People are acting like Mexico has no one else to look to if the US keeps pushing them like this. China is always ready to make strategic partners and they are already bypassing their own tariffs via Mexico through NAFTA.

The biggest issue with the drugs is that Mexico blames everyone else but themselves for the issue. The US is just the biggest consumer but Mexico traffics all over the world not just the united states ?

Trump doesn't care about the results of his tariffs. He wll blame the destructive results on someone else. He is just eladed to know that he will not be held accountable and doesn't have to go to prison. He will spend his presidency golfing and attending rallies to get his dose of endorphins from his MAGA sycophants.

America has an insatiable demand for drugs and cheap labor while having the audacity to blame everyone else for those problems. Mexico should shrug and let China build what it wants in response. Why leverage your economic future on an unstable US ally who flips personalities every election?

This is interesting! If you take Economics 101 you will find that tariffs are not paid by another country but are passed down to the consumer(s). Is Trump's thinking that if products cost more from Mexico that Americans will buy products from someone else? And in this case most products come in from elsewhere so the U.S. consumer will be paying hire prices on what we purchase. America does not manufacture a lot of our products anymore. Trump has 1950's economic views.

I can’t understand why people in America can’t see that Trump is in the political game to meet his own needs and agenda!! Between the cost of mass deportation and the loss of critical workers, the consequences of such a policy would be disastrous for our economy. 11 million is about 3% of our population. You can't just get rid of that many people without causing major problems for everyone else. We need more nuanced immigration reform, not draconian enforcement of a broken system.
