Canada has a few problems like these: Many many people want to come live in Canada, last year more than a million people came to our country. The total population of the country is now greater than 40 million people. This is putting enormous pressure on the housing market, this is why in part the cost of housing is very high. Also, ridiculous monetary policy from many central banks to bring the interest rate to zero has helped create a real estate bubble. Rates are now higher and this is cooling the market. Immigration is also putting pressure on the health care system and education system. \n\nNow if there has been a lot of inflation it is partly because the country is rich and many people have lots of money. Yes there are people suffering from the situation but believe, the shopping centres are full of people, the restaurants are full, etc. Life is still very good for those people that have been smart with their money.

95 percent of the immigrants we bring in dont have experience building homes and the ones that can build homes stay in their countries because they get paid alright. Canada isnt a great place anymore, very very very unaffordable.

That's is what we got. This is because the immigration policy in America has broken for decades because the corrupt politicians want to work with mafia, Mexico. This is what we've got all America's fall. Cheap labor because it didn't want to work with the Africans who were born. American citizens ready to work work hard. But wanted a little bit more money. HONG KONG SCHEME and decades of open door to mass immigration mostly from Hong Kong and Mainland China (with now all coutries in the Asian continents) and paying above market value with easy immigration and bringing elderly family created this mess in 1990!! Now immigration is easier with no visa required for other countries. Long term care homes are also overwhelmed as people are bringing their non english speaking relatives and causing a burden on this social system, thus MAID has been no other option for many people. Canada is a doormat and people like Mulroney, Crietien and Trudeau are the ones who created this pandora box!!

Our government looks after immigrants BETTER than its own CITIZENS! ????\nFor ex. ppl who have been homeless for yrs R sleeping on the street, in tents, parks, cars etc. They receive NO help! \nYET IMMIGRANTS R getting into shelters! Like WTF?!! ? Some arrived here (in summer) with NO housing (which is ASS BACKWARDS ~ Y R U bringing ppl here when there R NO places for US to live let alone immigrants??!!) & they were sleeping in the streets/parks. Our Govt moved mountains to find THEM shelters in relatively record time but have done NOTHING to help CANADIANS who R ALREADY homeless (A LOT of them R homeless bc of cost of housing & NOT ALCOHOL/DRUG ABUSE!) Most ppl assume it’s bc of drug addiction. It’s NOT! \nU can be employed making a ‘relatively’ decent wage & yet U R 1 step away from being homeless ESP NOW & esp with greedy landlords!!!) \n\nSince WHEN did it become acceptable to neglect the countries REAL CITIZENS & focus solely on Immigrants? ?? \nThis is just ONE example. This is a horrific mess!!!And the problems are just beginning,they came to the immigrant center in San Antonio.There is not enough of anything for them even sanitary facilities it's ruined the neighborhood and business in that area.A nightmare with no end.They bring them in at night when people aren't out to see it happening.Thank you Biden ,Democrats Liberals!Now you got them here what are you going to do with them?Destroying our country from the inside out!!!!!?

However, when dealing with our Indian Embassy or Immigration, individuals have the right to question and demand reasons. what a pathetic person you are?

Most immigrants have money to bring into this country, that giant figure our government can’t say no to.

We were already in a housing crisis before Trudeau brought over those 80,000 refugees/immigrants, then we had all those who jumped our border from the US because Trudeau invited them to come to Canada. All that on top of our usual amount of immigrants that come in every year.\nIn the end we should have a MAXIMUM cap on the total # of refugees/immigrants that can enter the country per year no matter how/why they want to enter, and we should require all of them to have skills/trades/etc that we actually need. Why should we be bringing in people who can't/won't work? I know that the UK brought in refugees over 50 years ago that the majority of are STILL on welfare and the majority of their kids are on welfare too.\n\nI think Trudeau has spent more on refugees/immigrants then he has spent on our own homeless people, veterans and mental health care combined.

Bringing in unprecedented numbers of immigrants and refugees is stressing on a country. We need to stabilize, not de-stabilize.

I absolutely as a Canadian agree that high immigration is certainly adding to our housing and Medical crisis. We need to stop bringing more people into our country until we deal with the crisis we have. Also I read that 40% of the immigrates that come to Canada leave due to those 2 crisis and no employment for professionals, I.E Doctor, nurses etc. I also noticed in the News there are increased in Hate Crimes

Immigration is good but do not bring in criminals and leachers! Canada have brought in so many criminals from other countries. The documentary on the iranian regime recently, how on earth did we have 700 of them!? How many immigrants are here and just leaching off the welfare system? Of course the government do not tell canadians that. Bring hard working useful immigrants who will adapt and learn the canadian values. I spoke to some new immigrants who got a PR for a useless job experience.

I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. This isn't a cultural/race issue either and people who say this shouldn't be called racist, I mean its honestly insane to call it racist when the very immigrants you bring in are making the same points.

Im not against immigration and multiculturalism but is unfair to bring people to Canada promising a brighter future and having them face hardships of our housing prices, high cost of food, failing medical system. Insuring a disadvantaged Canadian population.

Why does Canada need Immigration? The Gap between Canadians who are retiring and those who are in the workforce (and hence are paying taxes) or are supposed to enter is increasing. There are more Canadians retiring than those working. Result? The Canadian government has less tax revenue (and perhaps more expenditure as a result of Increased pensions etc.). So now, either the government has to Increase Taxes (More taxes? Hell no!!) or bring in New Immigrants to increase the tax-paying workforce of the Canadian Economy. Hence, immigrants are needed and the political parties including Conservative, Liberal, NDP, etc. know this and are inviting immigrants in record numbers. The issue is too much red tape in Building housing options in Canada, not immigrants

Honestly the only immigrants we should take in for the next couple years should be refugees and asylum seekers who have no where to go\n\nIdk why we keep bringing in immigrants who can easily just stay in their home countries and have a decent living

How about housing, increased demand on all products equals higher costs, social system hand outs to more people who haven't contributed to the system via taxes. Canada should plan better. You need housing and resources.\nCan't depend on people to make housing available for rent.\nIt is not the immigrants' fault that there is a crisis.\nIt is the government policies that only care for the money coming in with the immigrants.\nThe same with students.\nInternational students bring their money. They pay triple tuition. There should be more done to ensure they don't become homeless or dependent on food banks after coming here.\n\nIf that is happening, the Canadian government needs to put in more measures to check students' funds.

Without sufficient infrastructure to support this kind of population growth, the GDP per capita has been dropping and housing costs have gone through the roof due to the great gap between supply and demand. Immigrants bring billions of dollars to the Canadian government every year. Immigrants pay 3x more than Canadians for college tuition. Permanent resident application is over 1.5 k, if you pay a consultant or immigration lawyer, it goes up to 2k to 5k, work permit application 150, study permit 150, plus biometrics 80 cad, plus 1.2 k for a room per month, plus food, plus 200 dollars for the bus per month. I still wanna know where all this money goes. It should be invested in healthcare and housing.

I think the system was designed intentionally to empty immigrants pockets and then push them out. Sell Canadian Dream, bring as much immigrants as possible. Make them pay crazy rents and keep them in never attainable certification limbo. By the time they realize they are already exploited by the system. Bring in educated immigrants

Immigration and real estate is a source of income for Canada, any prime minister or party will not give up this source of income. \n Most of us probably see that class of people who are ready to come to Canada with the hope of changing their lives for themselves and their families, but we don't see those super rich people who bring poisonous and huge amounts of money into Canada! The immigration and finance department of Canada will not give up those immigrants. Just to please the voters, maybe they include a small article and note here and there in the law, like giving candy to a crying child.

The problem is not the number of immigrants and foreign workers.. it's where all of them want to go.. Vancouver and Toronto. How about bringing them to the under populated cities and towns in Canada to help those cities and towns? In Toronto, you see South Asians driving cars with Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia plates but they're living here.. Well done. My family can be traced in Canada to 1807, or earlier. I have lived my life in the same Province that I was born. And the main objection a Canadian citizen might use to consider moving away is because of the high rate of migration, both legal and illegal. When population was 32M we allowed 25K legal migrants. At 40M we are expected to absorb 1M new migrants into a system that has sent most manufacturing jobs overseas, abused taxes and Parliament and many existing social systems are used to support the added burden. So the reason resident Cdns may seem standoffish is because the addition of a new migrant makes their job that much harder and further reduces the chances of home ownership or having a family. In one Province the average legal immigrant is able to import 23 members of their immediate family. In a Province of 4M, there exists Medical identity Cards for 8M. The country is divided and there is nothing which brings unity. The decline in morality has spanned a new generation of corruption at all levels

100% bang on.. I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. No doubt there are way more homeless people in India, but they are working or at least trying in some way to make their life better and they never hurt you at least, here, it's the opposite, as they literally can do anything.. you can find them roaming all over on the streets of Old Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa.. You can literally find them everywhere.. someone commented earlier that you should give 2 years.. Bro or sis.. it's a complete waste as I am at the same point.. and on top of it when you invested 2 years, it even becomes tougher as it becomes even harder to go back as you have spent so much on furniture, house, car, tools, n all and most importantly - 2 YEARS of life. I left my pregnant wife and have been staying away from her and a 1-and-a-half-year-old baby boy hoping that we'll create a better future and can afford to struggle right now.. its been 2+ years.. Honestly.. I am still not able to figure out whether there is any future or I have spoiled my present looking for a future.. its a dilemma beyond explanation in words, with no relatives or anyone based here.. I've a lot at stake currently and that's the only reason I am stuck otherwise leaving this place seems to be inevitable.. \n\nI travel extensively all throughout and forget about expressways anywhere in Canada (Except 407 which has an insane toll rate) it's a 4-lane highway just 80 km from Toronto to the rest of 450+ kms to Montreal which are 2 major cities of this so-called developed country.. same is for Ottawa, the same hold true from Calgary to Edmonton, and any other major town/city!! on top of it, they are struggling to even maintain those (always under construction - even construction is a wrong word to use as they aren't adding anything new.... it is just being repaired in true words) Same is true with adding new infra in terms of hospitals or any other facility... Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!! People are literally not willing to work (Except hard-working immigrants), Govt. doesn't have any plans for the future regarding the economy and development... just bringing in immigrants.. that's it..\n\nYou've made a very smart decision and really at a very good time.. wish you, and your family all the best..!!
