Our politicians have allowed Canada to become a default destination for so called refugees who are more often economic migrants looking to benefit from Canada's largesse. With such massive numbers of immigrants and refugees entering the country, we should not wonder why affordable housing and rental units are increasingly difficult to find for the existing population and why our social and health systems are overwhelmed.

The US is very lenient towards immigration and has many processes in place to facilitate it. I know that it takes a long time, but there are so many immigrants applying that is it simply not possible to increase the rate of immigration and maintain the integrity of the country.\n\nThis type of assault on the border is not and will never be effective, what are they thinking?\n\nI know that many are Venezuelan, but Mexico is also to blame for allowing this. We have SO MANY immigrants that come here to Canada legally and we are happy to have them....but this is disgusting. Canada accepts more than 2.5x the immigrants per capita as the US. That is with a far more rigid system. So yes, those requesting asylum are treated humanely and under international law. That doesn't mean they will ultimately be accepted. As far as legal immigration, there is a defined system so only those needed are accepted. It's not always perfect, but it allows immigration to benefit the country.

The Vegetable In Chief has allowed for an infestation of illegal immigrants. The U.S. should take over Mexico to first, take control of the border, and secondly, get rid of the cartels. I have witnessed 1st hand people crossing our Canadian border on the coast and they just wait until the RCMP bring a Limo to pick them up. I welcome anyone who goes through the process of legally immigrating. Our Ukrainian friends, Afghan's who were left behind or Syrian's. We are countries of immigration, but to just allow them to crash through is wrong.

If Canada or the US were to charge a fee for permission to remain the revenue would be astounding! I can't think of one immigrant that would refuse to pay a $500 monthly fee to remain and work freely in either country. It has been suggested many, many times. The amount of revenue generated would exceed that of the tax revenue we currently have in place for common Americans by 2030. Why Republicans don't allow this? Because the conditions and rules that most be followed like, no felonies would optimally change the face of who they portrayed them to be.

Every liberal town or province has become a shithole, and this has been pretty consistent even when you look south of the boarder. Want to know what works? Natural diversity, not forced diversity. If you introduce multicultural immigration, it allows those who come in to adjust at a normal and consistent pace. This allows immigrants to get the education they need, the job they need, and the position they are qualified and skilled for. Forced diversity only breaks the system, and immigrants gets lost in it and are not able to get the necessary education and skill they need. Therefore, you have the lack of diversity in any corporation or business that are operating today.

The unfortunate thing is, a lot of people can't talk about simple truths. And if you try to, you will be called a racist, because facts and statistics are racist apparently. But if you look at the crime statistics database, something like 90% of violent crime is committed by black and Hispanic men between the age of 18 to 45. If you removed that demographic from America, America would be like some future Utopian world where all we knew was peace. So those demographics need to be allowed to be talked about if we want to be able to find solutions and solve those problems. And no, giving reparations would never solve stop those crimes. It's a cultural things that's kept around by bad parenting, poor education, and their surroundings. Sweden is a perfect example where they had nearly 0 crime until they started letting in black refugees from all over. Grape, robbery, and assaults all went up by not 20, 30, 40, 50%. Not even 100%. Those crimes went up by like 400% or more. Women who had lived there their whole lives now had to walk the streets in fear. White men had to now be worried about getting assaulted or stabbed by immigrants who were hitting on his girlfriend in clubs. They are completely disrespectful and unappreciative of being allowed to live there and be given government assistance. This is how people become prejudice. They SEE how other cultures act and treat them, and they don't want anything to do with them because they simply fear for our safety.

Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

Canada doesn't NEED more people. Canada simply needs a government that allows the people it already has (immigrants or Canadian born) to succeed in their life goals and dreams while benefiting society. By the way, I actually haven't lived in Canada myself for about a decade now. Also - my mother was a doctor in her country, but wasn't allowed to practice medicine in Canada for almost her whole career, despite us desperately needing qualified doctors. It's just crazy. So many doctors immigrate to Canada, and yet they're not allowed to practice. They should at least allow doctors who have studied abroad to write a qualifying test to practice medicine so everyone can benefit. But most medical associations are very protective of their professional turf.

I live in Canada for 20 years, I volunteered in a shutter couple of times preparing and serving food, I haven't seen any black person that's homeless, Winnipeg to be a specific where I lived, where homeless is higher there, yet you showing black people in your video as homeless?! that's just tells me you are racist yourself. \nwhere I used to live, black people especially the immigrants are business owners, and they're hard working people. \nWe all know who are the homeless and why they are homeless not because they can't find job but because they have mental problems then they end up to drugs addictions. I am a 23 yr old Canadian and I agree with everything you said. I'm trying to figure out how to leave and where I want to go. Something about this country feels so soul crushing, and I grew up poor with limited opportunities and it's so damn hard to get ahead. I want to move to the US but their immigration laws are so strict. I'm considering any other country that I can study in but so many of them don't allow you to work while you study so I feel trapped.

NOT against immigration, but it has to be done very carefully. Nothing in too large of amounts is ever a good thing, and I feel that aiming for a numerical goal is not the way to go, especially when you have to take shortcuts to get there like allowing anybody in.

Immigration is not the challenge. Allowing foreign investors to purchase huge amounts of Canadian real estate to drive up costs and make profit, that's the problem.

Most of these problems are not just Canadian problems but are immigrant problems and some are just developed nations problems , most people will face them in every country they go to!! The uk, us, Australia mention others are all expensive with just a 0.4 difference! Getting a Canadian passport and moving to another country which is not your native country will solve nothing and it’s not easy to move to a new country unless you have someone to sponsor you!! A Canadian passport will not allow you to work in the US or UK you will need sponsorship for a visa _ all it offers is a free visit visa for about 6 months I guess but not allowed to work! Work visas are complicated and depend more on skills than passport you hold! As a US citizen I can’t work in Canada visa free I can only visit_ the same with Canadians coming to the US or the UK ! \nFor the weather I feel you! We’re lucky In the US cos every type of weather you want you can get it without sacrificing living in a big city But other problems are quite similar everywhere! You have to walk around them and create ways to enjoy the beauty your country has to offer! Running away from from a country your a citizen of cos of loneliness or boredom is not a solution especially when you moving to a country your not even a resident of! Cos establishing residence is never easy unless you have a community there already! Otherwise it will be worse than where your running from!

I am transgender and out, basically broke the relationship with my family. I’m living alone in the US as an international student (CN citizen) and suffering from the living cost and tuition even though I have a part-time job, and I’m gonna lose it soon because I have to change my visa to a student visa that does not allow me to work outside of campus. I am thinking about transferring to a Canadian university because I’m poor and lonely without family anyway (lol), and I just can’t resist the temptation of starting my life again in a different place while healing my trauma. Moreover, it’s more immigrant-friendly (note I am still going through a visa change in the US), maybe I will not be in the daily fear of having to go back to China, where is definitely not trans-friendly. But I’m so anxious on the other hand. What if I end up unemployed; what if I run out of money…I’m simply uncertain about how to find somewhere queer-friendly to survive with a secured shelter and money enough for food. I’m sorting everything out…please let me know if you have any similar experiences in Canada. Anything can be very helpful.

They dropped interest rates to nearly zero to stimulate the economy during covid. 3 months in it was obvious that industry wasn't doing anything because covid stopped things. Housing went crazy. After 3 months they should have put interest rates back up. Nope. Instead they kept them down and allowed the most immigration ever in Canada's history. 100% the fault of the liberal government. This is why a prime minister needs to have some knowledge of monetary policy
