need to pay for the air you breathe in this country. ARD, what is that? You pay for the right of internet, and you pay internet as well, the desorganization with the states is massive, and often times, you will get a letter in your box post having to pay somehting else. My energy and money was completely drained. I just had it. Despite of everything, this country tought me great things, like discpline and hard work which I really appreciate and will take this knowledge...somewhere else. I also became better human being as a result of being exposed to all of the bad things. But I am isolated case, not everyone goes through these things, I did, and to me it was more than enough to wanting to Auf Wiedersehen. Unfortunaly Germany prefers to keep people who did not come to the country to add something, crazy as it seems, they would allow more people who rape, do not respect their culture and commit other crimes, instead of really welcoming people who came here to have a better life. As an Indian, who is the highest income earning ethnicity in Germany like USA.. Yes I can say that people are good as I have many German friends and some directly judge me as per my face and clothes to look cool n all(but yes they respect us). And not only Germans but also other people from Western countries and Korea, Japan, Indonesia and some treat us differently. They say that we are talented people but have that old stereotype in them which I can read on many people's faces as soon as I see them. but I don't care. \n Apart from that, Germany has slow bureaucracy, long waiting times, no adjustments nd easy to go like us, canceled trains,less digital infra., and a language barrier. I work as a highly skilled professional in a Supply chain with so-so pay.

The official business in canada and police station are a joke i just last week went to get a criminal check to do uber and i oaid 250$ just to get a criminal check background but thats not all the way i was treated from the workers was dissturbing been living in this countru for over 14 years and never i have felt that type of discrimination as i did at york region police checks . Just disgusting and planing to move to the usa asap

I was born and raised in Canada, 3rd gen on my Dad's side and 2nd gen on my Mom's side. I'm retired and would move abroad, but am impoverished now. Canada is a tragedy that is still happening. There are no good reasons why we are where we are now. This country has very little resemblance to the Canada I grew up in. It's a disgrace, and it's still getting worse. I agree with you on the demise of Canada, too much crime and no accountability from the justice system. Trans, DEI and affirmative action policies of both the government and some major corporations are legalizing racism and discrimination. People should be treated all equal but that is not the case anymore. Toronto a few years back dropped the standards for Police and Firefighters. If your house is on fire do you want a rescuer who is 70% competent of one that is 100% competent. Canada trump all human rights for a few human rights.

I had the same issues as an expat in other countries and other expats who I talked to too. It's always the same.\n\nLanguage barrier:\nFor day to day activities it's less of a problem in bigger cities. For most jobs you simply need a higher level of a language for team work. If you're motivated I believe you can get to C1 in 6 months, with good learning techniques. That said you're probably not motivated. Learning a new language feels like hard work and you feel awkward speaking it.\n\nHard to meet friends:\nSame for all other countries. Create your own social circles or try sports, similar interests to get to know people. \n\nHow people treat you:\nIf you feel unwelcome, it's probably just all in your head because you're not accustomed to a different culture, so you feel like a foreigner. Got nothing to do with Germany, but with being an expat. \n\nRacism:\nProbably less of a problem in western Germany and bigger cities. Avoid east Germany. Also see previous point.

After my Msc i left immediately. Illegals were treated like kings while we were treated like trash. No incentive at all. Leaving was my best decision. Most of my colleges left as well.

I mean, you come to a country and you have to adjust and learn the language. Pretty straightforward, and most of us are doing it.\n\nBut when on the other side you have people who do not understand the effort and have no patience for it, it is a frustrating experience. It is also annoying that you know they need you here, they know they need you, but none of that is reflected in the way people coming in are treated.\n\nA lot of us also come with skills and accomplishments behind us. And then we need to play fish-out-of-water for a while, speak a language in which we know we sound incompetent and we can see someone underestimating us (because they lack the understanding of what our situation brings). And last but not least, a serious problem with patience and empathy.\n\nThese are all issues you will find in other countries too. But man, Germans are not good at dealing with it. And more and more it seems to me they do not even care (other than the few german friends I have, who always make me second guess my generalisation).

It is fairly simple. If you want to compete with the US and Australia for skilled immigrants, switch to the default language of the world. Else, compete with dying economies like France and Japan.\nStop treating top talents like asylum seekers.
