If wearing a nikab or hijab or burka was a sign of respect and honor, we would all be walking around wearing bed sheets over our heads. That fact that only women are required to cover up is exactly why it is discriminating and a sign of male chauvinism by the muslim community and islam. Having grown up in the midwest of the USA, I find it offensive and oppressive to women to see them hiding under or behind a cloth garment. Talk to anyone who specializes in communication and you will quickly understand that there are many non-verbal communications from facial expressions that contribute to the way we humans communicate with each other. To suppress these facial expressions is like seeing without color and in black and white only. This is a fact of life and not open to debate.

I'd like to address this to the woman who went to one of Trump's rallies dressed as a Moslem with her head covered with a scarf and having a sign that reads, 'I come in peace'. I don't know why she was asked to be escorted out, but by her own words the people in the crowd were throwing questions at her as to whether she had a bomb under her cloak. Well, whether she knew it or not, she provoked the crowd by wearing the mark of a Moslem - her cloak. Also, by going to the rally dressed the way she was, she knew before hand that she'd be treated that way. On her part, I see that as provocation. Had she gone plainly dressed or attired like everybody else, there would have been no adverse reaction toward her. I don't know what she could have said why she was asked to be escorted out, but she fully knows that the whole of America had been given the real and true picture of Islam - one of terror, murder, beheading, bombs, war, and blood. How do Moslems expect the most compassionate, kind, benevolent people in the world to act? So, please, use your common sense and do not see America as the enemy, the aggressor, or the provocateurs. They're not. They are just being vigilant knowing that the enemy could be so sly, cunning and untrustworthy. Islamic people,we welcomed you to our country. Don't think that we are not watching you. I can't see 25k refugees coming to the GTA to work on the railways and build subways or doing construction work. The niquab is jeopardizing my safety. I have no idea who is under that garb. That is scary people. It is a sign of bondage. This is your choice to do in the privacy of their home NOT when in public. They are perpetually drawing attention to themselves when they wear this garb across their faces. I am really scared of having a person wearing this when I am around. This is CANADA people. In Canada this is NOT we wear. Canadians could not go to Pakistan and change their rules. Canada does not accomodate the hiding of the face especially when driving and in other public places like court. I am not racist, just a realist.

Women should wear what they want. However, there are signs on Bank doors saying 'do not wear bike helmets' yet these Muslim women can have only their eyes showing and get away with it for religious reason. They might as well walk into the Bank wearing a balaclava. They are intimidating, you are removing their human features thus making them threatening and suspicious.
