India has to seriously relook at the school education system. None of the subjects talks about ethics, following rules empathy etc. As the kids getting older the ‘chalta hai’ mentality rules their brain.

I hope indians will reflect of what they're doing, like indian students, i see some of them don't pay on the bus, i had experienced when we were waiting in line in bus station, i see them cutting line, they were lucky because Canadians are polite, and just let it go, one time an indian male driver parks his car on where the bus pass through in bus station, in tim Hortons most of the time they give us the wrong order, and i always had a stomach Ache when i eat at tims, but i never had problems when i order from other coffee shops, only at tims, and in our neighborhood they throw their garbage on the side of train rails, and it was clean before the indian immigrants move in in our neighborhood? Canada is Ruined? but i know there are good indians out there who follow the rules, i hope their bad habits will stop its ruining the indian community

The government should change the rule to let international students into the country, beside getting accepted to the accredited schools , they also need to have a guarantor living here who will guarantee for their well-being ( including housing and food ) during their courses.

as far as i know personally indians are the laziest noisiest people and don’t respect/obey traffic rules! that’s why accidents happened mostly involving them!

It pisses me off that people are coming to Canada and have no respect at all for the place, the rules, the people, etc. you are not a fit. 5:48 A few blocks away from that accident was my first home in Canada. I was shocked to see such a thing happening in a residential area. Many Indians may get offended, but Indians as a community play a majority role in the hatred Canadians have towards them. I am an Indian too, but it annoys me to no end to see the nuisance some Indians create. It brings a bad name to the whole community. But, they just don't care. there is only so many students per school for other countries so our own get a chance to go to school. but trulip has fixed this to buy votes by allowing foreigner to vote when they get here and not by the rules of citizenship. but that has ended now and so has trulip. cant house our own people time to close the boarder on immigration. I think 10 years of this in only a few years was a bit much.

Those from India are like any other immigrants. They're trying to find their way in a new society with different customs and rules. My parents came here in the 50’s from Italy and were discriminated against in the same ways. As first-generation Canadians, my brother and I were discriminated against because of our heritage in school and then in our chosen careers.\n\nIn general, Indians are hard-working, well-educated, English-speaking and entrepreneurial. In general Indians benefit Canadian society.\n\nI became friends and eventually best friends with my neighbour from Punjab. He came here with nothing and became an educator for children with special needs. He had two master's degrees. One from McGill University and one from Cambridge. He was involved in our community at many levels. We spent most evenings discussing life, and society issues and even worked together on a campaign of one of our local councillors and won. He had a positive impact on all who knew him. Unfortunately, he passed in 2012. RIP Rupinder Jeji. You are dearly missed.

If India hated being under British rule why would a former British colony like Canada enjoy being invaded by India?

I have worked with and around Indians for 30 years. Many are my friends but most look for loopholes in the law, they avoid paying their taxes and they cheat. This is not a stereotype. If you have a huge home with multiple families then pay for your services. This is not a recent problem, it has being going on for years. Marks use to replace work boots if they work out too quickly, why not have the person with the largest feet pick them out, use them for 8 hours, pass them on to the next person and again. Then get a free pair. They aren't made to wear 16 to 24 hours per day. Our social services are to help people get on their feet and contribute, they are not free handouts. ICBC, UIC, WCB U O ME. Just try to fit in and follow the basic rules of society. I am welcoming to everyone until they wear out their welcome.

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? I don’t believe so. I did to deserve it. \n\nSo, don’t put everybody on the same basket. There are bad people I know, but also there are people willing to grow and make the country grow as well. \n\nLast, but not least, I don’t think the COUNTRY has more people that they can handle. I think the big cities have. Government should look into that. Everybody wants to come to Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary. We are caring and understand all human rights, but when people start taking advantage justin Trudeau should stand and dont give fuck about all rules, we should think, do we actually care about human rights? For example one needs only a visitor visa to get citizenship Just need to say im gay/lesbo family friends behind him/her to kill. Person will get free hotel until you won't find home. Then person will be paid per month to take care yourself. If you need to study? Of course you will get all free education. Thats why government running out of money for those who are retired, worked hard for years and earn those retirement cheques.Human rights and other rules are good on papers but in reality, people always find out loop holes to take advantage of rules. Selling LMIA owners of subway, gas stations, circle k, convince stores owners made millions till today. No wonder why asian have more homes than actual locals? I agree with you - individual blame isn’t right and the racism isn’t right . There are many things that need to change - like drivers re training for Canadian roads and rules , assimilation ( understand we are used to space so back off at the grocery line) and deodorant…seriously

As an Indian I can tell you for sure that Punjab India is corrupt. They make fake asylums and get fake documents from Punjab. They also make fake Khalistani claims. In fact Canada should be aware that these guys might ask for there own country if they keep growing in BC area. I have to face racism and discrimination now despite being here for 40 years. I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

Why do you say it is a red flag when international students can bring their spouses? This has always been the case and is the same in many other countries. Have you researched immigration and student visa rules and regulations before discussing this topic?

I been to Canada 10 times over the years and Canadians were friendly and welcoming, not so much now and it’s not racism it is because the uneducated, uncivilised uncultured Indians and Khalistanis who find their way into the country through fraudulent means and run a muck . They don’t follow rules and regulations, they are always after easy money, get involved in crime, drug trafficking, gun smuggling etc. some of these so called students can’t put two words of English together are suppose to be uni students. The immigration dept in Canada has failed the Canadian people. Mind you there are lot of Canadians of Indian origin who are highly qualified and skilled who are model citizens of the country.

i was born in montreal and raised in various places in Quebrec, i am a veteran having served 29 years in defence of this country.. Having said all that, i love Quebec the only thing i dislike is the ruling government of the province.

PM Trudeau is the first one to blame for getting a flood of immigrants into Canada. Secondly Indians who come here try to blame Canadians for their problems . They are destroying the original Canadian culture. They don't follow the rules and language. It's sad that because of the bad behavior all Indians are looked down upon. Govt is to be blamed for issuing too many visas. I noticed Indian drivers driving crazy and not obeying traffic rules. Indian students in public transit sitting in seats for old people and pretend to be sleeping. It’s a few rotten tomatoes that is spoiling everyone.
