Secondly racism is not a word because there is only one race which is the human race. Strangers are flooding the country by millions that should be more than enough to depart from Canada. Those strangers most of them will stay on welfare enjoying taxes from workers under Trudeau dictatorship ?

I am 63 born and raised in Canada all my life and can honestly say that I have never been as embarrassed to be a Canadian since the pandemic where we let millions of immigrants come here take our jobs (with government subsidies) abuse of our free medicare system and have all their family members abuse it. They made housing unaffordable, impose their laws and religion and show total disrespect for Canadian culture. We lost this country to immigrants and corrupt government led by the worst PM in CDN history. Democracy has been replaced by a totalitarian state which has no respect for citizens rights...unless your an immigrant.

How bloody well DARE they! Arrest them, revoke their citizenship and DEPORT THEM! The UK, every town, village and city, every RIGHTFUL citizen has the sovereign right to move freely in their own country!!! Middle eastern countries wouldn't tolerate interference of this nature, WHY SHOULD BRITS??? Implode their damnable mosques, rid UK of the pox of islam. I hope the grass is greener wherever you decide to land (unfortunately I somehow doubt it...your next destination will have inherent challenges of its own). I would also forewarn you that you can't simply emigrate anywhere you want. Most countries have highly restrictive immigration policies (Canada is very much an outlier on this). And very few countries fully respect human rights, including freedom of expression (especially for women). Be careful what you wish for (even if I agree with a couple of your criticisms). I am not Muslim, Christian by tradition, not religious. I am an immigrant in the U.K. for over 30 years and this is my pint of view… One common remarkable characteristic of us, all immigrants, is the fact that we will always criticise the country we are living in, due to the fact that we will always miss our origins, no matter how good or bad both countries are, and most of us subconsciously live our lives waiting for that settlement of living in the perfect place, ideally our original place of birth with all the positives according to the way we think, act and believe. You are a young couple with strong opinions, who will only find the right path for your family by living the experiences, and learning from them. At some point in our lives, reality always kicks in. if not for covid I would likely have left myself by now. Trudeau has made living here unbearable, I never seen a PM hate his own people as much as this clown. I'm born Canadian and at least from my mom's side at least 5 generation. Dad was immigrant from Barbados. Somehow Trudeau has been able to triple our debt owed yet everything has gotten worse in this country. Unfortunately I lost my job during Covid and ended up spending most of my savings and retirement. So having to start from ground zero again which is infuriating. I would SOOOO love to be living in somewhere in south east asia right now Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, etc.

People are leaving everywhere to go somewhere increasingly , it seems. Whilst I respect individuals rights to pursue a life in another country , if they are unhappy in their present life...I feel many are missing the point. The majority of countries , face the same problems . It is a global economy and there is no escape from global warming , economic crises and mass immigration, which are common problems in most (if not all) western democracies. Until there are global solutions to deal with these problems , these problems will continue to exist wherever you go.

True & Honest. You based it in a good higher ratio of salary & still fairly calculated disaster. Imagine if an average working class making only $ 35-40k per year single person. This is majority of single immigrants. Below poverty but no other choice but to keep going. \nRetired here & achieved good career but as soon you reach 65/ pensioner , Canada put you on poverty level receiving $1,700 / a month ( based on working full time for 35 years ) no private company pension. You're not exactly right. \nMost of us as immigrants come from 3rd world countries and ?? is a better option when planning to migrate. Europe has a rigid / obsolete immigrantion system. Canada is using immigrants to fill low income jobs. The us is doing the same right now. As well as trying to get migrants to move north to mexico to fill new manufacturing jobs being moved from china.

Failing , that’s the right word. Canada keeps taking new immigrants ( mostly undocumented & refugees) over staying tourists. Not deporting. Lack of affordable housing/ apartments. Cost of living is too high & taxes. Minimum wage don’t match reality. Highly educated or degree holders are great & still don’t appreciate how lucky they are. No matter how successful & achieved a good job professionally when you retire, they put you back below poverty as senior. Max government pension is about $1,600 . How can you afford decently & independently to live alone. Not enough to rent a bachelor apartment. Government housing nowadays gives priorities to new / refugees / non documented immigrants than real average Canadian citizen who works hard for years. Long waiting lists for affordable housing Thank God & to myself alone , I started early & fought for my well deserved affordable housing after I retired otherwise, no way I cannot live decently as a senior like others who didn’t contribute much during their early years to the government. Give priority to our own Canadian citizen regardless of their ethnicity before giving to new undocumented immigrants. \n?❤️??

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

Assalamu’alaikum. Please check out Brunei Darussalam. I’m not saying that there are only pros but I think they do outweigh the cons. It’s similar to Malaysia in many aspects in terms of official religion i.e. Islam, language I.e. Malay (English is widely spoken though), culture, etc. It has very low crime rate so it’s very safe. I’m not sure about the immigration laws but you can easily check it out. I strongly believe it’s worth your while to check it out if you haven’t. Hope to see you here! Delays in immigration? ya right they are flooding Canada with millions a year

As a born and raised Canadian of immigrant parents, i have definitely noticed the increasing influx of people leaving this country in recent months. This issue has popping up more in the news, just around this year. Canada needs immigrants, thats true for the long term it will benefit the country, but right now its more of the drawbacks that are manifesting. Accepting More immigrants means that more resources are needed, that means and so many tax paid social services and benefits like housing, healthcare, welfare, citizenship applications, waitlists, wait times, lineups, everything is getting longer and pushed back. I get what everyone feels.

Omg, this is exactly the video I needed! I've lived my whole life in America, but my parents immigrated, so sometimes I feel guilty about wanting to leave. I really want to live in a Muslim country, and being from NYC, I love the city so Dubai is the only option I can think of. But I feel like Dubai has changed, I want a place more Islamic. My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

Is there ANYTHING in Canada that isn't broken right now ? I feel for the Police and Immigration officials trying to process so many people, but the tide of negativity from so many Canadians on YT is incredible. We are faced with many of the same problems here in Australia, particularly on our East Coast, but I don't see the exodus of people who were born here. Interesting times ahead.

Exactly what you are describing ie crime, unemployment, broken infrastructure, is the same across tge West. There are left wing governments right across the West the US, Canada, UK, EU are dystopian left wing nightmares. They have huge numbers of uneducated immigrants or qualified people where there are no jobs available, massive welfare programs which are unfunded, weak social laws which allows criminals back onto the streets. Thet dont spend on necessary infrastucture ie transport because they are basically broke.\nThere is so much more to why Canada, like the US, have been turned into a new 3rd world, a middle ages style economy with shirtages if everything, restrictions on what you can do or say!

Excellent video. I am a 29 years old Canadian with high education. I make 125K/year and yet after 2-3 years of looking actively I still can't manage to buy a house near the city as a first time buyer. I made many offers but lost every time. The demand is so high and the offer so low that many people bid way above the asking price even though the prices are sky high. Most of those people sold their previous house for a lot more than they bought it many years ago and therefore, are able to do so. First time buyers like myself don't have this advantage and the ones with lower salaries might never have the chance to have a house except if they move far from the city. Our government does not slow down on immigration because there is a labor shortage due to the older generation retiring but they don't build enough houses and allowed foreign investors for too long which results in the housing crisis we are currently in. My father bought a decent house near the city for the equivalent of 2 years of his gross salary at the time... Now the equivalent is more than 4-5 times my gross salary even though I make more than him at the time (taking inflation into account). Our healthcare and education systems are falling apart as well. Both are currently on strike in the province I live in due to terrible work conditions and salaries from our government. The cost of living has increased considerably in the last few years as well, especially the food even though the companies are making record net profits this year. Yeah... Canada is not doing well right now.

If you can't immigrate out of Canada consider learning to sail with the idea of buying a sailboat and sail around the world. You might find the right place to settle and fight like hell to stay there. I met a Canadian couple in NZ who did just that. \n\nRemember to turn the lights off when you leave!

It's astonishing to see so many Canadians voicing serious complaints about their country. More to hear complaints coming from immigrants who then left Canada in disgust and found better lives elsewhere is even more astonishing.\n Yet I warn everyone else. It's okay for Canadians to complain about their own country. They have every right. As for immigrants or immigrants who left Canada, well, they were there and experienced the downside, so they have legitimacy.\n But for any other non-Canadian, including me, keep our mouths shut and say nothing. This isn't meant to be racist or anti immigrant, but i must point out that this entire situation you're describing is worse for Canadian born Canadians that don't have roots anywhere else. About 50 years ago, the recently deceased Henry Kissinger went to China at the behest of David Rockefeller to open up manufacturing in the country and to use US construction firms to build China into a modern society with modern infrastructure. They also took all of the manufacturing sectors that were created, perfected and relied upon by the North Americans and handed them over to foreign countries they were developing into the modern economic powerhouses they are now. \nNow that we're poor and have no manufacturing sectors to sustain a healthy middle class anymore, we welcome people from the countries who received our manufacturing sectors and have prospered greatly from it to our countries where they continue to make things here economically worse by making us compete with nouveau rich foreigners for our limited housing and infrastructure. Again, im not blaming the average citizen, North American or not. I am strictly blaming billionaires who think they have the right to control the world for their own benefit. But at least you have an economically rising country that is affordable to live in that you can retreat to at anytime. People with only a Canadian passport do not have that option.

Canada is not particularly unique. It’s exactly the same as what’s been happening in most “prosperous” nations such as the UK, US, Australia etc. They’ve become oligopolies and it’s only the very rich that just get richer. It’s got NOTHING to do with immigration, which is what right wing regressives want you to think.

These problems have gotten a lot worse in the last 8 years. I think the main issue is immigration. We are bringing in more people than what we can deal with. I am not against immigration, but just like all the other things the current federal government has done, they are doing immigration wrong. They think immigration is good, so tthey open the hose fully to bring in as many as possible. This is a bad strategy. They should be bringing in a lot less immigrants and that would lessen the housing issues. I think that this is destabilizing our economy to the point where it could have a dire outlook on Canada. I wouldn't be surprised if some provinces leave confederation. What we need is a balanced approach to all things governmental. Not a LEFT or RIGHT solution, a BALANCED CENTRIC solution. Time to vote differntly.

This is not entirely true. Houses are available in many smaller cities and towns from Alberta to Manitoba. Lethbridge and medicine hat, both small cities in Alberta have good houses in the $200 k range. If people want to move there then they will attract infrastructure like roads and rail connections. But right now all immigrants are going to Toronto area, which is putting strain on services and housing.

as an Immigrant, I'm done immigrating for now but I get taxed net net around 45% + HST + Carbon tax + Property taxes, for all these taxes, I get really not much back. I don't qualify for most services, I don't get dental, I don't need many either, but it is putting a lot of pressure on my entrepreneurship aspirations. The healthcare is truly atrocious and still need to fly for medical appointments by good doctors since doctors here are dumber for some reason. If you want to be an entrepreneur who owns a house, Canada is not your place right now. Worst of all is the culture, highly highly introverted in a bad way, cold people, bad social skills, boring conversations and everyone seems to be high on weed. I am glad you have found something to do as a hobby but if you were in the USA you would have 4X the disposable income (and I think we all would still be complaining).

Most of this is accurate, except there are plenty of homes in Canada under $400 000. The problem is with the higher rates and stress test (which is another huge factor as to why people are leaving) it's difficult to be approved for enough to even purchase a cheap home. Also the competition for cheaper homes is brutal. Even with an income over $70 000 a year your looking at maybe being approved for $270 000 right now. Not many livable houses for that price in Ontario near jobs. Canada is not the same place anymore. Another problem is wages going down or becoming stagnant due to immigration. I have personally seen both security and the trucking industries nearly destroyed because of this. When entry level and mid-range trained jobs aren't making the wage you need to live, you don't have many choices but to go somewhere you can afford.

Is there any Indian with the courage to bring a camera phone to the US embassy? For instance, in the stages of the H1B or F1 Visa process (USCIS, Visa interview, and Port of entry at a US airport), your application might be rejected without any explanation, leaving you with no opportunity to inquire with the US immigration department. However, when dealing with our Indian Embassy or Immigration, individuals have the right to question and demand reasons. what a pathetic person you are?

Bringing talent from around the world is NOT the root cause of the housing crisis. \n\nOther variables such as increased taxes, lack of policy around banking rules, lack of goverment grants/funding for businesses (coming out of COVID or even startup companies) etc etc are attributing to the housing crisis.\n\nWorking with others from around the world coming into this country has actually been a blessing in that it fosters healthy competition within the workplace and society.\n\nLocal born citizens do not all know the meaning and value of work ethics. \n\nWhat a joke and ignorant statement that immigrants are causing housing crisis and strain on health care system.\n\nThe system of Healthcare is broken. System does not discriminate it is just inefficient based on those governing it.\n\nGet the government to actually do their jobs and govern this country.\n\nI welcome more immigrants as they bring new values, new paradigms, work ethic, mentality of care to others, and in the workplace.\n\nI have seen firsthand our citizens abuse immigrants and house them in unethical conditions---but you don't mind taking their money though right? You don't mind gouging them for tuition and not give them PR to contribute to this country and build a better life for themself and society right?\n\nI can not believe what this country is turning into. Reductionist and racist thinking.

The problem is the US, we need to fix our problems at home with immigration first!!!! \nWe have immigrants on the waiting list, doing the right thing by following the law!!! Waiting in line to have there case and situation heard.\n\n Immigrants from the 60s 80s never got free housing free food were never allowed to enter the country the way the immigrants today are just entering and they're staying in 5 star hotels in New York City never in the country's history has it been seen.\n Never in the country's history has resources from US citizens been given to immigrants I have entered illegally.\n And now if you are from Venezuela you're ahead of the line ahead of all the people that've been waiting to legalize their status these people are just getting documents faster than everybody else why is that.\n We need to fix the situation in our country first and take care of the people that are in line doing it the right way.
