Crime and homelessness is rampant in every city and town across the country . There is a very serious housing crisis as i speak. The country is short upto 4 million homes driving up the price of real estate and rental housing. For example where i live in British Columbia a 1 bedroom apartment rents for $2200 per month for a 50 year old apartment. It costs about $100 dollars for a single bag of groceries. It costs about $4000 dollars per month just to exist. All of that and our government has gone the way of socialism and our rights and freedom are being removed at an alarming rate.

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

I work at a manufacturing plant and we resentky laid off a bunch of elderly hard working Canadians and replaced them with Indian students working through agencies. They are not actually in schooll and work far more than the alotted hours. When reported the company simply pays a small fine and keeps going.

Every single working staff including receptionist in my condo was fired and replaced by Indians in past year or so. Its sad to see that the government just doesn't care about well being of its own citizens.

Rich people got super rich , middle class lost ground and ordinary people are fight for survival literally. And with AI it will only get worse. Capitalism is failing. I was a gay kid who ran away to Toronto in 1982, age 17. Minimum wage was $4/hr and a bachelor at Church and Charles was $350, a one bedroom was $400 - $425. I had a relatively successful career as a pianist/entertainer and teacher at the Y. I was never able to purchase, but rented as the real estate prices only lept and bounded as interest rates on savings declined. I can no longer afford to live in TO, but bought a 100 acre farm in Parry Sound District by cutting a cheque. I have no community... and my cohort as all approaching 60... but the Toronto of the 80's and 90's no longer exists. The discos are gone, the kids today have no appreciation of ACT or Casey House or the hell we went through. But, the virus is controlled... I am rambling, but the city is no longer a place where young disenfranchised can go to be free to exist and be themselves. I worry about the kids of today who will never have enough money to leave home and go to where life can happen. And don't tell me that a cell phone is a replacement for a physical, real existence!!

I lived in Toronto from 2017 to 2023 and you could watch the decline in real time. Crazy housing crisis, homelessness and drug addiction epidemic, rampant random violent crime, the city became extremely dirty, increases in taxes, a public transit system and healthcare that’s falling apart. Not to mention the crazy inflation and greedflation and city becoming soulless, family businesses (art studios, bars, restaurants, fitness centers) being replaced by McDonalds’s, Dollarama, Shoppers Drug Mart. Meanwhile the government’s main concern is censoring news and importing foreign wage slaves.

Maybe the renters need to organize and pay only 25% of their rent payments. LandGods cannot afford to evict if replacements would also only pay a quarter of rent. Also, like illegals in the USA they could house share without landGod's knowledge.

I am 63 born and raised in Canada all my life and can honestly say that I have never been as embarrassed to be a Canadian since the pandemic where we let millions of immigrants come here take our jobs (with government subsidies) abuse of our free medicare system and have all their family members abuse it. Our government is in the immigration business. They know computers and robots are replacing workers but robots don't pay taxes (yet). They need to grow the population to keep the GDP up. Women entered the job market which raised the economy but lowered the quality of life and the number of babies born. No one is winning The only reason to come here is to make a better life for your kids and that's a maybe.

I came to Canada in Jan 2022 on permanent residence from India and returned back to India in November 2023. My reason to move to Canada was, I moved back to India for personal reasons after living in USA for 10 years (studies + work). I moved to Canada because I missed US, and thought it was difficult to adjust in India, and US would never give me green card anyway (due to country of birth quota). I moved to Canada with a job in hand, but opportunties are limited here. On top salaries are low, even compared to India. Healthcare is a disaster. In US, I could see a doctor next day. I had 4 surgeries done in US, multiple CT scans and countless X-rays. Never had an issue. In Canada, despite paying high taxes I fear of not able to get medical treatment and wait for months to see specialist. \nSlowly I realized, this country is not USA anyway and was naive of me to think of it as a viable replacement. I ended up returning back to India, as in end I realized India has issues, Canada has different ones but in India at least I can earn well (70 to 80K CAD while 2 BHK costs me like 500 CAD per month, 300,000 CAD for luxurious 3.5 BHK) and I can be close to my parents, the reason for which I left US. I will always miss US though. As long as I have family in India, I will never think of settling anywhere else. But the only country I would ever consider in future is USA.

A better question would whether or not he thinks Hamas governs the Gaza Strip in the best interest of the Palestinian people. And if so, which policies does he believe should be adopted by Saudi Arabia. And if he doesn’t support Hamas, then what can such a rich and plentiful country like Saudi Arabia do to help the Palestinians, with regard to an alternate government. No one is interested in conquering the lands of the WB or GS. The question is what to do to improve the quality of life in those areas, and replacing Hamas with a government that cares about its people would be an easy starting point.

I caution you on one aspect that will remain the same wherever you go and that is the issue of schooling and influence - YOU WILL HAVE TO BE INVOLVED AND REMAIN VIGILANT regardless of where you go as no school can replace the foundational structure of parenting and all institutions have personalities with agendas in spite of expressed mission. As for recommendations of where to relocate also consider Suranime where 14% of the population is Muslim. Since I've lived in Islamic lands the world has changed so much that xenophobia against even other Muslims in countries that used to be so welcoming to the stranger but for a variety of reason is also factor you MUST consider.
