lmao Yeah please stop selling oil to the US so Canada will collapses overnight instead of 4 mths with their already pathetic economy it will get much much worse especially when Canada has to start printing money and their unemployment goes to 12-=13%. US does not need Canada and never did.

I'm from eastern EU. I hope EU can make an improved trade agreement with Canada. One that will last future decades. \n\nThey are a reliable partner. My country (Romania) has been using Canadian CANDU nuclear tech for our reactors since the 1970s and we are collaborating again for other new reactors. This is what governments want : stable democracies + reliable partners. Canada has both.

The US has a trade deficit around $1 TRILLION. So, this isn't anything personal against Canada; I think Trump wants to impose tariffs on ALL imports to encourage domestic manufacturing and flip the trade deficit. He's just using situations of importance to also gain political leverage.

Issue is China. Rather than Punishing China, Trump got mad at the number shown. Infact all countries must impose 100% tariff on china. Atleast US, Canada, EU must cooperate between themselves to impose them on china. Any Product made in china must carry 100% tariff until china floats its currency.

Mexico and Canada combine GDP equals a smallest little city in America.

The reason trump can get away with it is, Canada, Mexico and China export way more goods to the US than we do to them. They're going to pay a lot more over time. Trump knows he has them by the gonads.
