Wow, yeah, open borders means less to go around. Who could have predicted that?
2024-01-11 0
Yeah. I am looking at becoming an expat. This place is a disaster.

“Yeah we’re just gonna watch what happens and do nothing” -basically

We loved and still love Toronto, and we miss certain aspects of living there. But yeah we did the math and it just didn't work out in our favor to stay there anymore. We looked at my hometown (San Diego, California) and my wife's (Calgary), and went with Calgary. Just put in an offer on an inner-city townhouse in Calgary that would be at least double the price in Toronto. Like I said though, I still miss Toronto a lot.

Why try to choose life and prosper, when you can choose to keep being violent and bloodthirsty? Yeah....make sense!

Yeah job security is an important factor I think those of us who are in IT and have been 'sacked' as someone here in another comment mentioned feel the brunt when you know that Canadian companies are looking elsewhere for cheaper labor. I think it's after something like this happens when you really think about things such as Unions and the seemingly open door to qualified immigrants who would take a lower paid job just to get a foot in the door. Hey, it happened to me many years ago so why would it be different. Interesting times indeed.
2024-01-10 0
yeah, choose an islamic country :))))))
2024-01-09 0
Yeah thanks to this President we got in office today has f*** this whole country bringing all these immigrants here in this country he has to get out of f****** office f****** this country up

2024-01-08 0
Yeah yeah right, Palestinians worth more than Yemenis, of course...
2024-01-08 0
What’s with the free Palestine cap? Oh I get it, yeah it’s a horrible situation all around. For the Israelis and the Palestinians.
2024-01-08 0
Yeah but who wants to live in calgary or Edmonton??? so cold and you're isolated. Too far from the rest of the world. Very depressing. Good luck trying to keep yourself mentally balanced
2024-01-08 0
This is all true. It's impossible for most people to buy a home now, especially with Chinese and Ruzzian money laundering in the housing market driving prices out of touch with reality. The health care system should change its name to human plumbing operations department so people don't get too optimistic about their chances of survival. Food is unbelievably expensive and booze and cannabis are true luxuries, but necessities in such a depressing society. A hockey game, our pastime, will cost you two days pay for an average salary. Traveling, from local transit to airline, is double any other country I've been to. What's missing? Oh yeah, Winter!
2024-01-07 0
Yeah….a billionaire dictator doesn’t really care….shocker
2024-01-07 0
Yeah but still, they aren't even giving them the option to enter their countries. Smooth redirect though.
2024-01-07 0
Yeah, he's correct, also Palestine is a country of both Arabs & Jews. How is Arabs accountable for that?
2024-01-06 0
yeah im leaving europe and go live in Africa, its almost empty. so all space for me.
2024-01-05 0
Yeah... In reality they just don't want to have anything to do with the Palestinians

I am indonesian, but i’ve lived in Japan and the US for study purpose, and i relate to your experience. Eventhough i had a strong moslem community when i was in Japan/US, and halal food was accessible there, i was still feeling uncomfortable that as a moslem i couldn’t express my identity freely. Whenever i wanted to go for a roadtrip or place outside of my city, i need to search if halal food was available in there or not, while in Indonesia i don’t have to worry about halal food, almost all food are halal, the restaurant usually inform us if their are not halal. Another experience is that in non-moslem country, they didn’t provide many prayer rooms or mosques, that’s also sickening for me. I mean i don’t mind to pray in a random parking lot, or in a park, or in an emergency stairs, or in changing room in mall, or any random places; but i really missed my country where prayer room is available anywhere, you can find prayer room in gas station, in a restaurant, in the mall, in airport/bus station/train station, etc. Also mosques are everywhere too. You are easily going to find mosque after walking around 200m, well yeah there is a reason why Indonesia is a country with the most number of mosques in the world. Another thing is islamic class. When i was in Japan, i could only join an islamic class where people gather to listen from syeikh (or we call it as “pengajian”) once in every other months, in the US was better, mosque in mu place held islamic class every other day. However, in Indonesia, islamic classes are everywhere, it’s like every mosque held their own class, until to the point that i am confused what should i follow because there are so many options ?. The last is that, in moslem country or at least in my country, finding moslems outfit is very easy. So yeah, overall, i prefer to live in moslem countries. Alhamdulillah i was born in moslem country, and alhamdulillah my country’s situasion, eventho not perfect, is peacefull.

yeah go away
2024-01-02 0
True & Honest. You based it in a good higher ratio of salary & still fairly calculated disaster. Imagine if an average working class making only $ 35-40k per year single person. This is majority of single immigrants. Below poverty but no other choice but to keep going. \nRetired here & achieved good career but as soon you reach 65/ pensioner , Canada put you on poverty level receiving $1,700 / a month ( based on working full time for 35 years ) no private company pension. Luckily I have private company pension but still considered on poverty level as senior. \nDifferent story if you saved money etc rrsp… yeah right lol \nGo figure if you’re renting or have fully paid condo / house… can’t afford maintenance fee, bills etc. \nended up selling the place. Lol back to poverty level. ?

I’m surprised that you said Dubai. Dubai doesn’t even let you protest for Palestine and it’s full of LGBTQ agendas plus they are shaking hands with zionists and it’s materialistic. Not sure how this is your top choice unless you want to make money for being influencers then yeah, go ahead.
2023-12-31 0
Yeah but it doesn’t seem like the majority of Muslim country’s are willing to accept refugees the ones who do want to leave. They are scared they will be infiltrated by Hamas.
2023-12-30 0

Oh yeah, I can't take the cold in ohio. I go to texas for the winter. Although that has its negatives too. Good for you and your adventurous spirits to take the big step to move. I myself have always wanted to move to Scotland. Enjoy. Can't wait to see where you end up.

Canada has a massive hypocrisy that counters their 'inclusive' image. They are in fact more exclusive than most places, and extremely elitist, and discriminatory. Their immigration does not help matters by having a system that is SO insanely classist, that really only rich people can enter, and even then, it may not be enough. I read about a millionaire that was rejected entry, because they had a deaf child! Can you imagine?? So they are also extremely ableist as well, and lacking logic, as a millionaire can obviously afford their own child's medical care, and what does it matter anyway when Canada is supposed to have national health coverage?? So nuts. Yeah, they don't want to own that. They just love to call out the USA, whose immigration rules are FAR more lax than Canada's, or really most countries for that matter. Most people are totally ignorant about how the USA system actually works. Anyone can move to the USA. We let TOO MANY people in. Canada only wants young, rich, successful people to enter their country. Everyone else can just drop dead for all they care, and hey, with the laws about 'voluntary life ending', and how they are grossly encouraging that now for anyone who may be old, depressed, or otherwise 'expendable', what do we expect?
2023-12-25 0
I think it's clear, from the comments, that the problem is similar for all developed nations and the reason is immigrants from developing countries. It is also clear that most people who see this problem hate anything socialist or communist so... yeah. I don't think it's a coincidence the two ideas, the problem is immigration and the problem is socialism, are forming a clear pattern.
2023-12-24 0
It blows my mind at how ignorant some of the comments here are. Maybe you should look up the Lebanese Civil War and Jordanian Civil War aka Black September and educate yourselves about actual history as to why none of those countries will take them in. Yeah the Palestinian people shouldn't have to be refugees but this also illustrates that Hamas never had the best interest of the Palestinian people to begin with. It's a propaganda war, and some of you are too dumb to actually believe it without educating yourselves on the pertinent historical facts. Hamas intended for this outcome because they knew Israel would retaliate with brutality to obliterate Hamas and the Palestinians would gain sympathy for their plight--isn't this obvious? Not to mention, half the comments aren't even written in proper English and I can't even understand them. No wonder only 6.8% of the world is educated with the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree--it definitely shows and it's embarrassing.
2023-12-24 0
Yeah makes alot more sense for the weight to be lifted by Europe
2023-12-24 0
Yeah maybe they shouldn't shoot Rockets into somebody else's land
2023-12-24 0
oh yeah? the territory was originally populated by jews, then christians. islam conquered that territory and got rid of most jews and christians. now a new conquest has happened and muslims right to hold that territory is being challenged. but if we are discussing territorial rights by genes and religion than jews have the obvious right to that territory.
2023-12-24 0
Oh yeah, in the meantime europe is footing bills for corrupt ukraine
2023-12-23 0
Their land? Yeah, i don't think so.
2023-12-23 0
