In the US, a college education (4year) starts at $150 thousand. Most US or foreign student graduate with a student loan over $250 (US) thousand. Every one is is the same predicament. And we all struggling to get an education and pay our way through life - YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL!! Follow the rules!!!

I have visited Canada several times and I wouldn't even think of breaking any rules, regardless of what some people say still one of the most orderly, peaceful and law-abiding places I have been to. Don't let outsiders ruin that!

We need stricter rules for the international students: No work permits, two years tuition fees in advance, $50,000 per year for living support instead of the current $20,000. No PR pathway and return to their country after they finish their studies

Include the visitors from mainly Punjabis and Indians that received working letters to work while on vactions. Never knew such bully immigratiin existed.\n\nOur knowledge is that when a person or persons enter Canada for vacation, NOT TO APPLY FOR WORKING PERMITS.\n\nSO BASICALLY, THEY WERE IN CANADA TAKING CANADIANS JOBS.\n\nTHESE PEOPLE WEEW NOT COMING FOR A VACATION, THEY MAIN GOAL WAS TO WORK.\n\nTHE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM.INDIA AND PUNJABIS HAD NO PLANS TO ATTEND COLLEGES FOR STUDYING IT WAS ALL ABOUT WORKING OVER 40 HOURS PER WEEK.\n\nTHE INTERNATIONAL FROM INDIA AND PUNJAB THAT ENTER CANADA WITH FAKE STUDENTS VISA, FAKE COLLEGES, FAKE WORKING PERMITS.\n\nTHE FAKE IMMIGRATION CONSULTANTS, STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS WHO WERE ALL INVOLVED IN THE IMMIGRATION FRAUD SHOULD BE ALL DEPORTED TO MOSTLY INDIA, PUNJABI AND OTHER NATIONALITIES.\n\n\nTHEY DISRESPECTED CANADA IMMIGRATION RULES AND REGULATIONS.\n\n\nTHEY ALL MUST BE MADE AN EXAMPLE FOR THE OTHER FRAUDERS OF CANADA IMMIGRATION.

As an immigrant and I speak for all the first immigrants that came to Canada many years ago, we followed the rules and never demanded anything that we are not entitled to. No protesting and all this bullshit! Temporary means temporary! Get the fukk out!!!

Divide and conquer. Friendships are mostly made because of similarities or similar interests. Glad this is happening! First, because the govt. should put their citizens & their heritage as top priority. Secondly, because permit to study doesn’t mean permit to permanently settle down. Don’t use words like racism during protests. That’s not racism. Canadians are much more tolerant as compared to places where many of us come from - places that are pure classists, casteists & extremists! Yes, this exists in 21st century. Finally, there is no deeper philosophy involved - learn to respect & assimilate in a new country. Work hard. Follow the rules. I mean these days I am seeing people failing to follow basic civic sense & social manners. This is creating a problem for the entire community. We clearly don’t want this to happen to the real hardworking and sensible ones!!!!

I am an immigrant essentially - finally got my PR after 3 years in 2012 (on a skilled worker application - IT Systems Manager), 10k in lawyers fees - I took exams to prove I can write read and speak English - I maintained a decent level of fitness to pass my medical (cost more money in gym memberships) (I was born and bred in the UK and privately educated there) I bought a house before I was a PR - I had to jump through hoops and I played by the rules to get my PR (I am now a citizen) - I do not understand how these people think that they can just demand what I had to work so very hard to achieve...?

To set an absolute example.Get started on these particular people immedietly. Pack up n GO! We owe you nothing. Now git, your welcome to re-apply when your HOME! FOLLOW THE RULES! Don't falsify your intent or exploit our system. Learn from your mistakes. Learn English or French it's our language. Speak it in public. Your entitled behavior is pissing us off. P.s. Stop defacating on our beaches. Stop leaving soda bottles of urine everywhere.The only misunderstanding is some immigrant people thinking they have a say. You are not a Canadian. Maybe the immigration rules should be rewritten. Visitor visas or student visas doesn't mean you are a citizen.

You come and visit or study - then you GO HOME. Then you try and come back legally. That's how it goes for anyone. Once we let people make their own rules society falls.

Furthermore, and regardless of the issue of foreign students, and their spouses, the lack of offordability will not significantly improve, as the supply is the accumulation of many years of deficit, due to bureaucratic, regulatory reasons, and the lacking, or the deficiency in housing policy, at all government levels, and all related taxation, budgeting, financing, and general economic policy adopted , or omitted in dealing with inflation, interest rate manipulation by the Banque of Canada, inadequate competion issues, investment in main street, instead of the Wall of Bay Street, political sanctions, and tariffs, etc..This immigration issue needs to consider the demographic, and labor needs of Canada, while in the same time, or in tandem, prepare for the required housing supply, and other needs, and requirements in term of reviewing the rules and procedures, pertaining to integrating the professional immigrants in their professions instead of excluding them from professional organizations such the medical, and the ingeneering, professions and so on. Many of such professional resources are driving cabs in Toronto, Vancouver,and Montreal. So to blame the housing crises on the immigrants only, will not define completely the housing crisis, and may not help to solve it.

International students are in Canada to study and should be financially secure to make that travel to Canada to study for a few years. After their graduation, they should depart and return to their home countries… no one should be allowed to stay if the society doesn’t need your skill set at that moment of time. \n\nThere are many options for them:\n\n1. Make their motherland great by contributing to their own economy;\n2. Be a good ambassador for their own country while in Canada by respecting our rule of law;\n3. Depart when your temporary time in a foreign country is up! If not, expect to be removed by force!

They knew the rules before they applied to come here on a TEMPORARY visa. Now that their visa has expired or is about to expire, they want to change the laws to accommodate them.\n\nJust like India has laws regarding immigration, so does Canada. Go back, apply for the proper visa and when Canada is ready to grow and our infrastructure could handle the influx in people, then we will accept you.

As a Chinese immigrant, I have to say that Canada needs to evaluate the quality of new immigrants. For the past 20years, large amount of Chinese immigrated to Canada, 50% of them are wealthy, and brought millions billions of dollars to Canada, especially a lot of rich students who are willing to consume and pay taxes. The other 50% are not that wealthy, but they are working hard while not breaking the rules. Most importantly, they don’t take shit on the beach, and they are afraid to break laws!

It's absolutely stupid to pull up something that happened 100s of years ago and blame Canadians. Unlike local Canadians who has accepted the mistake, acknowledged and integrated with the indigenous people, what concerns does an Intl student have towards this issue which has already been resolved. If one can't prove that their skills are worth enough to get them an extension or a PR, I'm sorry it's time for a pack up. I wonder how that student said that he was both a student and truck driver? Could someone look at this. If intl students are effectively breaking the rules as laid on their visa they should be barred from reapplying to another visa.

As a fellow Indian, They had enough time time to study and get a good job apply for PR instead they take useless courses , work instead of study and when the wp expires they think they can do a strike and demand to extend WP!Remember its an opportunity given by Canada to gain Workexperince after study instead you guys are make them take it back by doing this stupid strike! You can't change the rule of any country, it's already fair rules, and also you are an immigrant so if you want any rule just ask to your own country government don't make protest here in Canada.

I feel really sorry for the people who are desperate to find basic security and stability in their lives. However, addressing each case individually is not a solution to the broader issue. The global situation is likely to worsen in the future, and with the increasing rate of illegal immigration, we risk losing the cultural integrity of Europe. I empathize with these people and want to help them, but many carry a hostile ideology, and for some, their only hope for a better future lies in the establishment of Islamic rule. It's a sad and complex situation.

Indians are the worst. I think it is their attidude, behaviour, stubborness, entitledness and stupidity that makes them the worst. \nI remember few years ago I was working in a supermarket when one indian lady and her indian boyfriend approached me looking for a sweet watermelon so i showed her the sweetest watermelon in the market and out of nowhere she told me “If this watermelon is not sweet I will come back and I will squash this watermelon in your head ok”. I have so many bad experiences involving indian rude attidudes and behaviours at work and even in public places. Indians always think they are always above others. They don’t follow traffic rules, road tailgaters, they always leaving beautiful places thrashed. They play loud bollywood music in public places. It is their behaviour the reason why they are being targeted by many communities.

Not that people want Indians out of Canada. People dont want overpopulation and would appreciate (this does not only apply to Indians) that foreigners who migrate to Canada respect the policies, culture and rules of Canada while still keeping their culture. Limiting immigration is not racism just avoiding overpopulation.

What is freedom to black people? I understand there's different beliefs of what freedom is out here! Which creates the chaos because we can't have freedom and no rules or laws those actually don't coexist well together, especially in a world with different belief systems! Germany needs some types of skilled workers (doctors, nurses, IT engineers, etc.), but they want people who can think like a German for other office jobs. \n\nI am not a huge fan of German culture after living for 13 years but my home country Japan isn´t better for foreigners on many aspects..\n\nGerman taxation system and company cultures in the IT industry are not competitive with the US or Canada. Within Europe, I envy the digitalization of the governmental sectors in the Netherlands.\n\nThe skilled workers who may enjoy living here are the people who love the German culture. My understanding is that that is a minority, most of the foreigners I know in this country are not thrilled with the ´fun´ factor.\n\nThe people from politically unstable countries appreciate the German democracy and rules of law, which I agree with except for the accompanying bureaucracy. And the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is whole lot more scary than the German counterpart, which should not be any problem for legal skilled workers, though.
