This was always going to occur. Shut down the southern border and people will try to get in through the north. As I understand it, we don't have the same deportation laws with Canada as we do with Mexico. This needs to be dealt with and Canada needs to step up. I live in a norther border state and my younger brother died of fentanyl. I am fed up with it. I love Canada and remembering crossing the border without even a passport as a kid, but this is no longer acceptable.

Please don't lump the rest of the state in with those in NYC who keep voting for this insanity. The CITY voted for Cuomo and then Hochul, the rest of the state did not, but the rest of the state is so rural that the population of the city outvote the entirety of the rest of the state. That's why they pushed so hard for their sanctuary policies and providing IDs to illegal immigrants and allowing them to vote. This guarantees they keep getting reelected and increases over all state population which is used to determine how many congressional seats a state has and how many electoral votes, so more people would mean more political power.

Unfortunately most of the ones getting kicked out of the country are the hard working Mexicans who have been working for decades without welfare and the ones with fake asylum, work permit and driver license ( can vote with it in blue states) and who have Abused the welfare system like no others, are still here.

So how exactly are they coming into NY? Northern Border has the Great Lakes and Lawrence River so they can only come across from the Port of Entry at Niagara Falls. And there they are very strict ( at least in my time) about entry. The only other way they could come across by land is from other states far to the West.

If NY or anywhere else gives a reason for people to enter the United States illegally by giving them money or a benefit, its time to arrest those that are doing it. This is an insurrection which encourages and assist invaders in entering the United State. I think the arrest should start with those that passed sanctuary city laws.
