The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse. But you can’t just keep the tap on when the glass is already full. We need to turn off the immigration spigot for a while, catch up to get our services and housing to a level that is workable, then look at turning it back on with a smarter outlook on the numbers to bring in.

Some of these slumlords deserve everything they are getting. I am trying to convince my neighbor not to pay their rent as the slumlord evicted a very nice family after they refused to pay a $1500 increase claiming he is selling the house. He never sold but he sure did turn the home into a rooming house with over 20 students. It is a F@king nightmare.

I landed in Edmonton 2003 as a immigrant and it was a such nice country back then, rental price is very reasonable. Since Justin became premier, everything got worse, high inflation and less job makes Canada no more a affordable country for Canadians. So it is time to change

Nice greetings from Germany. 4 years ago you could get a 1 room apartment in the country with 30sqm² for 200-250€ (300-375 Cad), today it costs around 650 € (980 Cad), the reason is exactly the same as yours , mass migration! (usually illegal only) Of course it's not the migrants' fault, no, it's the governments, they control who comes in and out, they have the key to the castle that is overcrowded!

Crazy the amount of homeless in all the parks that where for children are now being use as camp sites. Children or seniors can't enjoy a nice time now.\nUnemployment refusing to help residents n new people that are student or don't got documents get full financial support but those that live here can't. A solution needs to be made. The amount if crimes going up. People have no respect for canadian rules. Fireworks going on when they shouldn't be. Jobs where u only see one culture but yet it's a multi culture ? country?\nNothing went wrong n it needs to be fix. To many sleep during covid19. I am all for immigration if it is adding a benefit. Right now the government is using immigration to juice up gdp numbers, the trade off is weaker gdp per capita, lower living standards and higher unemployment = more gov spending and less productivity. Need to focus more on quality and it would be nice to see more diversity in the targets.

It's nice to no longer have racist immigration policies, its the reason why there are so many Euro-Candians here to begin with, nice to see some varying racial and ethnic groups for a change. Even things out a bit

lol there is a lot of ignorance about Canada and Canadians here. We are not nice, we are passive aggressive, we love foreigners who come to this country to launder their dirty money in real estate (up up go the housing prices), the RCMP is the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (not patrol) and Mexicans who have no previous ties or status in Canada DO need a visa to enter. Canada has accepted an insane amount of Uber / amazon driving immigrants over the past few years to boost the GDP, unfortunately our infrastructure across the country is lacking. We don't have enough homes, schools, hospitals, doctors, good jobs for the people that are already here. Immigrants are conned and sold a lie, going to the USA only makes sense. Both of our countries need immigration reform.
