Holy cow, are we really the safest?? I'm Asian from Republic of Korea. I liked USA but since a few days I'm really hating that country because of racism against Asians, Black people, people who are different religious. I've not seen other countries being this racist as America. I'm not saying that everyone from USA is racist but sadly i'm sure majority of them are! American people think that every Asian is Chinese and they call us Virus, they tell us to go back to our country if an Asian visits. This is how many Asians are losing interest in USA nowadays.. \nsorry for my bad English, i'm still learning! ??‍♂️

Canada has been good to me for last 20 years. That said, the system doesn't work for me. When I look at myself as highly qualified individual and when I compare myself to folks who are much less educated than me making the same or more (after tax), I feel discouraged to motivate myself to work hard. What's the point? That's why I've decided to move to US. It's really a land of opportunity for someone like me.

It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. Well, I doesn't take a genius to figure out, that, countries who have it well off due to many reasons, will continue to have immigrants pooring in, it won't stop, why? Well because the world turned its back on alot of countries who are suffering due to massive corruption, socialism, communism and nobody is helping these countries. So naturally those people will flood to other countries. Nobody helps these people retake their homeland.\n\nEven my country, was captured by communist radicals, in 30 years we went from 1st world to 3rd world ghetto. The USA has an over supply of milk and rather than adjusting production to meet demand America is using Canada as a dumping ground.\n\nAmerican companies have come to Canada and destroyed many Canadian companies, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Costco to name a few. these companies push very hard American products while ignoring Canadian suppliers. In no way would the US ever allow such a concentration of foreign businesses to take control of their economy. \n\nThe USA has been the only nation to violate Canadian Sovereignty.\n\nThousands of Canadians have died to protect the USA, but I can find no American who has died to protect Canada.\n\nCanada has fought in many American wars.\n\nCanada has supported the US during its many hurricanes.... I do not see Americans supporting Canada.\n\nIt must be noted that the USA has the largest military force in the world, yet they always ask for other nations to help them in wars. \n\nthe only nation to invoked Article 5 of NATO has been the USA... And no matter how different, how inconvenient or how unexpected, we’re asked to love our neighbor well. 1 corinthians 13:4-8 tells us Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Working in immigration law in Canada, it’s really sad that these people don’t understand the basic information about emigrating or migrating on asylum is scary. Canada is not that different from the US....they don’t really care about these people. People who come as students or temporary workers have a way better chance of obtaining residency then just showing up in desperation.

Like dude I was born in Canada and my parents are immigrints who came legally so I can tell you my side. A non biast side. Very well done! In Canada we are not really patriotic, we love being canadian but we ca speak more freely against it then in the US. We are more free in general because of the global safety. The culture is not only related to money. And lastly we are more aware or interested in the rest of the world. That being sais the last 4 years had destroyed the american brand, so I hope that Canadian way of living will rub off on the US so it would create a more stable and better world.

Only thing I want to point out: College/University isn't really cheaper in Canada. The thing is US has a lot of high end Ivy League schools that have been around for centuries and you are basically paying extra to be able to put that school on your resume. In terms of the normal non rich folk schools its the same for cost as well as our community colleges. Also your scholarships are way higher in value than ours could ever dream of being.

This may surprise a lot of people, but Canada is also more ethnically diverse in daily living than the USA... and by a lot. Nearly every grocery store in Canada has an ethnic section.... try finding that in the US... sure, they have it, but you have to really look... not so in Canada.

Racism is more in the open now, I am a senior and really do not know what words they use to discriminate these days, however my husband and I were walking in Walmart one day, then in between the aisles a disabled youth was walking with his mother and was coming towards us, then he said look, look a cockroach and pointed at us. My husband looked at me and I looked at him, no one else around,we realized he was calling us cockroach, needless to say, we thought hmmm, that person could hardly walk and he is calling us cockroach. We walked out of the store totally shocked. I was later told young people are getting their info from the dark web. We called it ignorance and left it that.

I am from the US and am ashamed at my country’s racism. My family has always taught me as a very very young child that my country was new and made up of people of every country...a melting pot. As my parents taught me I also taught my daughter. It wasn’t until she reached high school that racism was really addressed at my home. In her sophomore year she came home extremely distressed over a discussion at her lunch table. Mind you she had been with the same group of girls since kindergarten. The subject came up about a new girl in school, from another country... Africa. She was so distressed about the conversation before the end of day she spoke to a teacher about it...her math and track coach. I was incredibly proud of her! To this day I can’t thank my parents enough for instilling in me what I needed to live free. To this day my daughter 17 years later has the pleasure of that young girl from Africa as a part of her extended family. We know what we are taught and ignorance has no place in or society today. I also grew up in Chester, PA where Dr Martin Luther King Went to school or a time, my parents were so proud of that.
