I don’t really understand why you join this kind of colleges as you can’t research before coming to country

For me if you come to a small community college is not easy. Like this people who come straight with no background sometimes even small family own store may not even hire you. Nowsaday jobs in canada is need at least 6 month experience or a certification that you actually did some hands on activity completed in the course. I also agree with some comments research before you come here. Many Indian student are so eager to get a job but without at least a 6 months experience need not easy. That is why sometimes I see many student suffer but in my opinion you have to know why you come here in the first place.

It wouldn't take much research to find this out. Put that smartphone to good use. Even word of mouth amongst the predominant group must happen or maybe start a Facebook group? If Canada began denying students VISA to them in order 'to protect' them, there would be an outcry. All to say, it's the parents and student responsibility to do their due diligence.

Just a shred of research beforehand would alleviate most of these issues. People seriously don't do any research before committing to something worth 74 years of salary? WHY?!

A lot of the points you made were true, but not exclusively Canadian problems, they’re western problems. I dated someone who lived in the US, and travelled back and forth. I also used to work for a major American health insurance company. It’s a nightmare. The cost of premiums alone. I totally agree about the cost of living here... but I think the rest of your points lacked research and any solid supporting arguments. It’s boring? Why? Where are you living? Because I’ve lived in Montreal, Toronto, now I live in a smaller town and I can find you’d something fun to do every day. I think if you’re bored you’re boring. I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

I had a option to move Overseas from Africa. I did my research and thought... What???...this is not for me, no money in the world will make me leave Africa?? my families that left Africa to move Overseas got illness that are not heard of in Africa and they are so depressed.?.... Come back?‍♀

Hello everyone...I've been to Canada,  and back in South Africa,  a failed immigrant,I'm a finance professional.  The country is inviting thousands especially from the subcontinent so they bring and burn all their savings in Canada.  Its not about how hard it is or how quickly you can get into Canada. Its about what you will do there. There are simply not enough jobs for skilled educated workers  , its ok for meat cutters and other blue collar jobs who have nothing to lose,but not for qualified professionals.  It's a harsh,  unwelcoming country where Ex professionals from India end up driving taxis. My advice...if you are a professional degreed worker in India,  Please do NOT move to Canada unless you have a confirmed job offer or have done your research.  Do your math about salary vs. Living expenses. Good luck. Don't jump into a lake if you can't swim...

Nice ad for ex travel money, well there are multiple forex companies that can provide much faster fxt transaction for fee payment in United States. Something which takes 4 hours is not considered ultra fast mode of payment. Also for remittance fees and commission, there are certain companies that takes commission after transaction has been done. Hello I am an Indian planning to migrate abroad and my primary targets are Australia and Canada and after watching this video I am inclined toward Canada but I researched thoroughly and found that moving to Canada is very tough especially for a person like me who has done a Bachelor of science with physics as my core subject but doesn't have any skills other than my Bachelor's degree. My question is which country among the two are easier to migrate with my qualification?

You both make valid points about Canada. I am 2nd generation Canadian. I do feel like its expensive here and Even I have a hard time landing a job. (Recently got laid off from my career job, they said I didn't have enough experience to work there). My friends who aren't single and live with their partner, have an easier time living here compared to people who are single & living by themselves. \n\nNight life is boring here. However, daytime life specially in the summer is better. I feel like Canada is more for an outdoor person. Depending where you live, there are beaches, mountains, trails, & lakes to explore. Some parts of Canada even look tropical! We have hot springs here as well!\n\nFor the leisure & work life balance, I feel like that depends on the person. I used to work 2 jobs (not because I was bored or needed the money at the time), I just wanted to save more money & help my friend out with his business. I felt like I had good balance of work & leisure. I hanged out with my friends on Friday & Saturdays then I had my 'me' days on Sundays.\n\nIf you are going to move here, do your research, also I don't think people consider their countries dollar into the equation, what I mean is, if you want to convert your money to Canadian... you might have less money then you have. Example, at this moment, 1 Mexican Peso is 0.066 Canadian dollars, therefor people coming from Mexico might have a hard time afford things in Canada compared to a person who is moving from USA. Welcome to Canada first if all. Why do people choose to leave their own homeland, then complain once they move to their chosen location? Canada has wonderful opportunities for anyone coming here, but if you think it’s a bed of roses, your dead wrong. Do your homework , research, decide what’s best for you. Live here for a few years , decide then. If it’s got you, move on, move out, your choice. But like any country there are good as well as bad. You can live a good life in Canada. So sorry we have cold winters that make us have the need to import many items and drive up the need to live here. So sorry you came and don’t enjoy the lifestyle here. Don't come to USA its the same way but worse. The rent is very high. I can save you a trip. I was born and raised here in USA. Texas and Las Vegas would be good for you two. But people work like dogs with no benefits in Vegas. Only a few Jobs have benefits. I lived there. Also do your research here. Food prices, gas, housing is expensive. . People work paycheck to paycheck. It sounds like the healthcare is still the same since 2008 in Canada. They came here to get a procedure because Canada took to long. You tww are young and buetiful. Great content but I had a smile on my face throughout. Have you met the big brother of them all, the UK? These things are the same in most hyped western countries. The thing is, there is a lot of hype about the popular western countries among the migrants from countries prone to emigration. The issue is that migrants don't do enough research before jetting off. They only see the surface benefits from afar and get carried away. It is migrants who need to do their homework before moving.

First of all I'm guessing you are in Toronto or Vancouver or Calgary maybe Montreal, The most expensive places in Canada to Live for sure. I live in Manitoba where the cost of living is pretty close to the cheapest in Canada. Yes minimum wage is $11.95 and apparently going up shortly. I totally agree with you about being taxed to death and the only reason Trudeau legalized pot was for another way to get more tax dollars. I wonder how the pot-heads feel about him now. Free health care you mentioned waiting 8 hours in emergency but you failed to mention if you need to see a specialist your talking months and you'll probably die first. This video may aimed to build awareness on fact about Canada as you both saw it but researching things about why things are the way they are would have been more informative than what sound basic and speculative and not absolutely hung on facts like when Canada provide World class infrastructure at bear minimum cost is directly the trade off on earnings. Certain service oriented employment are not big earners and for immigrants that are non professionals it is not the right country to migrate to after you did so now you are doing the first work after you find yourself there. Pls research and inform immigrants of a well paying jobs in Canada and you just got yourself a winner.

Ontario is an economic juggernaut? Clearly this guy researched with Google. The hospitals and schools are inadequate, good stable jobs are nearly a myth and our infrastructure is in shambles (drive through any city in Southern Ontario at any time of day). If you're young, the sooner you leave, the more you can thank yourself later.
